I think your main down-side comes from being in an old crossroads type village, which is similar in layout to the old town next to me, so streets are narrow and houses are arranged quite tightly. It's quaint and people love it, but then, when it comes to buying, many will want a bit more space around. At least you sit back off the road, have a garage and don't have any people with rights of ay through your garden: quite common here.
Anyway, someone enquiring from the agent's sign board has already accepted the closeness of other properties. This doesn't come across in the particulars, unless people are good at Street View etc.
It's difficult to have it all. Our village is linear and traffic whips through it accordingly. There aren't many quaint thatched cottages and there's no very obvious centre along the main street. It's not ugly, but it lacks the charm of yours. The only advantage it has to a viewer is more space around most of thre hotch-potch of different aged properties.
That's my take on it.0 -
Thanks Dave. I sent them to the pub so (you probably know it) that will sell it to them. Also she is a churchgoer and our church is STUNNING and the community is fab.
Still not getting my hopes up. Nice people.0 -
