Hi everyone, I'm so pleased to be back after three weeks of hell.
I had my tooth removed and got a dry socket, then followed by infection and swollen glands. Ive lived on icecream
I'm on the mend now, I still have a sore throat & horrible indigestion pain, but I'm able to chew at last
Today's menu....
1 slice bread fried in frylight & 2 eggs and mushrooms.
Omlette with veg and a pear
Dinner sheppards pie and vegKindness costs nothing0 -
Hi all,
Mirry that sounds horrendous - there is no pain worse that mouth pain IMO.
WEll done to the SOTW :j
Reporting in with -2lbs please Shala, back on track sort of!!0 -
Good Morning
All I am hearing is bad reports about that sweet and sour its yuk.
Don't blame you ringing and getting your money back,
Oh no, I just bought this for my dinner tonight!
Congratulations EMMYLOU and WIZ on SOTW, great work :T:T
Welcome back Mirry, sorry you've been through the mill but glad you are on the mend at last. x0 -
Today was the first work event, food seemed relatively on plan though...
Breakfast - Weetabix with fruit, coffee (A/B)
Lunch - Gnocchi in a tomato based sauce, salad and fruit plate (small portion but maybe 3 to allow for any oil in the sauce?)
Dinner - Leftover chilli and spinach
Other syns - Brownie (8)
Tomorrow though, I have three catered meals due to more work events - breakfast and back to back lunches! Going to eat before I leave the house, as breakfast at these things is usually pastries. And I know I can get a JP at one of the lunches, so will probably skip the other. So should be able to limit the damage!
ETA: People in my group were raving about the new S&S meal. But I'd take that with a huge pinch of salt, most of the food they discuss sounds pretty disgusting to me. :rotfl:0 -
Thanks for keeping the chart, shala. Well done, Emmylou & Wiz for being SOTWs.

Thanks for the advice maman - I do need to stress less but that's just the way I am. I have got a few techniques I can use from a course I went on when I had severe anxiety.
A work colleague took me out to lunch at W3therspoons as a belated birthday present. I had a Diet Coke, the only one of the day, and the Singapore noodles as I've head people on here mention them as a good option. They were very tasty!
So far today has been good - only one Diet Coke, 5 syns, went out and did some running. Now I'm trying to figure out what to have as a post dinner dessert/snack for free or 1 syn. I really want something chocolatey, of course0 -

Hi all
Another lovely day today but not quite as busy - it was fish and chip night and we had 11 orders, which was much easier than the 50+ we did on Saturday night!
I've been keeping up with my SW group on Facebook and this week they're doing a challenge to have a minimum of 7 speed foods a day, well my tea tonight contained 7 and I'd already had 5 by then. Tea was ham with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, spring onion, beetroot, celery, cornichons and HM coleslaw followed by strawberries and yogurt.
Mirry - sorry to hear of your dental problems, there's nothing worse. Hope you're on the mend now.
MrsRyan - losing weight while on holiday is definitely a result! :T
So we've got 2 weeks left of this challenge, I only need to lose 2lbs for my target and I'm determined to do it this time. I'm also being spurred on by the thought of returning to group in September (3 weeks tomorrow).
Enjoy what's left of the evening, back tomorrow.

Well done on the weight loss orlao & all the other losers
Lois Lane, I like the idea of the 7 speed food challenge....so do I just pick Seven speed foods a day and eat them with each meal?
My hubby's taking me to aldi tonight so I can stock up there, I'm writing a big list. Last week we went and the fry light was £1.59 which I thought was good as it's over £2 in my local co op.
Any other good SW buys in Aldi?
Get this: I've ordered myself a big dry wipe board for my kitchen to write all my menu plans on. Cant believe how excited I am :rotfl:
Today's plan...
Breakfast.
Fried egg on a slice of bread (frylight)
Apple.
Lunch.
Jacket potato, salad and left over chilli con carne from last night....
I'm a bit worried if it's safe to eat as I took the mince out of the freezer yesterday morning, cooked it last night for dinner so now I will be heating it again
Dinner
Lemon sole lightly dusted fillets (syns)
Syn free chips
Mixed veg,
Lots of fruit.
300ml soya milk for teas.Kindness costs nothing0
