  • It accepts my readings weird thing is one of them always registers on the site. But then they estimate it and it's as if they are not submitted.

So you should then receive an email with those submitted readings on :)

That email explains why sometimes submitted meter readings fail. It's not under the control of the supplier.
The meter readings only show up in your account if/when they are classified as 'CORRECT' - again not something the supplier is responsible for.

If you don't provide a meter reading for the day the bill/statement is produced (usually the last day of the month), or it is not classified as 'CORRECT', then that will be why you are getting estimated readings used.

I never had an issue with other suppliers and I submitted my readings the same day they sent an email asking me for them. When I submitted them on the website they sent an email confirming receipt however they never seemed to hit my account it's been the same since September. The gas one always uploads though but electricity doesn't.

Other suppliers may do things differently, but some do it the same way as Iresa.
The way Iresa do it (and the others that do it the same way) is apparently to avoid the confusion many express when they have submitted meter readings, those readings are on the online account, yet the supplier does not use them as they are not verified as CORRECT.

If you were happy with a previous supplier, and not with the way Iresa do things, then why not switch back to that previous supplier?
... and pay their higher prices ;)

I was with a cheaper supplier before that and was very happy but the prices went up. They did it the same way as iresa and it worked. Why would my readings not be verified as correct and why not since September. What does the customer have to do. Call them every time?

I've now switched to breeze energy and all good so far.

... Why would my readings not be verified as correct ...
    A good question.
I ahve no idea why the meter readings you submit are not verified as CORRECT
... ecept for the obvious reason ;)

No. no point. As I said, it's not under the control of the supplier, but rather an independant third party verifier.

The email you receive tells you what to do ;)

Good for you. No more reasons for you to moan about Iresa now, even when it's not their fault :)

As it was only 24 hours ago you said you were leaving Iresa after being with them for about 12 months, I must say that is extremely quick switching by Breeze Energy.

... or probably far too soon for you to comment?

Having been with them 1 year I am now leaving. I upload readings every month but the electric doesn't register so I end up with estimated bills. My account is 200 pounds in credit.

Takes ages to sort anything and the website is poor.

Not sure how your account would be in credit by such a large amount when all your readings are estimated, as the submitted ones were not verified as CORRECT.

In regards to credit, you don't get that back mid-term with Iresa, but rather they would reduce your monthly DD (but only after 6 months with them)
This you would have been advised of.

Probably because your submitted meter readings are not being verified as CORRECT by the independent third party would also cause an issue with obtaining any refund.

Now you have decided to leave Iresa, you will have to await a final bill to establish the clsoing balance before any credit is refunded ... or any debit needs to be paid.
This last point is a common process with all suppliers, afaik.

You seem very pro iresa. Yes I am changing go breeze energy submitted my opening reads today.

Moan about Iresa. This is a feedback forum good or bad. So unless you work for the company I am not sure why you are defending their poor service as of yet you've given no reason as to why my readings are not verified other than suggesting my readings may be fake?

You are not being very helpful at all and suggest the emails tell me what to do. Do you not think I've been following those. It's not difficult to submit a meter reading is it. So unless you've anything useful to add to my feedback to suggest anything other than their poor systems not accepting my readings.

If you are blaming a third party verifier for not accepting my readings then that's all pretty daft as far as I am concerned I upload to iresas portal so it's their problem to sort and when I speak with then they don't seem to know themselves what is wrong with the site. My readings are not massively different to the estimated reading but there's an overcharge by 20 quid a month with their readings and my own. Funny thing is they accept it when I call so this is their issue.

Judging by the feedback others feel the same.

As I said before I end up calling and getting them to recalculate it with my reading manually given over the phone. It's a waste of time though as your on hold for upto 50 minutes at one point. They tell me they can't refund unless the bill is based on a reading which I've already sent. One month maybe an estimated bill comes in but I've always uploaded on the first day only iresas website does not include it.

But your readings are not verfied as CORRECT
You need to address why that is to progress matters

This would also suggest that your initially submitted anticipated annual consumption was significantly inaccurate. So inaccurate that it could signficantly affect what is the best supplier & tariff for you.

I do hope you have revised that amount down accordingly before deciding on who to switch to ;)
    It's a waste of time though ...
    Quite ;)

Dear oh dear you don't seem to be getting it.

What exactly do you think I do when I call or Twitter them. Talk about the weather?

They are clueless to know what is what and why this is happening. As it is generally fine on one of the accounts.

Their estimated reading is approx 20 quid out of the actual reading so I am not sure why they stopped accepting them after September.
