Amazing ! An example to us all! :T
Thanks lantanna. Very kind of you to say so.
I'd guessed you were struggling, sorry to hear that but pleased that you're back to feeling more like your normal self. Have a lovely time with your friend and I hope you find something really nice to wear.:)Haven't even managed that this week or last - STS again today. Consultant has suggested SAS log so will give it a go. I really want to lose what I put on whilst on holiday to get back into target - I'm only lb over but haven't been able to shift it yet!
Today's plan:
D - corned beef hash - 4 syns - one of DHs favourite meals.
Denise
It is surprisingly hard to shift a couple of pounds when that's all you need to lose. I'm sure you're doing everything right but maybe the SAS log will give you an extra bit of focus.
Corned beef hash is a big favourite here too. I've adapted this recipe:

using a splash of milk/water instead of cream and adding mushrooms and carrots for extra Speed then I serve it with cabbage or something else green. The hardest thing is that I prep it in advance and have to stop myself helping myself long before it goes in the oven.;)0 -

Not hopeful for any positive movement on the scales tonight

Bit light on speed today (okay barely any) but I've REALLY hurt my back
No idea what I've done, but it kills to bend down and I got down on the floor a while ago to stretch it out and struggled to get back up!
I have to work tomorrow and it's Top Bloke's birthday on Saturday so I'm going to struggle to see a doctor before Monday, hoping it'll right itself.
Walked (limped) round City Beach with Top Boy earlier trying to 'walk it off' so I've done a bit of BMHEXB toast with HEXA laughing cow on
D) SW chips with onion gravy
Unsure about tea yet. Depends what I can make I suppose!

You're quite right about losing a couple of pounds being hard! I've stuck to plan, in fact I don't think I had my full 105 syns this week!
That corned beef hash doesn't really look like the hash I do - it hasn't got any baked beans in it - not really a hash without them:rotfl:. Might try the baked one next time, see if I prefer it to the one with baked beans.
Decided to have a pudding this evening so had jelly (0.5); mixed fruit, quark & mini meringue (1 syn). Not sure what I've done to the jelly but it was a bit "tough" around the edges and didn't really taste of anything - it was supposed to be lemon!

I wondered for a couple of seconds what a milk nectarine might taste like! Doh!
Anyone’s 80th birthday deserves panna cotta, wiz. If I had one nearby, I’d join in too! Happy birthday to your good man.
Well done, debjay, beanie (not forgetting that award) and scarlet.
Oh my, lush – I feel your pain! Hope you get sorted out soon.
Oh maman, it’s so frustrating when you just get a good team together and somone comes in and breaks it up. I’ll be rooting for the Saints (sorry Tweets). That is some SW achievement, maman; well done.

Menu today looks a bit rubbish as I think I'm coming down a bug doing the rounds at work, so really not hungry. It's at least on plan rubbish though. :rotfl:
Top Girl - Bit late to reply, but the point of the third speed is to reduce the size of the "main" part of the meal. It's their way of restricting calories without seeming like that's what it is, as all speed foods (particularly the veg) are pretty low in calories. So technically you're supposed to have the third even when the ingredients are speed heavy. But when I have a veggie based dish (chilli, curry, etc) where it's a good 80% speed, I do exactly the same thing. Never done any harm.0 -
Well done Maman on maintaining target for 5 years. I wish I could say the same. However, I lost just over 4 stone in 2001 and put most of it back on. Then lost 2.5 stone in 2010 and same thing with regaining it. This time I've lost just over 3 stone so hoping to keep it off this time. I've kept my bigger clothes just in case though.
Any tips for maintaining? How flexible are your target weights? I was 12st 9lb and am now 9st 8lb. I originally wanted to get to 9st 9lb but am thinking I'd like to be anywhere between 9st 2lb and 9st 9lb. Is that what others do?0
