Thirded - it definitely brightens up the thread.
I struggle to stick to only one HEB and have to plan breakfasts that don't include cereals if I want bread at lunchtime, and vice versa. DH likes to have cheese and crackers in the evening

Finding a B is seeming an issue for me as well - I don't like hot breakfasts in summer (I'll have a cooked breakfast for 'brunch' at the weekend), and really can't control having just a little bread 'in moderation' so avoid it for lunch. I also don't like snacking in the evening unless I'm actually hungry (which is rare - I tend to only eat twice a day).

But I do think between the lots of veg and wholemeal pasta/rice, I'm probably getting enough fibre atm and dont really intend to force specific foods in just because I'm not had a B today.

I can reevaluate in a couple of weeks if things aren't going the way I want them to - It's a whole system change that's got to be sustainable after all.
NewShadow - having rice cakes and using foods that are no longer classed as an HEB is fine as long as you continue to lose weight. If you find your weight losses aren't as good as you'd like, those are the things you'll need to change.

I agree - I've been synning them so far, and i think that's the best option for now. As you say, I can always reevaluate.
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Today was okay - I was under instruction from the boss to come in late as I've a fair bit of flexi accrued, so I diverted to the gym before work.

I have no idea why people choose to do that regularly for fun!

    Breakfast - banana

Lunch - egg salad - egg, mixed leaves, tomatoes, grapes, blueberries, 2 tbsp hummus

Snack - fruit salad - orange, melon, pineapple, grapes

Dinner - LO bolognese pasta - beef mince (4%), sw meatballs, garlic, tinned tomatoes, grated carrot, onion, sweetcorn, diced peppers, diced aubergine, mushroom, pasta, cottage cheese, quark, mozzarella, egg

Puddin' - fruit salad - orange, melon, pineapple, grapes

    HexA - mozzarella

    HexB - ?

Syns - 2tbsp humus (3syns) Considering a pack of rice crackers (13) which would push me to 16 syns... we shall see.

Body magic - 30ish mins in gym before work. :j

10 mins on the treadmill (1/2 mile) and 20 minutes on the weight machines.

    3 sets 10 reps arms - 10kg
    3 sets 10 reps shoulders - 10kg
    2 sets 10 reps leg lifts - 20kg

Followed by a shower and much complaining to my team about how much I ached for the rest of the day - Think that's the last time the boss will encourage me to come in late :rotfl:

That's great news about your job june. Congratualtions:T I'm calling it a NSV as I'm sure losing weight will have boosted your confidence to go for it.:)

Hope things work out for you too lantanna.

:T some great losses since I posted yesterday. Well done all!

wiz, it depends very much on the size of the rice cakes and the brand but I'd say 2 syns each roughly.

You're not really supposed to carry over HEXs. If I were you I'd stick to synning any extras until you get to target then you can relax a bit.

I Googled the Keema curry denise and it does look tasty. Other than using Frylight, do you tweak it at all. Any extra Speed?

Welcome lioness:wave:. What shala does is keep a chart of losses week on week. Maybe it's best if you just put your name down and then when you get your first loss you give a number of pounds you need to lose to get to 9st 10 at the same time.

It's been gloriously sunny here too. I went into the city centre and treated myself to a salade Nicoise from Pret and ate it in the sun. It's SP and free except for the little pot of vinaigrette and I only used a drizzle (mayb 2 syns).

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
    L: Salade Nicoise
    D: SW spaghetti Bolognese
    Syns: dressing, maybe Parmesan

mrsp - I probably wouldn't carry over HEs. I know some people use a syn bank and it works well for some but I don't know about the HEs.

Welcome ly0ness - lovely to have you joining in with us.

I am struggling to keep up with everyone atm but I am reading but not always managing to comment on everyones post. I am still on the SW bus here and keeping the faith ;).

Hope you are all having a fab week and lots of lovely sunshine .

I've synned the ryvita- I'm more of a rule keeper than breaker. I haven't had many syns at all this week so far so I have them spare.
    Thanks for the advice

Argh, lost my post! Will try to remember it all...

Snap! Just responded to a few different posts and lost it all!

My scales are showing me up 2.5lbs today  so definitely in for a gain unless I lose a pound a day! Will be another weigh and run I think. I looked at groups around my (hopefully) new office and there's one about 10 minutes walk away. So if this job offer comes through, I think I will switch to that. It's an early evening group though, and I've only ever gone to morning groups. So switch week should be interesting!

Good luck for the new job. I wouldn't worry too much about a change of time of group - it will only affect the first week.

Today's plan is veggie as DH isn't home, so I can use up all the bits he won't eat...
Breakfast - Weetabix, berries and latte (A/B)
Lunch - Bunless (or mushroom bun if I buy one this morning) Quorn burger with toppings (3)
Dinner - LM sausages (didn't have these yesterday) BNS and broccoli (1.5)

As you've had a veggie day (Green Day) you can have another HEA and HEB if you want to as you can have 2 of each (which is why I quite like having Green days)
I do like the sound of that Keema curry - just looked up a recipe and I think that might be for tea tonight.

    Other than that,,,
B: 2 boiled eggs and a kiwi fruit
L: ham and cheese sandwich (HE a & b) with a nice juicy pear
D: I'm thinking that yummy sounding keema curry and rice...maybe some stir fry veggies

Having inspired you I hope you enjoy the keema curry.QUOTE]

Had planned on adding some grated carrot, peppers & mushrooms but in the end only added chopped mushrooms in addition to the onions, garlic & ginger.

Dinner's going to be later than usual as I've been sitting in the garden and hadn't realised how long it needed to cook for! Just had a quick taste and it's got a bit of a kick to it!
