Morning all. Bought my WI forward because of a fun weekend ahead, curry tonight, big party tomorrow - wanted to know I had done well beforehand which will hopefully keep me from going too mad and ruining all my hard work

So that's 2lbs loss for me - actually it's 2 and a quarter but who's counting (me!!) but the SW system won't let me add the quarter pound :o

Brings me to exactly 1.5 stone or 21 lbs since Feb 22. I would say I've worked hard at it - as in being organised, cooking more etc - but it hasn't been hard work.....if that makes any sense?

Have a great weekend everyone!

    Good morning all,

I lost a shocking 3.5lb last night! not too bad to say I was feeling things hadn't moved. Also got Slimmer of the Week no idea how!

Spurred me on for this week. MIL now isn't coming to the caravan so I can cook the way I want to and don't have to worry about wine syns and three people sitting round me constantly munching on sweets/treats!

Plan is: SW burgers with cheese and salad (and chips for OH and littlie) on the Saturday night, going to go and buy bacon for bacon sandwiches for breakfast (sun-tues; HeB wholemeal crustless) I have flumps and treat sized chocolates to take (plan to write the syns on the wrapper) I have free fizzy pop and squash to take to drink (heA milk for cuppas) I will be more flexible around lunches as long as the weather is good as we will do plenty of walking. Going to probably take some chicken and rice plus a sauce (and veggies are in the freezer there already) for Monday tea and will think about doing a roast on the sunday (syns for roasties and Yorkshires). will expect a meal out for tea one day.

2.5lb off next week would give me my half stone shiny :)

New Me - how are you finding doing both WW and SW? I've been toying with the idea of signing up to WW as well. I'm happy with my SW losses but like many have said, I'm not really happy with how they promote unlimited food. I think the harder limits set by WW might help me mentally. There's a big cashback offer at the moment which would only make it about a fiver for three months online membership. Tempting!

I'm not really doing both, I'm trying to move from SW to WW because I prefer the meeting format. I'm not sure I'm following either properly at the moment :(

I do feel I get less food on WW, but I'm not sure why as fruit/veg tends to be zero points anyway. Possibly fewer points left for treats. Others at the meeting seem to prefer the hard limit of counting points, almost no one does "no count". It does affect your choices of food, e.g. chicken seems to point lower than other meats (2pts per med breast) and they are all sick of eating chicken. I'm still of the SW mentality that lean protein is all free :D

Their app and online info is very confusing, I couldn't figure out the other day if a sirloin steak was 5 or 7 points. Put me off eating it and I ended up not enjoying it at all. This is really why I went to SW instead of WW in January as I can get obsessed with points, especially if I don't know how many points an item is. I was planning on doing the no-count plan, but its not working for me at all. I'm in no mans land now :(

I do find their emphasis on activity points to be useful in tracking exercise.

:T to morello and lush on your losses and anyone I missed from yesterday.

Sounds like you've got a great plan sorted for the weekend lush. Have a great time in the caravan and I hope the sun shines on you.

Enjoy your alcohol syns tonight lantanna. You're definitely giving your all to your fitness programme.:T

    Hope you're OK today shala?:)

I need to do my meal plan for the week (which starts on a Friday for me). Two meals out coming up this week so need to be extra careful when at home. I've had my SW breakfast (2 boiled eggs and HEB toast) and will report back later wit other meals.:)
  • Lovely new thread and I love the title :)

I'm going to go for a 10 lb target for the 8 weeks...not sure why but my difference on the class is different from my weight in the challenge we've been doing I must have messed up somewhere...on my class scales I'm 6.5 lb down.

I'm hoping to lose more in the next challenge as I'll be more active...currently sitting on my bum for nearly 8 hours a day with the odd flurry of exercise. But hubby is bringing in a treadmill to work from next week - I have a good bit of downtime at work as I answer the phone and take people's money and arrange appointments (DH is an osteopath and I run his office) I do have lots of time just to get up and walk...I was thinking even if I walk 10 or 15 minutes each hour I'd end up with much, much more exercise...best laid plans lol

Can I ask if anyone has used the 0% creme fraiche in cooking? I wonder if it would split? I make this lovely pasta sauce with red onions, cherry tomatoes, chicken ans sweet chilli sauce - all cooked down till it's nice and saucy and then I would normally add a big dollop of creme fraiche. I'm hoping to make this for a family meal tomorrow night and I was wondering how the 0% held up in hot food. (Or failing that are any of the philadephias HEa?)

Thanks Maman, Denise, BEG, and the rational part of me knows that everything you said is true about not losing every week :D its just getting my irrational self to acknowledge it :p but thanks for the help, you lot are sooo kind!

OH got SOTW and SOTM last night, so I feel bad for not being there and supporting him, but I did make a nice tea instead :rotfl: it was SW friendly Maman but pudding wasn't so much :o

Congrats on your shiney Emmylou :T:T and well done to other losers, great loss Lush enjoy your weekend away.

Tete - I make it 3lbs loss on the challenge.. so you did better than you thought(unless I've messed up somewhere)! Thanks to the link for the soup again, I wanted to try it and forgot so i'll definitely make some this weekend.

Ohhh Nessa, so jealous, I really want to go on a cruise.. you'll have to tell us all about it when you get back!

Lovely new thread and I love the title :)

I was a little unsure whether to post this title as we're all already stunners [obvs] but it's a bit of a laugh isn't it.. hope it's not offended anyone, you never know these days with the permanently offended that seem to pop up on the internet everywhere..

So onto my menu for today so i'll stop blathering, going old skool with a red day so 2 heas and 2 hebs
    B - apple, yogurt (0.5)
    L - peppered beef, corn thins (2) 2 laughing cow(0.5hea) salad, beetroot(photo)
T - SW pizza (dough (2 x heb) turkey, cheese (hea) peppers, onions, tom puree), salad
S - strawberries, pop corners (4.5) ham chunks, 2 sneaky pieces of beetroot before lunch, milk (0.5hea)

I'm posting my meals on Instagram so that I feel like I have to do at least 1/3 speed, it's a bit more accountablility. I'll add the links on here as well in case anyone wants to catch me out :rotfl:
