I am also peeved about him spreading lies about me round my neighbourhood, hopefully people will know why he is doing it, but i guess some wont.
To put your mind at ease just find out what lies he has spread and prove them wrong in your actions towards your other neighbours without talking or engaging in any direct contact with him. That way he will look like the s!!! he is.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Have found this thread fascinating as we are hoping to sell our house and have seen one that we quite like BUT someone who lives behind that house is applying for planning perission to build a house in his back garden which would overlook the gardens and houses of several of his neighbours.
Obviously if he gets permission the house we like (and its neighbours houses) are not so appealing.
Sounds as if lots of the neighbours are objecting so he may not get permission but it would always be a possible cloud.
Have suggested to DH that if the person does not get planning permission then maybe we could buy it and have a house with a really good sized garden as we would not want to build another house but maybe a small extension in a year or so.
Let us know how you get on."This site is addictive!"

Any more news?
If you fancy a giggle, then you can go down to the council and read the entire planning folder for the application. It will show exactly what comments the planning officer and other agencies have made, the reasons why they feel it unsuitable and all the letters of support/objection will be there too.
Obviously any correspondence from the man himself as well.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Hi Diva,
Any news? It must be a week now. Has it been called in or is it being refused under delegated powers? We had some good news here yesterday, a planning application we fought hard against has been refused under delegated powers. A similar project was also turned down on appeal a year or so ago so the developer's unlikely to try that route again.
Do keep us updatedI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

nope still no news but with the postal strike etc... prob wont receive any letters for a few more days.
As far as i know and i spoke to the local councillors late last week they are not calling it in so it will be under delgated powers.
The to*ser next door has told another neighbour on sunday that he will be appealing so round 2 will be starting soon.
doozer i have been and read the file and it made very interesting reading!!
he has been having informal chats for about 2 years with planning ranging from asking about a bugalow to a 3 bed house, all were replied to saying they think the plot is to constrained for development. so god knows why he went for a 4 bed house!!!!
what did make me laugh was one of his letters started.I am riteing to ask about the possibility of a development.
can you spot it yet?????0 -

The Council will have considered the possibility of an appeal when they made their decision. They don't like to waste Council Tax payers' money on a decision which is likely to be overturned, on appeal, so they (Council) will be confident that their decision will be upheld. No guarantee, but promising.
On appeal, all the comments made are automatically sent to the Planning Inspectorate. There is no need for you to resend your original objection letter - it will go the PI automatically :j
You can, of course, send it again - and if you do so, you will be sent a copy of the PI's decision. Even if you don't do this, once you know the appeal number, you can keep track of what's going on, on the PI website anyway.
If you do decide to lodge your views with the PI, don't go OTT. I would suggest that you simply write, state you want to object and enclose a copy of your original letter. The more clear & succinct you are, the better chance you have of making your case.

right there were 2 reasons for refusal.
1. The proposed development, by virtue of its height, bulk, depth and design form, fails to relate to the pattern of development in the area and would have an adverse effect upon the amenities of neighbouring properties and the character of the area. Thus, proposals are contrary to Env POlicy H of the Bournemouth, Poole and Dorset Structure PLan (2000) and policy H12 of the Borough of Christhucrh Local Plan (2001).
the second one is very very long winded but the gist is that it is within 5km of an SSSI, SPA and Ramsar site. etc...0
