Cor you lot can't 'arf natter - nearly 2 pages since I posted this morning!

The restaurants you've used LL & Maman sound similar to what I've read about the one we're going to. We're not going to the O2 just for a meal (don't think my grandson would be able to sit still long enough to go to the O2, he's autistic).

Had a pleasing lb loss this morning which was more than I was expecting. DH wasn't as lucky he had a lb gain - no idea why unless it was because he didn't have enough syns! He certainly ate plenty of SW food over the week. My consultant has suggested he shouldn't have more than 15 syns anyway as he doesn't have loads to lose (thought it was good of her to even suggest anything as he doesn't attend group!).

Back to sit in the garden for a while.

I got the vax one but I got the wrong one as I wasn't paying attention :(going to have to take it back now..

I keep looking at the Dyson as its a lot lighter, would you say it's worth the extra money? I thought I'd try a cheaper one as OH pulled a face when I suggested the Dyson but the Dyson has better reviews. Don't know whether to swap it for a Dyson rather than the other vax

    Anyway back to SW :rotfl:

Done lots of walking today, twice as much as usual so hopefully I'm dehydrated enough to get a loss tonight :rotfl: I'm joking of course.

Food plan went a bit awry as I was stuck in the hospital for a bit longer than I thought and I was starving, bought a sandwich from tesco when I got out :( not a SW friendly one but we'll write it off as its weigh day.

I don't know about Vax cordless but the regular Vax I had a few years ago was terrible on everything except thick carpet which was a bit of a problem considering all but one of my rooms was hard flooring!

I was put off Dyson for years because of the cost, but so far I am absolutely convinced that it is worth the money. It works equally well on carpet, laminate and tiles. It's really quick and easy to empty, has great suction and the charge is enough for me to cover 2 of the 3 floors of my house in one go. I got the Flexi version because it actually worked out cheaper than the regular when an offer was on and it has some really useful attachments.

Feeling a bit left out of the cleaner discussion as DH does all the vacuuming around here:D He doesn't have cordless but he's tried all brands and loves Dyson most of all. He has two: one for downstairs and one for upstairs!

Have a great time denise. When I went to Adele sitting still was the last thing people did at O2 so your grandson would be fine! Well done on your loss and (if you want to) you should be fine making SW choices.

Some beautiful weather today, and I managed a short day at work to try and take advantage.

Voted this morning (the poling stations are open till 10pm, but I alway tory I’ll forget).

Then had lunch with a friend - went to a local bakery and I was very good in just having toast and ignoring all the delicious cakes.

And I’ve just plated up the salad I was going to have for lunch for dinner - with some added mozzarella to fit in my Hex’s

An unexpected but pleasant end to the day.

Hope everyone’s had chance to see/enjoy the weather as well.

Breakfast - I didn’t have time today as I was running very late after voting.

Lunch - 2 slices wholemeal toast with 2tsp butter (4 syns) - I was good and asked for the butter in a dish so I could do it myself.

Dinner - Egg Salad (was supposed to be lunch) - lettuce, red cabbage, carrot, grapes, blueberries, egg, tomatoes, hummus, mozzarella, gherkins

    HexA - mozzarella

    HexB - slices wholemeal toast

    Syns - 2tbsp humus (3syns), 2tsp butter (4 syns)

Body magic - Day off from intentional sweating today.

A negligible bit extra walking to the polling station and back, plus my usual walk to work, and wandering to the cafe and back with a friend at lunch - Maybe a mile and a half all in.
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

    Afternoon all,

its weigh day - so I will soon find out what damage the bank holiday weekend away has done :(

I'm also super congested so feeling a bit pap to be honest!

    Today: plenty of water
missed breakfast as didn't get chance to eat before an event at work
lunch was a lush salad I made last night (just about to instagram it) with a SW quarter pounder sliced up (lettuce, grated carrot, cucumber, orange pepper, cherry toms and some free cottage cheese)
    snack: flump (2syn?)
will eat fruit with quark after weigh in at group (strawberries and grapes and also have a tub of melon chunks too)

tmi moment: not eaten 100% on plan but I have managed to avoid constipation this week so haven't needed any help with that ;)

Will draw a line after tonight and get on it properly. bit skint as sent littlie's passport off today via check and send but I'm waiting on some payouts from the health insurance which will cover fuel and a salad top up. feels like it will be a long month with another 20days until payday!

To comment alongside Jocks thing about clothing for weigh in. I wear the same dress etc every week. It is one of my lighter dresses but I wear it more because its the only flattering thing I own haha and I do take off my ten tonne watch too as its heavy enough walking round wearing it without adding it to my weigh in results haha!

  • Please can I join?! I'm more of a lurker than poster but crawling out my hole to get involved in this please :)
I only downloaded the pdf versions of the SW free foods and syns yesterday so if I am scoffing anything I shouldn't be please don't hesitate to slap my wrist :D

I am 1 biscuit away from bursting out my jeans Hulk-style so please can I be put down for -6lbs?

Yesterday I started my first food diary and I ate:

Plain porridge with lots of hot water - HEB
Salad (curly kale and lettuce) with roasted sweet potatoes, plum tomatoes and roasted tofu. Realised too late that coconut oil is 6.5 syn and tofu was deep fried variety so total was 13.5 syns. Oh dear
Half a massive carrot, sweetcorn and peas all covered in garlic powder, parsley and chives.
    Tin of mackerel in brine.
    Handful of grapes.
1 X mint to combat the garlic powder! 1 syn.
    150ml pineapple juice - 1.5 syns
    2 X black coffee 3 x hot water 1 X 500ml cold water

Total 16 syns I think. I don't really like dairy hence no HEA. And planning to swap sweet potatoes for butternut squash once I get to shops over the weekend. My unrefined taste buds can't tell the difference anyway!

Blaming the fact that I was disorganised and started without having the right food bought in but learning from here and moving onwards and upwards (but not outwards! :rotfl:)
She believed she could, so she did.

Well, I'm nothing if not consistent. WI this morning and another 1lb off making 2 stone 8 lbs in total since June. I have only gained twice this year (1/2 lb on the week after my birthday, and again 2 weeks after that when I celebrated again!) so although it's slower than I would have liked, it's nice and steady and means I'm making proper changes that are likely to stick! I'm now 1 lbs away from my "lightest ever" (well not EVER ever but I don't think 6lb 8oz is achievable :rotfl: ) which is 5 stone lighter than my heaviest ever of Spring 2010.

I did treat myself to fish and chips today - when I was a kid, I used to go to the Polling Station with my mum and gran, and then we'd have fish and chips. As I grew up, we did this every election. Then it was just me and gran, and we still did it, even when I moved out of home and she moved into a care home, I'd come and get her and push her in her wheelchair to vote, and then we'd go and have fish and chips. So today, after I voted, I went for a bit of a walk and had fish and chips at the beach. And then I had a 99 because it was sunny...and because I could. Am going to try to stick to 5 syns a day for the rest of the week (except Sunday, where it'll be nearer 20 because life is too short for !!!! gravy...I make it the way my gran taught me as a little girl, in the pan with the meat juices and vegetable water).

If I'm hungry later I'll have some SW soup.
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

    2 lbs off this week.

I have a Dyson cordless I was given as a present.
    It is ok.
Wanted a Gtech as I thought would be easy to use.
