When we come to sell our current house in a couple of years, I will probably do the viewings myself, but then I did work, briefly, as an EA many years ago so did them for other people. The policy of the agency I worked for was to always do the viewings where possible so we could get the feel of how things went.
I'm starting to get quite excited about our purchase now, and wish we would be moving into it rather than having to wait for a couple of years.Make £2025 in 2025

Another viewing tonight:eek:
I'm obviously pleased we're getting plenty of interest , but really hope one translates into an offer soon. Keeping the house spic and span is getting exhausting! Hubby keeps telling me the law of averages means one will offer eventually but I'm just sooooo impatient0 -
Great news hazyjo!!!0

Thanks all! Over the moon now the shock's worn off LOL. She viewed last Sun, offered on Mon. Her husband (and 2 year old) hadn't even seen it! I told the EA and they agreed he ought to, so they came last night. I was bawling my eyes out after they left as we're so happy the house is going to them. SUCH a lovely family. Coming from a one bed flat to what has been a VERY happy home with 3 beds and a garden. They've come into some money (bereavement).
She said their FTB wanted theirs asap and had booked the survey in already (viewed on the open day last Sat and offered same day). She assured us no rush, said they're really happy to wait as long as it takes and will prob go into rented for a while. Said they're laid back and won't hassle or anything and will go with the flow.
Just lovely lovely lovely people. I truly believe they were meant to come along and buy it. Fingers crossed it works out.
How's everyone else getting on? Pumpkim? Sounds imminent for you.
Got a second view of a house on Sat - not sure they'll take our offer, but you never know... x2024 wins: *must start comping again!*0 -

That's so nice Hazy, it was meant to be!
We didn't hear back from our viewing on Monday but have another one Saturday. Im quite liking how clean and tidy the house has been kept this week! (Not sure how long that will last)0 -
Greay news Hazy!
We didnt get the render patched up this week - on closer inspection it needs more patching than we have money for at the moment, so we got a quote to get the work done so viewers can see the cost of it (£3k) and reduced the house by £5K to account for it. House was reduced yesterday so lets hope we get some interest. Getting fed up of this selling game now.

No news from any of the recent viewings, it's so frustrating and I got a notification from Purplebricks today that there is a viewing booked on the house we want (it gives you notifications on the houses you save), so now i'm dreading getting notification that there is an offer. I'm having a down day. Doesn't help that work is super busy and stressful and hubby is away with work for 2 weeks
Hope it all goes to plan with the house you are viewing on Saturday xx:T0 -
Had mine made to SSTC today after 2 days on the market but the problem is there is nowhere to buy! My buyer assures me he will be patient but I worry that if it takes a month, he'll be put off.0
