ESA OVERPAYMENT help urgent!

I'm less sure. Certainly there have been comments about the overpayment not being sorted out yet. And the first post did say paying back £22, rather than having entitlement reduced.marliepanda wrote: »Missapril the OP has mentioned a couple of times that they DO realise this is a 'current' dedication for current funds, and the overpayment hasn't been taken into consideration yet.
But the use of the word 'already' in reference to deducting the money suggests it was jumping the gun, hence my comment that not deducting it would just allow the overpayment to continue.0 -

MissApril, here I feel its clearer. I do not understand the use of the word 'hence' however as it doesn't make sense. I'm assuming (maybe generously) that the 'hence the funds in the bank now' means 'taking into consideration the savings he has now.'
Yes the use of already implies jumping the gun, but I feel the OP feels ANY deduction is wrong, regardless.0 -
With any benefits in my view declare everything in the first place even if you think it does not need to be declared. At the end off the day you are not the dwp and they at the end of the day they will advise. It's not difficult.0

It has to go off to a decision maker who have a backlog of cases to have the overpayment calculated and to see if they deem it recoverable or not, i.e. has there been any DWP error involved.
Its just the way the system works.
As long as they have all the bank statements it will be calculated fairly quickly.
The compliance officer has to say a few months as that is worst case scenario.0 -
I'd still like to know who went with him to the Compliance Interview?0

I'm elderly myself and live on my own and I'm in my 70's
Il ask some one from the local council to help him
And yet he went to CAB with a relative so he clearly has got someone else to help him.
Personally, I think he would be better off if you didn't help him. I can just imagine the reaction from the DWP staff if you go in all guns blazing with the same hysterical and rude attitude you have displayed on this thread!0 -
Andy's back then..Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0

It appears the same question along with the same misleading claims about the letter has been posted on at least one other forum.Metranil_Vavin wrote: »Andy's back then..
I would hope that 'Andy' doesn't do this stuff on multiple forums.0 -
