Hello again, had a busy few weeks and have been away and treating myself way too much. I've also drunk more alcohol in the last ten days than I had in 2016 so far I think  Haven't posted in ages but weigh-ins were as follows, please Shala:

    Fri 6th May - 1lb gain
    Fri 13th May - 5lbs gain

taking me to 12st 5lbs and meaning my original 8lb target for this challenge has now increased to a stone by default. WONDERFUL. I can feel and see it as well. :(

Only myself to blame, kicking myself for gaining the same few pounds I've already lost at least three times over. Just hoping some of it is water (or something!!) and drops off again quite quickly. I'm hoping, hoping to be going to Mexico in 20 weeks and would love to be at target for that.

    Today:
B - Cantaloupe and passion fruit with Mullerlight and Chia seeds (calling these my HEB), coffee (1/2 HEA and 2 Syns)
D - Bacon, roast toms, mushrooms, alphabetti spaghetti and four Asda Chosen by Kids mini potato and carrot waffles - any idea on the Syns for these? Based on calories they should be 1.6 each but they're mostly made up of free food? I'm calling it 3 Syns for the four?
T - Speedy spag bol with 2 Syns of grated cheese
Other: Coffee (1/2 HEA and 2 Syns), NAS Ribena, hot chocolate (2 Syns)
    TOTAL: 11 Syns

Hope everyone else is doing better than me!

This week has been a good one, lets hope i stick to it next week too. I seem to have a good week then a bad one :(

For me, this has to be a sustainable plan for life. I was told I was pre-diabetic in November so that was the "kick up the a*s*" I needed to make changes. To make it work and ensure I stick to it, I've had the occasional off-plan day/weekend but get straight back on plan during the working week. I've managed to lose 2 stone 10 lbs so far in 6 months. I've not had a gain over any week but had plenty of STS. My original target was 3 stone but I'll just continue and see where I plateau. I don't go to a group so this thread is my virtual group. I don't post much but do read every day. I'm not saying this will work for you as can only give my experience. Having said that, I've lost weight twice before and then managed to put it back on. This time I'm really hoping to maintain. Third time lucky :D

Wi with .8lb loss :T not a lot but very pleased as its a loss. Swapped pasta for rice this week and feel so much better for it. Have discovered Tilda lime and coriander rice pouches (syns anyone please? ) which taste like hint of lime Doritos :j 1 pouch does 3 meals for my lunch along with toms, cue and 4 king prawns :D. Big on portion control at the moment.
Hope the weather warms up soon though, heating is back on again :p
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
    Keep the Faith All

It's 2 syns for the pouch tie so next to nothing for each lunch.
I've had another off plan meal today: spaghetti with prawns but dripping with garlic butter.
Definitely going to do better tomorrow HB steak on the menu.
Last match of the season means last fun size Crunchie until August!
Well done on getting to the playoff finals greentiger.

Did my meal plan and even planned lunches this week!

Breakfast - Porridge with fruit and latte (A/B)
Lunch - Sweet potato, beans and salad
Dinner - Fish, rice and veggies (was from Friday, need to use)

I'm thinking about ditching my A choice as I realised I'm having a daily latte because I need to use my milk, not because I necessarily want it. Any potential concerns doing this, apart from lack of calcium? I didn't use milk prior to SW, so I'm used to getting it from other sources anyway.

They are 1 syn each Tete.

Good luck with getting back on track - you can do it, like Beanie says, keep plodding.

    Morning all

Lovely and sunny here this morning, but a bit chilly. We're going out for lunch with friends today, to a restaurant of their choice, so no idea what the options are going to be. Hopefully there will be some healthy choices so I don't break my good record for the week. (Still going for a 2.5lb loss on Tuesday.)

It took real effort not to have naughty treats while Eurovision was on last night - it's become a (bad) habit over the years but I was determined not to go down that route last night. Watching it at all has become a bad habit, and I did spend some time wondering what the fascination is last night, especially as DH spent most of the programme dozing off so I might as well have been on my own. It did get exciting at the end with the voting though.

June - calcium is important, particularly for women as we are prone to osteoporosis later in life. You can get calcium from sources other than milk, but as it's part of your daily allowance and you're not having cheese instead, I would carry on having the latte.

I'm happy enough with that approach, interestingly I've not been as hungry this week as I've not done as much exercise. They say its 80 - 90 % nutrition and the rest exercise and I think that sounds about right.

I agree with that too Lantanna - exercise on it's own doesn't help with weight loss, it has to be combined with diet. From my own experience I know that exercising does help shift the pounds as I lost it much quicker last time, but it's not necessary, I do very little exercise and I'm losing weight albeit slowly.

Those sheets are too small though, hope the diaries are easier to write in!

The diaries aren't very big Shala - I had a quick look last week when I was queuing to weigh in and decided it wouldn't be for me, I'll stick to my doodle diary.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend everyone.

Shala - I really laughed at you thinking I meant pasty when I wrote pastis! Pasty & water would definitely mean soggy pastry!

Had G&T in the end and then DH found some wine in the motorhome wine cupboard! so ended up with wine as well. Lots of syns used yesterday as had a mini baguette with butter for lunch along with the chicken salad.

    Today's plan is:

B - bacon, egg, beans, tomatoes & mushrooms
L - roasted pointy pepper with grilled halloumi (6 syns); salad
D - pulled pork in BBQ sauce (from freezer) in HEB thin; boiled new potatoes & more salad.

HEA will be milk in tea as usual.

I thought they were essential until we had a SW area manager covering one week and she said that although they were healthy they were also extras so not essential for the plan. So I'd say that if you're getting calcium through other foods then you needn't drink the milk for the sake of it. Calcium rich food are all marked with C in the books. What does interest me though is that a HEX is worth about 6 syns so does that mean you gain them if you go without?;)

I'm hoping for a good week. Today will be a bit heavy on syns but then I'm hoping to work towards Thursday WI and be almost syn free. That's the way I plan most weeks but RL seriously got in the way.

I watched most of Eurovision too lois although not sure why??? Usually I only watch the results but as we ate earlier there was time to see more of it than planned. The new way of doing results was interesting but seemed a bit random. I think next year I'm going to plan to do something else.:)

HB is cooking at the moment and then when I get back from football all I have to do is thicken it and roast the (already prepped) potatoes and do other veg. I'm not sure about lunch as I might go into the city early and have something there.

    Today's EE plan:
B:NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
    L: JP or salad?
D: HB steaks with roast potatoes and parsnips, carrots, broccoli, cauli
Syns: fun size Crunchie and weekend wine:D.
