June - your menu looks great to me, however I can't remember if Tofu is free. If it is, you're fine.

Plain tofu is free, at least on EE. Not bothered about the extra HEs again today so not too worried if it's not on green. I would assume so though, as it's essentially just beans.

I rejoined yesterday and have 1 1/2 st to lose.
I am abit confused though as its now speed food, protein and fibre?

I know I need to have 1/3 plate speed food but baked beans, mushy peas are now protein?

Also pineapple, grapes, bananas, mango, kiwi and blueberries are not speed, these are the fruits I'd eat :(

Looks like I'm going to be looking a lot of things up and asking questions, sorry

    Jelly babies! That is all!

How funny would that be! :D but no, ours is in the Midlands so I don't think it's the same.. Shame..

Welcome to the board donzt and welcome back applepad  ask any questions you need to, it's always good for us to get a refresher too! SW have just cracked down a bit on things that are high in natural sugars, which is why there's change..

No plan for us set up today  I didn't get round to doing a meal plan for the week as we ended up tidying the garden and then I was too knackered :rotfl: abs are killing this morning so at least I've done a good workout :D

The recipe is in the most recent magazine, but it's actually very simple - mince cooked with green pepper, onion and a sachet of Old El Paso taco spice mix (or make your own), a jacket potato per person, a can of refried beans warmed through in the microwave, a salsa of chopped tomato, onion, chilli and fresh coriander, shredded iceberg lettuce and natural yogurt. I plated up the potato and mince and we helped ourselves to the other bits (apart from the refried beans which are still in the cupboard for next time!).

No problem, ask as many questions as you like:). I've started to look at peas and beans in a different light since the protein was highlighted. If you think of a traditional meal then it could be a third potatoes, a third speed and a third made up of meat and other protein. I find it very mse to have a small portion of meat and then up the protein with some peas or beans.

Thanks for the tips on baking trays and Frylight. I'll take a look in the £ shop and see what they have to offer. june, I do keep a bag of oven chips in the freezer mainly for DH when he's feeding himself. At the moment it's McCain rustic chips but they're quite expensive for regular use. What brand do you use?

We're off to the pub to watch football and we'll have lunch there. I'll probably choose a roast which is OK but as it's such a sunny day I might be tempted by steak and salad which is even better. Will report back later.:)

I had a derailed day yesterday, meaning I didnt get my walk, so I set out thos morning full of vim and vigour - and now I just want to go back to sleep :rotfl:

Brunch was my reward for getting to the market and to fuel me for the return trip - motivation and bribery is the key to getting me to do anything.

Brunch - Baked Potato with beans and cheese (HexA)

Dinner (TBE) - stirfry - butter nut squash noodles, broccoli(I think), mushrooms, peppers, spring onion, spinach, stir fry bag of veg.

Snacks - watermelon, blue berries, strawberries, sweetened quark.

    ETA - forgot

    HexA - Cheese
    HexB - ?

Syns - to be finalised, but milk in tea, and I'm going to add a couple for the cheese as I didn't measure it myself and it's hard to judge when it's started to melt.

Body magic - 4.86 miles (7.82km) to the market and back.
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

maman, I use the Aunt Bessie homestyle ones. Only bought when on offer of course, and probably have once a week at most. And happy now that it's getting warmer as I can cut down DH's portion and bulk it out with some salad so they'll last even longer. He thinks chips and veg together in winter "doesn't go" but will tolerate chips and salad! :rotfl:
