Yeah they really do. She was with hubby before I met him and then she moved in with us when we bought the house. She was my first cat. Such a sweet girl

So sorry to hear about your cat, mrsp, it's so sad when you have to lose a member of the family.

Well the in-laws' visit didn't hit me too hard - 1 lb on - my scales were showing 3 lbs on Tuesday morning (and 1lb today, so I thought they were wrong until I went to WI!) so I've managed to pull it back quite well with a couple of super-low syn SP days. I'm really glad I didn't gain back all of last week's lovely loss!

I've got friends visiting tomorrow for lunch to see my new house (they last saw it before it was totally gutted and renovated), but have a lemon drizzle cake in the oven now and we're going to have chicken, new potatoes and salad, so I can do it all SW style.

    Today's food:

Post Weigh-in: Iceland meatballs, cherry tomatoes
Post Weigh-in brunch: Bacon, eggs, beans, tomato, mushrooms.
Dinner: Chili con carne and rice
    HEA: Milk
    HEB: Hifi bars
    Snacks: Apple x 2, pear x 2, satsuma x 2
Syns: Bag of pufts (3.5 syns), chili (1.5 syns), lemon drizzle cake (well, I've got to test it :rotfl: ) (2 syns)
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

I think I'm going crazy. I could have sworn I reported in after weigh in earlier this week but I cannot find it. I can remember typing it . Wouldn't care it was a good old rant too. Well the results of weighing in showed a massive 6.5 gain :eek::eek::eek:. Considering I had been on plan all week I was totally devastated. Fast forward to next morning ... lightbulb moment - guess who hadn't taken medication the previous day :doh::doh:. Would never have guessed that missing my little water pills would make that much difference for a day. Been checking each morning (which I don't normally do I hasten to add) and the numbers are starting to come back down thank goodness. This meant that the previous week I only had 0.5lb to keep within bottom end of target and ended up this week 1lb over target. I wasn't a happy bunny but felt very relieved when I had a reason for the gain.

Having a busy week this week and not getting online till late and to be honest I'm just so tired by then to post.

Freezing weather here :(:(:(. So wanting to wear my new summer clothes but still in jumpers etc.

Well done to all the losers among us and hugs to all the people who are struggling.

Will try to get to you all later.

Also goes to show BEG how easily something can affect your weight and the number that shows on the scales that day!

You'll get a loss next week Beanie! You'll see.

Hugs to you MrsP the loss of a well loved pet is an extremely sad time. Take care of yourself right now.

So joined my new group last night. Enjoyed it, its a newish group so not cliquey and lots of members around my age. They made me feel very welcome, this is my 4th SW group I've been to now and I def rated it above the rest.

Set my final target and everything, I no exactly where I want to be this time. Trying to focus on getting lots and lots of speed in this week. The speed foods section in my food diary needs to be bulging I've been told.............to hand in next week.

    Sun still shining here.

B: Oats, Banana, Raspberries & Hea Almond Milk

    L: not sure yet

D: Beef stirfry with noodles - loads of veg

Snacks: Light & free yogurt, peach, watermelon

Can't wait to get this pesky interview out of the way and then I can forget about it one way or the other. Got to wait until the 13th its been dragging on forever now.

Face has broken out, that's what I get for eating rubbish all week before joining class- awh well I'm back now.

Sorry to read about Skip mrsp - been there, it's a very sad thing. But it sounds like you did exactly the right thing for her.

Having a mixed week here, and not expecting much from Monday's WI. Hugs to everyone struggling.

Thinking about the various comments about how eating is linked to our emotions, it's so true. In my case, I think it's a permission/reward thing, rather than about the pleasure of eating itself. This bad thing has happened, so I will give myself permission to do this other bad thing, or reward myself with it. But then of course, the other bad thing makes me feel even worse. Cue vicious circle. Nonsensical psychology!

Why don't we reward ourselves with something positive and healthy (of mind and body!) A walk in the park, a good read, even some extra healthy food. Where is the sense in a reward that harms us? Answers on a postcard! x

Good news about your new group lantanna. I'm really hoping a change of group will work for you and lois too. I agree that for most people the support of a group really helps but that presupposes that the group will be a good one!

Sorry you had that nasty shock beg but it does help us realise just how much water retention can affect the numbers on the scales (albeit temporarily).

Same here with the cold weather. It's picking up but still in jeans and long sleeves most of the time.

I've yet to do my mealplan and shop so not sure of today's menu. It's about 10 days until we go away so need to make sure I have plenty of Speed but make sure I don't have fresh stuff left over. I've had my SW breakfast (fried eggs on HEB) and will update later.

    Good morning everyone,

Goodness you have been busy bees. I wanted to offer my sympathies to you Mrsp, it's always a sad time when you lose a beloved pet. I have always "talked" to my dogs, and when they are not there you end up talking to yourself for a while.

I am firmly back on the horse, and I hope and pray that I have a loss this week. I am back at the swimming pool this week so I'm hoping this will help.

    Have a good day everyone

    Arkers x
