You might find the following link helpful. It has the dates of Planning Control Committee meetings. The next one appears to be 11 October. There are also links to agenda, which will hopefully appear before the meeting, and advice on attending such meetings.

right i spoke to counciller about this yesterday, and he said it will only go to committe now if the planning is going to grant (which we know shes not!!) or if the to*ser next door asks for it to be a full hearing, he said if the recommendation is to refuse then the chairman will just knock it off the agenda even with the 16 letters of objection as it is a refusal

Also some good news is that the peition that we collected about 60 sigs will now count as 60 objections!!!! They have recently changed the rules where as before it only counted as one nnow it counts as however many sigs there are!! :j
  • Thats great news, fingers crossed.
  • Good luck it sounds as if you have him "on the run " so to speak. Look forward to hearing the (good) outcome.

    UPDATE

The officers recommendation is to refuse. 100%. She now has to wait 7 days to see if anyone calls it in. If not her decision stands.

Obviously there is an appeal, and i think he will go down that route.

Its a quiet victory for me today. I have had a headache none stop for 2 weeks. I have to put up with the next door neighbour slagging me off to all and sundry and i now have to go through with the appeal process, and so he still might get something in the end.

I made a trip to see the full file at teh council offices today and it makes very interesting reading!!

He has been having consultations for about 2 years with planning, he asked for a 2 bed, 3 bed, bungalow and now a 4 bed. They were all responded to saying that they dont see it fitting but if he wants to go ahead and submit for full planning they will see. I think this was his first and hopefully last full go at getting planning.

All the letters that the council have witten state that they think the plot is to small for the proposed devlopment. And that was only on a 2 bed, 3 bed and bungalow. He did show them plans to make the new devlopment a semi detached with it being attached to his existing property, and the plans were a right shambles.

One set of plans i think he did himself as they had no scale, and it looks like a childs drawing.:rotfl:

Hopefully he will just slink away, but not without bad mouthing me around all tehe whole neighbourhood.

1 neighbour has withdrawn there letter, but didnt state the reasons why only that she had changed her mind. I have heard on the grapevine that she has a log burner and he used to provide her with free logs, perhaps the threat of losing the logs made her withdraw who knows
  • Thats great news, as for the withdraw i wouldnt worry its only one.

another update oh busy night tonight!!

just spoke to my local councillor (oh how he must love me lobbying him at every opportunity) :D

my neighbour called him today about what can the councillors do about me starting petitions and getting mass objection letters, and also asked if the councillors can do anything to make sure this development gets granted.

The councillor told him that he cant speak about it as he sits on the local planning committee and to get in touch with the other ward councillor. At the moment it is being refused under delegated powers, but we have to wait 7 days to see if it gets called in or not .

I hope it doesnt get called in, but if it does then i will have 5 mins to do my speech at the next council planning meeting which will be in november. god im terrified about that.

He apparently said that I am out of order for organising petitions etc... and what can he do to stop me, the councillor said 'you cant do anything it is anyones right to object and to organise petitions etc...' :D

He then also said what you cant do though is intimidate or bribe people to make/withdraw objections ;) (dig dig) :D

God i hate this to*ser so much i have never wished any of my neighbours harm but this one i will put in the bloody box myself. Its only been about 5 weeks and i feel like its been a year  i just know that this is not going to end quietly, he will go on and on and on.

I am also peeved about him spreading lies about me round my neighbourhood, hopefully people will know why he is doing it, but i guess some wont.

That's good news about the officer's decision Diva. I have my fingers crossed that it won't get called in. If it does, I'll help you with your speech and go with you for moral support if you want. It's not as difficult a thing to do - trust me.

As to t*sser and the spreading of lies and the intimidation etc. It just shows what an idiot he is. Rise above it. If the neighbours believe him, then they weren't worth having as 'friends' anyway. Your true friends who know you will still be there.

It's also interesting that he's totally ignored all the conversations he's had with the Council and gone straight for the big property. Obviously wanting to maximise profits to dig himself out of a financial hole.

He may go to appeal, or he may try to go for a new application for a smaller property. Either way, just be alert and we'll deal with either of them when they arise. Hopefully, though, he may be in such a financial pickle that it's all academic and the place will be repossessed before any of his options have come to a conclusion.

Also, if both local councillors are of the same political persuasion, I bet the one on the planning committee has already spoken to the other and he'll get short shrift there as well.

Hugs - keep your chin up, hold your head up high. You have done nothing wrong.
