Well, guess I can join this thread now. House went on the market yesterday - though the estate agent managed to squeeze in one viewing the evening before (and before we'd signed any paperwork !). Appeared on Rightmove this morning - four viewings booked in this afternoon apparently. Might be something to do with it being the only 3 bed house not STC on the market within a 1/4 mile radius. And no, we don't live in the middle of nowhere ...

Kind of hoping things slow down a bit - we've yet to find anything like what we're after, and the money from my Voluntary Severance isn't going to be coming until the end of June ...

Oh well, so much for the slowing down. We appear to be "Under Offer" ...

Going to have to join the "Waiting for a House to Buy" thread now ...

We've got a viewer coming on Saturday - I feel optimistic about this one and I dont know why!

Today I've been looking at the budget and sorting out paying my Car tax, the remainder of our holiday cost & getting out of our overdraft permanently - we usually go in towards month end. (£200)

Got my rightmove stats today from EA. Also been thinking about replacing the upstairs carpets too - I feel they let the house down so going to get some quotes after the Easter weekend.

    Hey everyone I am back!

Quick update on us old agency have got the boot! Another 3 weeks left with them. However, they are already telling people it's been 'removed from the market' and now it's missing from Rightmove but still on Zoopla. So unsure what their game is right now!

We went on with a new agency this evening. 10k less on asking price and without sounding smug. I am very proud of the work myself and my husband have put into the property. The entire place has been decorated from top to bottom with new carpets on the stairs also. (Rest is laminate). Yes, at times we have been stressed and taken it out on each other but 12 hour days painting would do that to anyone. The photos are perfect! Although, the windows are not dressed but hopefully that's not a big deal..? The property is empty and selling so I don't want to fork out now for blinds etc as the windows are odd sizes so standard will not fit

I had my first viewer in over two weeks yesterday, no feedback from estate agent yet. I was just about to give the agent's the news that I was thinking of changing them and, just before picking up the phone to tell them they rang about viewing. I'll see if any news by Tuesday and maybe still tell them I want to change agents.

It was a huge undertaking but needed to be done. The house is 9 years old and for 5 it was rented out. Everything is white so that added more work to it!

Outside areas all powerwashed, fences repaired (tenants ripped them down) and painted and kitchen steam cleaned. So all grout is sparking white. I am at the stage where I can do no more with it!
