MrsP, I always make my porridge with water. The oats are quite creamy themselves, so I don't feel like I'm missing out not having milk. It's good to mix up breakfasts though, I used to do that more and feel in a bit of a rut now but I don't fancy cooked breakfasts at the moment. I've also done baked oats the night before and they're fine in the morning.

Job offer came through at lunchtime, and at a higher salary than I was expecting! Start in a few weeks. :money:

    Congratulations on the new job.

Morning all...the keema was lovely!! I added 3 large beef tomatoes and 200 g garden peas and served it with roasted cauli-rice...I've found this makes it more *ricey* as it's harder (not mushy) and had stir fried veg on the side so loads of speed. There's enough for tonight's tea too so bonus!! :)

I just went and bought myself a little stepper (exercise) from Lidl - it's hard work but I can jump on it at any time during the day to get me off my chair.

:TGood to see more losses and I think a small gain is allowed for a holiday ruby.

    Welcome hollowhead. :)

I'd say a hash brown is about 4.5 syns wiz but it depends on the size and the brand.

pippa, I'm envying you being in France (which part?) and the bread and wine (sounds quite religious;)) is my downfall when I'm there. I've done best when there's a buffet breakfast and then done much as you do by having ham and eggs and balancing them with a salad at lunchtime. Mussels are very SW friendly and I love those:drool: Even if you had one portion of fries per day you wouldn't be doing too badly. When I was getting to target I took a bag of Danish crispbreads (not sure if they're still a HEB) to have at breakfast instead of bread.

Hope you have a good time this evening denise. Are you going to the O2 as well? I've been to a few Argentinian restaurants and they generally carve all meat at the table until you put up a stop sign because you need a rest. Then there's a hot and cold buffet which has salady bits but also rice and potatoes.

You don't really want to do anything for a big weight loss in the first week as it doesn't count for SOTW and only half for SOTM. I need my stickers!

I know we've had some laughs about your antics to get stickers jock but I'm pleased you're trying to take a more 'normal' approach this time. I believe SW will only work long term if you build it into your everyday life. It won't work if you treat it as a crash diet and then revert to normal afterwards.

Thanks Denise. I need to read up more on green days. I understand red days but have never really looked at green since I don't like carbs and I know carb lovers love green days. :rotfl: I knew it didn't qualify for SP though, so just stuck with my 1 HEs. Didn't really fancy another one anyway, although maybe there's some more interesting choices on the green list.

There was quite a list of HEBs on the Green list including small portions of meat and fish. I'd say that if you don't like carbs then you're better off with Red. Green without carbs would be almost the same as SP i.e. Speed and protein like eggs and pulses. There isn't the restriction on yogurts and free foods though and, of course, the extra HEXs but that's also true of Red. Do you have an old set of books june?

Despite the lovely weather, I'm doing a beef casserole today as I've some red wine to use up and want to eat from the freezer.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, 2 fried eggs, 0.5HEB toast, bacon, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with something probably tuna and pickles
D: beef casserole (onions, celery, carrots and mushrooms) wit roast potatoes and broccoli
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, tbsp. cornflour (shared) and glass of red wine (8?) in the food!!

I love my cordless vacuum Shala. I've had it a couple of months and I (very sadly) still get a little excited using it!

    Which one have you got?

We needed a new vacuum for the shop and spent the winter considering either the Bosch or the VTec Air Ram, then saw a (corded) Vax in the Range for £99.99 and bought it! I can't clean the whole shop without relocating the plug though. :rotfl:

I originally had an AEG Ergorapido. It was quite good while it lasted but had to take it back twice for repair. Then I saw that Dyson were doing a trade in offer so I splashed out and traded it in for one of their cordless. I did think about it for a while because they are so pricey but there is absolutely no comparison between the Dyson and the AEG. I could never go back now. It has made my life so much easier!

Yes but seeing the rest of the groups sad faces as I once again am handed a small bag containing some past its best fruit is what motivates me! :D

I don't think I'm the only one, you don't see many people in jeans but you do see a lot of people in very light summer dresses.

Problem is once you do something, you have to do it every week. So I've learned my lesson. Except I'll lose the wooly jumper, it is hot in our meeting.

Well done on the job June, hopefully I can follow your lead. I was just finding out about one yesterday, but sounds quite promising, hopefully I will get an interview later in the month.

Struggling today, drinking my water and telling myself to behave.

I got the vax one but I got the wrong one as I wasn't paying attention :(going to have to take it back now..

I keep looking at the Dyson as its a lot lighter, would you say it's worth the extra money? I thought I'd try a cheaper one as OH pulled a face when I suggested the Dyson but the Dyson has better reviews. Don't know whether to swap it for a Dyson rather than the other vax

    Anyway back to SW :rotfl:

Done lots of walking today, twice as much as usual so hopefully I'm dehydrated enough to get a loss tonight :rotfl: I'm joking of course.

Food plan went a bit awry as I was stuck in the hospital for a bit longer than I thought and I was starving, bought a sandwich from tesco when I got out :( not a SW friendly one but we'll write it off as its weigh day.
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.
