Well, I was all excited, but not one peep back from my vendor! Clearly not as keen to sell as you lot.
I'm off to see a place in a better location but needing more done tomorrow, so hoping it is nice
But it is SO NICE to have laundry rampantly scattered all over the house for today! It's the little things....2021 GC £1365.71/ £24000 -
My house has been on the market for just over a month. I've had 3 viewings so far and another tomorrow.
I keep on looking on Rightmove and have only seen a handful I like in my price range which tend to sell fast. When is it worth doing actual viewing of properties when I do not know if my house will sell tomorrow, next week or months ahead as it's not like I can put an offer in?
Also I hope I don't need to a mortgage if I sell my house and manage to have an offer accepted in my price range so when do I get in touch with a solicitor, is it now so I know the costs or when I receive an offer?
This will be the first time I've sold a house so I'm not really sure of the procedure regarding being in a chain and setting completion dates etc compared to when I was a ftb.0 -
Hi Jimmy, I would say you can view properties if you like but you won't really be in a position to make an offer until you have an offer on your place.
Do you have a solicitor in mind that you want to use, maybe use this time to investigate solicitors if you don't have an idea yet and when you get an offer on your place and put an offer on a house you will need to give your solicitor details to the estate agents.
You can get a mortgage agreement in principle from the bank when you have an idea of how much you will need to borrow.
Estate agents were always asking me if I had an offer on my flat and an agreement in principle when I went to view houses.
Good luck0 -
Jox replied to you with what I would've said.
no charge!0 -
So after everything going quiet we had an offer! £9k under asking price but higher than we expected the viewer to go. It's fairly near what we were hoping to achieve so countered it... All gone a bit quiet since and the guy that offered has said he's waiting on a response to another offer he's put in for a more expensive house before he does anything else.
Not hugely confident but it's progress!0 -
Has he really offered on two at once or is that flannel?
He has let you know he has the cash anyway!0
