    Hair sounds lovely Gingerfurball.
I'm getting mine done tomorrow night, when I lost the bulk of my weight I changed from blonde to dark.

Lois What a strange sounding prize!

Haven't got my act together this week at all, def wont be a loss for me on Friday.

I never entered the raffle. The prize was fine (usually stuff to make a meal, or just some veg) but there was always a few things in there that I know I wouldn't use. So I'd rather not enter than waste it. But I never drunk tea or coffee there, so didn't feel bad about not contributing.

I decided to have some normal (well, lactofree) cheese on my Hunter's Chicken last night as it's an A choice. I feel bloated and horrible this morning so yeah, all cheese is definitely off the menu! :rotfl:

    Today...
Breakfast - Oats and berries (B)
Lunch - Broccoli and red pepper soup (invented to empty the fridge!)
Dinner - Need to sort this, may end up being a JP if I'm still feeling rough

Might have a coffee later but for now, planning on skipping A.
  • I forgot to say that I won the raffle at our group on Saturday...it was a hamper of organic veg...cabbage, carrots, sweet potatoes and limes....I've only used the limes so far lol.

Our raffle money goes to buy the tea, coffee and bread and butter for toast.

(I always eat breakfast and lunch at work...I usually have yogurt and fruit...sometimes boiled eggs that I heat up in a cup with boiling water....lunch is either a sandwich and fruit which I make up at home and bring with me, or I pop out to a local shop and get a salad off their deli....or very rarely but sometimes leftovers)

Theres only one prize at my class and this morning I was in 2 minds whether to bother buying a ticket - there was a jar of Basics pickled onions, a bag of mixed salad, some syn free salad dressing and a bunch of limp coriander! It's a big group too, I hope the profits from the raffle go to charity...:undecided

    LL:)

I've never really thought about the raffle although I have sold tickets to help out occasionally. I rarely buy a ticket as I try to walk to group when I can so if I don't have the car then it would be a problem carrying it all home if I won. Ours is always the same: a box of fruit and vegetables that consultant gets delivered from local greengrocer. People who win often offer anything they know they won't use to others. AFAIK it's just self funding rather than a charity. We do occasionally have charity events like clothes sales but they don't interest me.

Sorry to hear the cheese upset you june. I didn't realise you were intolerant I thought you didn't like the HEA choices. What sort of things do you eat to have your RDA of calcium?

Looks like a good menu today FE and I envy you the egg and chips. What caused the STS? Any ideas?

I'm going to try to be extra good today. I'm going to have plenty of water partly because it's good for me but also to save a bit of HEA for Parmesan.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA for milk
L: LO hash with added Speed (mushrooms and mange tout)
    D: SW Spaghetti Bolognese
    Syns: none planned

Proper fed up with myself now! I have had an off plan meal twice but I didn't think it would be as bad as that. Gutted!
Onwards - well after I've finished sulking anyway.

maman, it used to be just large amounts of lactose I had an issue with. So I haven't had cow's milk in over a decade now. But I could tolerate other dairy milks and even small amounts of processed products (babybels, chocolate, etc) without any real issues. But as my diet has gotten cleaner, I've noticed symptoms creeping in with even small amounts.

As for calcium, in all honesty I'm not that concerned. There are enough other sources of it (leafy greens, tinned fish, fruits, beans, fortified foods, etc) that it's hard to not get calcium. A lunch I had the other day (tofu and pak choi) contained twice the calcium of a typical SW A choice. :)

Hello :) Thank you for the kind welcome!

I have a microwave and fridge and toaster and kettle at work. I have to eat a good breakfast or I pick all day. Just fruit doesn't cut it with me!

Can someone tell me how to make baked oats?
I did use to do the cereal with yogurt and fruit and I have no idea why I've forgotten about that :D

I think my main issue is I'm lacking flavour in my food. I need a good think about menu plans but they're hard some days! Shall post it up :)
