I'm posting my meals on Instagram so that I feel like I have to do at least 1/3 speed, it's a bit more accountablility. I'll add the links on here as well in case anyone wants to catch me out :rotfl:
what's your username on instagram? I've started following a heap of SW account for inspiration and am starting to try and share my journey too - didn't tell a soul I was following SW back in 2012 when I first lost weight but I think I need the accountability like you say plus I love how much support everyone gives each other on there!************************************

Love the picture of your lunch shala.:) Why is it everyone else's meals look like something off Master Chef but mine just looks like a pile of ....food!
Meal plan and shop done. I've had my lunch (JP with cottage cheese and pickles) dinner will be baked haddock, new potatoes, various green veg and wine syns!:j0 -
Am I right in reading this as the first loss of the next challenge? just want to check so I don't do something wrong - i'm easily confused :rotfl:
Hi Shala - I think it would be cheeky of me to put this loss in the new challenge as it doesn't start officially until Monday! So I'll start afresh then at my new weight and hope for a similar result next time, although beginners luck has helped me along so far I think! X0 -
Hi All, don't know if you remember me!
I've slinked back to this thread as I did to my SW group on Tuesday, I honestly didn't think I could face them again, I even tried joining WW but the group I tried to join didn't exist. Since I'd already done my pre weight loss start of eating a whole dominos pizza and drinking 4 pints of water, I wasn't for going again another day. So I went back to SW!
Good job, I didn't get WW, said I could have 49 points, 8 slices of pizza or five snickers, I don't think I'd have lost much.
So back in the saddle, if it isn't too late can I got for
20lbs please0 -
Hello all.
Starting small as I want to try for a few easy victories (Ha...easy).
I'm going to try for 5lb.
My first mini goal will be 3lb - 10% of what I want to lose by the end of this year.
My issue's going to mostly be mental - since I switched jobs in October there's a lot more food at work (bread) free lunches (bread and pastry) long days (sugar) and tired evenings (take out).
I swear Monday to Friday I could get away with not buying any foood at all - there's always cakes, biscuits, leftover buffet somewhere on the floor...
Honestly - absolutely anything in the right direction will be a good start. That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

I remember you Jock from previously. Welcome back:hello:.
Even though DH can't have wine at the moment I decided to have a couple of glasses this evening; still within syns so that's OK! I've certainly enjoyed them.

Enjoy your wine syns maman & Denise..
I've had my pizza tonight, glad I kept 2 x hebs for it else it would have been tiny!! (photo) it was really nice though.. I made the whole mix and divided it into 60g balls and froze the remainder. We can use them for wraps, pizza or buns if we need to and they are already portioned correctly.
Strawberries and quark for afters if I feel a bit peckish!

Hiya
I've just signed up for Instagram, my username is SW_Lois_Lane if anyone wants to add me. I'm still finding my way with it so be patient with me. :rotfl:
Welcome back Jock, good luck with your target. Don't be too hard on yourself, you've done the right thing by addressing the problem before it gets too far.
Welcome to Newshadow - I know the problems you face with food around constantly, I run a caravan site shop selling sweets, cakes, pasties, ice creams, bacon rolls, fish and chips... if I wasn't determined to lose weight I'd be 25 stone by now, it is possible to resist temptation, my strategy is to always keep my goal in mind and when temptation strikes I ask myself which is more important, the treat, or a good result at weigh in.
Welcome to Nessa too, a med cruise sounds lovely, a great motivator to lose weight. DH and I are thinking of going on a cruise to celebrate a big anniversary in 2018 and I'd really like to be at target by then.
gfb - love the idea of a treadmill in the office.
Just watched a programme about a group of cabbies who have been trying to lose weight and have had brilliant results. They're based near here, in Plymouth so the programme may not have been shown nationally. It was heartening to see how much difference it made to their health.
See you tomorrow, have a great bank holiday weekend.

Hi all. Lovely new accommodation here - good choice, shala!
I'm going to give the challenge a miss this time, but i'll still be doing my Monday WI - and doing my regular nosey! My head's a bit 'gone' at the moment, not sure why, chasing my tail, probably and I've bu******ed the last couple of challenges, to my shame! I am still absolutely determined to carry on from last week's (minor) success. You never know, I may be in a more focussed frame of mind after Sunday's games, lol.
Good luck all, whether you're on the roll of honour, almost there, "making progress" (where I am - just!) or just setting out on your SW journey.
And a great big thanks to shala, for putting things in black and white and making us face up to our realities.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400
