hello, I would like to join you all again if that is ok, after a year or so of not bothering. The catalyst was having a bunch of photos of a get together and realising I didn't want to post any of the photos of me on fb. There are a few other reasons too.

If anyone has ideas for party foods or cake, that would be great as I'm having a little party at the weekend for OH birthday.

Abbafan ~~. Just remember it is two of the light Hifi bars but only one if they are not light.
    (Love Abba too. :). )

Thanks, yes they were both 3 syns bars (I know the salted caramel ones are 6 syns, I've made that mistake before!).

    Morning,

    Welcome Hostie.

Branflakes and banana here for breakfast again. Lunch is leftover Carbonara from last night with salad and for dinner I've left Bolognese out of the freezer and will have with salad and a few sw chips.

    Morning all :)

Well, pie night went well and no pies were consumed by me, although I did sample a few chips for quality control purposes. ;)

Welcome back hostie - photos are often the catalyst for losing weight. Good luck with your journey, feel free to chat and ask any questions.

Matron Midge - I like the sound of the salt and pepper chicken too - might give that a go. Is it a tweak to use Smash as breadcrumbs though?

Not that I'm against tweaks per se - I used to make couscous cake years ago and using couscous in place of flour is now considered to be a tweak (or food abuse as they used to call it :rotfl:) and I still managed to lose weight. I don't bother so much with SW cakes and puddings now, I try to avoid artificial sweeteners.

I watched Lose Weight for Love last night and it's interesting to hear the psychology behind weight gain/loss, there really is much more to it than overeating. The man would bring loads of chocolate home to cheer her up and they described him as her 'dealer', peddling calories for a quick fix.

    Todays menu:
    B: melon and yogurt
L: scrambled egg, plum tomatoes, toast (HEB) (syns for spread)
D: pork chops, chantenay carrots, broccoli, mash, gravy (syns for gravy)

I just tried to look up syns for Flora light and the SW website isn't returning any results no matter what I type in, I think there might be a problem with syns online. I quite like having access to the website - I may reconsider going to a different class so I can continue it.

Have a good day everyone, hope the weather is good in other parts of the country too.

LoisLane flora light is 3.5 per 25g or 2 per level tablespoon :)

weigh day for me but I'm not feeling 100% so I'm eating because I have to when I can manage it:

breakfast: HeB wheatabix with Milk from HeA
lunch: aldi cup shot chicken flavour which is free

will take some syns to group space raiders (3) and a jumbo caramel snack a jack (2.5)

very late tea after group so I'll just have eggs and ham with spring onion chopped through it

:T to midge and rebster! We like losses!:D

Good luck for tonight lush. Sorry to hear you're not feeling too good.:)

:wave:hostie, good to see you back. I don't have any cake ideas (other than to steer clear!) but there are plenty of buffet things like chicken and salads and crustless quiche and dips that you can have almost syn free.

Have a good time. Maybe if you should venture into a pub with wifi you'll think of us!;)

That's probably my main reason for still going to WI. That being said, it's really not a very good website. I hate it when it says there are more than 30 entries but no idea what they are! It seems fairly random what they choose to include even when you type in the exact name of a product.

Well done for not succumbing to any pies, a few taster chips won't do much harm.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: veggie (mushroom, tomato, spring onion) omelette with beetroot
D: chicken stir fry (mushroom, peppers, mange tout, beansprouts, spring onion, courgette and whatever else I dig out of the fridge;)) with brown rice and maybe some SW chips
Syns: honey (tbsp.) in stir fry and hot chilli sauce

DH has man flu and has taken to his bed (rolls eyes). If he doesn't feel up to dinner there might be a change of plan.

I always wonder about this *tweaking* thing...our consultant (who is to be fair very, very good) always says no tweaking yet puts up the recipes for things like weetabix muffins or biscuits...I'm pretty sure that would be tweaking the plan.
