You'll be fine. Just stick to plan whenever you can and enjoy it when you can't.
or you could jus have a few extra HEXs which is the official SW line.
It won't be just that one meal shala. By having weekly meetings SW raise the expectations that if you stay on plan there will be weekly losses. I'm not knocking that because I find it much more manageable to do a weekly meal plan, syn bank. shop etc. BUT (big BUT) not everyone loses a regular weekly amount. What I 100% believe is that if you stick to plan the losses will come...but not always on a weekly basis. I'm going to make sure I look carefully at your menus just in case but I think it's just that your losses don't follow a regular pattern. Onwards and upwards and I hope it's a SW tea you're cooking!
I tend to agree with you maman that if you stick to plan the losses will come but not necessarily on a weekly basis. I have had many weeks over the last two years where I have had a STS or even gain when I have stuck to plan but usually I was rewarded the following week or even the week after that.

Hi everyone
I'm going the Chinese tomorrow, what is the best to order that is low in Syns.
Thanks.0 -
Thanks for the shiny new thread Shala :T Can I have 6lbs for the new challenge? It's a little low but I think I'm about to go into a slow loss cycle (long term graphs are SO helpful at figuring out why you appear to be stuck) and don't want to stress about it.
New Me - how are you finding doing both WW and SW? I've been toying with the idea of signing up to WW as well. I'm happy with my SW losses but like many have said, I'm not really happy with how they promote unlimited food. I think the harder limits set by WW might help me mentally. There's a big cashback offer at the moment which would only make it about a fiver for three months online membership. Tempting!0 -
Thanks for the new thread shala
Can you set my target to 7lbs please
That would get me 2 stone award, into the next stone bracket, and 1lb below the weight I've initially set as my target. And all just in time for my summer holiday
Agree with those saying losses don't necessarily come every week. My weight loss is very up and down on a weekly basis, but clearly going down if I look at it over a longer period of time.
Also agree with the frustrations around the so called "unlimited" foods on SW - and I think the problem even applies to saying you can eat unlimited speed food. A big part of the reason I'm overweight to begin with is I have a tendency to eat out of stress and eat for comfort, and I'm not very good at stopping eating when I'm full. When I started SW, the foods I was eating changed, but the habits didn't change. To start with I did lose weight - eating excessive speed/free foods still had less calories than eating excessive chocolate. But after losing about a stone I seemed to hit a brick wall. I figured out that the problem wasn't what I was eating, but why I was eating, and put a lot of effort into changing those bad eating habits, and so far it seems to be working0 -
My bookmark never brings me to the first unread post, only to the last one I read......anyone know how to solve that?0

Hi all! Thanks for the shiny new thread.
Well I lost 1lb this week and got my 2 1/2 stone shiny! Am very pleased with that, it's been slow going (I rejoined on 25 June so it's taken me 10 months) but I know the plan works if I stick to it so stick to it I shall (well, most of the time :rotfl: ).
I had planned to have fish, chips and curry sauce (from the chippy) tonight, after my module assessment at college, but due to "technical difficulties" it's been postponed until next week, so I've postponed the fish and chips too. That was difficult as it's all I was thinking about for the past 36 hours! It also meant I didn't get to eat dinner until 10 pm as I waited until DH had finished at Army Cadets so we could eat together.
Today's food:
Breakfast (post weigh-in): Breakfast muffins
Lunch: Tuna pasta salad, apple, pear, satsumas
Post-work snack: Carrots, (Iceland) meatballs, cherry tomatoes, lemon drizzle cake (6 syns)
Dinner: Lemon & pepper chicken (1 syn), jersey royal potatoes (with 2 1/2 syns proper butter), carrots, green beans
HEA: Milk
HEB: Hifi barsWe may not have it all together, but together we have it all

Wow Emmylou that's will power!
Lisa Riley looks fab doesn't she? It always amazes me how much younger people look when they lose weight.
I know I've posted about this before (because I'm obsessed) but since Lush was asking about soup - this SW Italian chicken and tomato one is delish! I'm making some for lunch today in fact.

Final weigh in of this ill-fated challenge and it's a 1lb loss please Shala. Takes me to 11st 13 and a grand total of about 2lbs lost over the whole challenge :wall:
Will be having a Chinese tonight whilst I watch the football, and possibly a chocolate bar too, then back on it tomorrow. I've realised I only need to lose another 3lbs for my Club 10 so that's a bit of a motivator.
Saint Chris, TBH if I'm having a takeaway then I have a takeaway and don't worry about Syns, but I believe things in oyster sauce and blackbean sauce are the best options.
Today:
B - Apple and yoghurt
D - Italian Chicken and tomato soup - have I mentioned how nice it is?!
T - Chinese, prob chow mein with crispy noodles and prawn crackers
Oh, and I did Clubbercise last night and it was so much fun, but OMG am I aching from the squats and punches this morning
Happy Friday all :beer:Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Morning all; It's nearly the weekend - hadn't realised it was a bank holiday until after we'd booked the car in for MOT tomorrow so won't be getting away in the motorhome.
Sticking to EE all over the weekend, I think, although need to do my menu plan for next week:
B - baked beans on toast
L - LO beef stew, mashed sweet potatoes
D - HB chilli & ginger salmon; boiled potatoes; cabbage & peas - 1.5 syns
Will be snacking on fruit & quark
HEA - milk as usual
HEB - bread
Syns - stem ginger 1.5 syns; undecided whether to have wine or not tonight as DH isn't allowed on the tablets he's on but may still have a glass!
