  • Gagging order that sounds very promising.
  • Daddy liked it so the deal is on.
Spent today looking at houses but everything seems to have had an extra 10k or more just within the last two weeks! The market is mad!

    Yay! Congrats!

You can always go in with a low ball offer. You never know.

The house I REALLY REALLY want has been up for a while...I'm going to be truly gutted if it sells before we sell ours.

Nothing back from EA after i sent them the additional info the viewers requested...hopefully hear from them tomorrow. They have been brilliant so far..cant fault them. (switched EA's in March) x

So the potential buyers are "very interested" but have concerns about the club next door. They are going to drive by at the weekend to see how much the club has an impact on the house.

I am not hopeful though..if they were that interested I think they would have made an offer. Argh x

You never know... Fingers crossed there's nothing too raucous planned at the club this weekend!

To me it sounds like they must be serious. It seems the club is not enough to put them instantly off. Whether a house has a club/pub or nothing next door it is always recommended to drive by at different times/days to see what the area is like before putting an offer in.

    Good luck!

You mentioned there is a house that you really, really like that is up for sale, and you would be gutted if it sold before you have accepted an offer on yours. Have you viewed it yet? If not then do and view thoroughly so that if you do get an offer on yours then you can get your offer in instantly.

We were in a similar position. Viewed it and loved it but hadn't sold ours. We dropped our price by £2k and within 24 hrs had 2 parties making offers! Accepted and then offered on the house we loved and that was it.

Thanks Ellie. It is a quiet place but I understand their concerns. The house would have sold long ago if the club didn't exist but ah well.

We have viewed and already have an offer in mind that we will make as soon as ours is sold. It has also been on the market a long time so fingers crossed. Will hold off at dropping the price at the mo but it is certainly something we are looking at doing (we have already dropped it 10k) x

When we bought our current place we decided to drive buy one weekend to check out the neighbourhood. As we got closer to the house we could hear loud music blearing out. Concerned, we parked up and wandered towards it... It was coming from the house we were buying! Turns out the vendor's step son was occupying it while the vendor lived elsewhere. Just as well we went and had a proper look rather than driving away to retract our offer!
