Our flat is just going on the market...I'm too scared to read most of this thread!

I'm also in shock at what we've been valued at .... I hope someone will want to buy it!

Last 2 viewings have been no shows :( so disheartening! We're looking to buy a new build so will be switching to an assisted sale scheme in the coming weeks & they list with 2 EAs. Will be interesting to see if the competition makes a difference! Albeit doesn't guarantee viewers will turn up...
  • It looks like I may be graduating to the waiting for exchange board! We accepted an offer today, it's a little less than the asking price but to be fair the asking price was more than we'd dared to hope for anyway. We're really pleased :) and the buyer is keen to get a move on which suits us well. Fingers crossed! Just happy I don't have any more viewings hahaha
  • I've just realised since we've been back for sale, we're down as a bungalow on right move, so anyone that searches for a house (as everyone does), won't find out, which may explain the lack of interest in the last 3 weeks...! Hopefully EA fixing this currently.
First win (October) - Apple Ipod off a radio competition
November - new nokia mobile phone, £250 electrical voucher (both radio comptitions)
March - 2 cinema tickets to see 27 dresses (radio again!)

I posted some weeks back saying we were coming off the market until next year.. I then got talked into giving it one last push to take advantage of the Sept/Oct market on a 6 week deal with new agent.
Surprise surprise it's been just as quiet :(
Reduced by 10k too and even redecorated.

I'm soooo fed up today. My area is a nightmare, there's properties like mine in range between £350k - £550k. We're at £415k and everyone tells me it's priced low and is an excellent buy yet sod all viewings and no offers.
I'm starting to wonder if people are put off because we've been on the market for 9 months.. can't seem to win but I'm just so loathed to admit defeat as not moving is really effecting our lives.

Just needed to let off some steam because run out of positive thoughts today.
  • I know how you feel Gru we're in the same boat. We we're meant to have a viewing on Sat which was a no show and it's just so disheartening. Then today we've had a weird handwritten letter asking us to call them who will offer us x amount and to go direct as to save on fees?!? Everything is just so meh

Gosh that's weird! Are you going to follow it up?
I'm just angry with everyone at the moment.. if my dear mother tells me to 'just be patient' one more time..
  • Probably not because I reckon it's a scam, they 'investors' and want to buy it in cash!?!. They are offering more than what's it's up for!! I've not told Mr yet, so I'll wait till he's seen the letter.

Haha my mother keeps telling me that and my grandmother keeps telling it'll happen all of a sudden

just popped in to say hi!

WTG Chickenmamma, that's such good news!

So sorry others are still waiting ... it does seem to be a weird time of year, the agent we're now buying through says it seems to be unusually quiet and they're hoping for an October rush of people wanting to move before Christmas.

I really do hope all is well and that good offers from pleasant people are just around the corner for everyone still waiting! I do share the frustration and anxiety - even with an offer I'm completely stressed out this time around and I'm not really sure why it should be this bad. Fingers crossed that we all come out the other end with smiles and find ourselves just where we want to be.
