Thats positive that you have a buyer goodwithsaving, just view everything you can in and just over your price range and hopefully youll get lucky!
Well we had a last minute viewer today. Got a call from the EA at 3.30 for a 5.45 viewing. Good job the house was pretty tidy so i managed to tidy up the rest in time. It was a FTB with a mortgage approved. They had 2 young children an were specifically looking in close proximity to the local primary school - we are a 5 min walk away and it was one of the big reasons of wanting this one. They seemed to like it, said they've got 10 more houses to see between now an Tuesday so fingers crossed we hear good news at the end of next week!

 and here we all are saying there's nothing coming to the market!
Weird call from the agent today (online / call centre), asking if the house is still available:eek::eek:
You can imagine my reaction!
Apparently the enthusiastic viewer called back today and asked if it was still available, then there was some confusion over a note on the file regarding the previous offer that fell through, leading to nobody having a clue what was going on and her not getting through to the right person. Not sure what she has now gone away thinking! I also don't know what was actually said to her or what the actual purpose of her enquiry was, could be a second viewing or it could be an offer, could be neither...
The account manager has now left her a message to call back. Hope this farce hasn't scared her off, I'll be furious.
Update 24/06 - My enthusiastic potential buyer is coming back for a second viewing on Monday. keep everything crossed for me!!0 -
well after having to pull out completely a week after we accepted an offer, due to my wife being made redundant, we might possibly be trying again
the new build we had reserved is still available (i expect it to go any day though). My wife was offered another job last Friday, on a salary only a little bit less than what she is currently on. So I've emailed out mortgage advisor to see if we could still proceed, not sure if there is a probation period in the new job (that question has been asked), but hoping he says yes. If so, I'll be straight on the phone to TW and the EA
really not trying to get hopes up, its frustrating that she got another job so quickly in a way, as if we had known, we wouldn't have had to pull out and might potentially be in the new house0 -
Hi all...looking to join in with you! We're in Scotland so have our Home Report booked for tomorrow and the EA will also be out to take the photographs. All going well it looks like we could be on the market by next week!
First time seller and absolutely terrified...we love our flat and the area but it's time to move onto a house.0 -

Did you initially get three valuations or just the one? How did the others compare - did you go with the highest?
What's the compromise with it then? Is the area not so great (hence their comments), are you next to a pub, a motorway, no parking, opposite a school, flat roof, townhouse, ex-LA... what? There must be something as to why it's not selling.
Give us a link if you're feeling brave (I'll try to be kind but I'm blunt and others will be harsher than me - I'll apologise in advance for us all!)
Good luck!

There are mortgages that do if you can provide evidence of the contract for the job. We've had to do this. With nationwide.0 -
Well we've had 24 hours of drama!
received an offer early yesterday morning - too low and we rejected.
5 minutes later we got notified of an offer from another buyer on the house we really want to buy
Tea-time our potential buyer upped the offer, still not what we were looking for but I didn't go back straight away.
Less than 5 minutes later we got further notification that the house we want is SSTC
Within a minute of that (without us responding to the second offer) our buyer upped their offer again to an amount we can accept - 1 minute too late for us to proceed with the house we want!! You couldn't make it up:mad:
Sometimes I think if it wasn't for bad luck we'd have no luck at all.
Spent last night trawling Rightmove and there isn't a single other property on the market in our search area that we would even want to view0 -
thanks for that - we've just had confirmation that her probation period is 6 months...hoping mortgage lender will accept that as we are tied into a fixed rate with them until december 20180

Hi just wondered if anyone can say whether in these days of internet searches it makes much difference which, if any, estate agent you use.
I have an inherited property up for sale at the moment. It is empty. Lovely house MASSIVE garden, but not many viewings in 4 months and no offers. I am pretty sure it is not priced too high, though could drop the price a little if necessary.
Thanks. We don't stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing.0
