Interesting about the finding cash to pay for classes. When I was at my group a couple of weeks ago I noticed they now have a machine for processing card payments whereas people used to write cheques before. Do other groups accept card payments?

maman ; my group does. I actually paid by card last week when I got the mag and two books as well as paying my class fee. I'm hesitant to pay by card every week though as I don't know what fees the consultant has to pay on the transactions as I do think she's worth the money so don't want any more of my fee deducted than already is...I that makes sense? that said I will pay by card for my countdown as I don't fancy carrying that much cash to group!

Knackered today, it would make sense that they have card processers I think for convenience. And then if they are going to do that then they will always upsell in the shop if people have that option.

When my sister and I used to go together we took in in turns to buy the Hi Fi Bars and magazines so you got a week off as such.

Making some salmon linguine tonight with the salmon currently defrosting in the fridge. Really got to get a grip and get through this stuff. Its insane!

Mine doesn't accept card hence having to take a detour past an ATM unless I'm organised and do it over the weekend. Then again I'm paid up until the end of August now so it doesn't make much difference

    Hi everyone,

I've just found this group on here and thought I would introduce myself.

I've been doing SW for 8 weeks now and have lost 1 stone 6.5 lbs (fingers crossed the 0.5 comes off next week!)

It will be good to see everyone's tips and menu ideas as I seem to end up having the same thing all the time and it's a bit boring to be honest!

Hi all. Been away from the thread for a while (I had something like 20 pages to catch up on  ) because of computer issues...I have now bitten the bullet and sent it to the shop to be mended, I'm on DH's tonight while he's off in the local woods playing with teenagers (that sounds all kinds of wrong - he is an Adult Instructor with the Army Cadets so he's off doing that tonight :D:D:D )

Week 3 of challenge I was disappointed to only lose 1/2 lb after my gain the week before but I more than made up for it last week (week 4 of challenge) with a whopping (well, for me anyway) 2.5 lbs off. I am now at the lightest I have been for at least seven years, and a grand total of 5 stone 1 lb lighter than my highest (recorded) weight of January 2011. I had to see the doctor today for the first time in about six months, and she was astounded to see how much I've lost and how much my mobility has improved. I am 2 stone 10 lbs lighter this time around...

We've had the in-laws visiting for a few days so I've been off plan since Friday - well, I say "off plan", it's been on-plan meals (except for the giant curry last night, which was gorgeous) but super-excess amounts of salted caramel tart, pecan and walnut cheesecake and gin. I am not commenting on how much gin we drank, but we got through 9 litres of tonic  :rotfl:. Back on it today with two SP days before WI to try to minimise losses.

Hopefully my computer will be mended in a couple of days, if not, I shall wait for DH to be off out cadetting on Thursday night to get back on again!
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

Welcome rlc and congrats on your loss so far :T

Bit of a weird day today food-wise

Didn't wake up till 10am (lie in - bliss!) so didn't have breakfast until 12 which was porridge, 2 syns of honey and an apple. Followed by 2 cups of coffee and a slice of marmite on toast around 3pm. Tea was a bizarre concoction of tuna mixed with light mayonnaise. SW chips and 2 tomatoes chopped up. Followed by strawbs and choc shot for pud.

Not a lot of speedy stuff today, well not a lot of food to be honest. In desperate need of a shop, thankfully we have a Mr T online shop coming tomorrow. Still plenty of muscle food meats in the freezer so it's going to be a cheap-ish week I think.

Day off tomorrow, we are dog sitting as well as checking up on the cats that we're looking after. Tomorrow is the first day that I'll have weighed myself since starting SW again last week. I'll not take part in this current challenge though, hoping to get my head back in the game in time for the next one, need to get some losses under my belt first I think!

    Morning all,

spent a lot of last night feeling less than my best so naturally littlie had a tough night too :( then this morning couldn't find my house keys after OH left to take her down to my parents...tipped the house upside down then finally give in and call my family to ask them to check her bag and yep she's smuggled them out with her :( so I had to rake through the kitchen drawer to find all the spares! And now I have a crippling headache starting :(

    finally at work though.

Breakfast: 1 syn mocha (no milk this time) plus strawberries and grapes
    mid morning: banana
lunch: 2 hard boiled eggs, aldi chicken cupshotz (free), mango chunks, apple
mid afternoon: benefit light bar (half heb)
tea: chicken salad (spinach, new potatoes, tomatoes, cucumber, beetroot, green pepper, pickled onion)

leaves me with 1/2 heb, hea and 14 syns to play with. I have a pack of space raiders in one of my boxes (we've packed up the office as we're moving offices next week) in case a need a munch on something savoury later (3syn) and I might chuck 1tbsp of crispy onion on my salad for 2syn
