Although my consultant is no great shakes, she'd never criticise anyone for a gain. She always says well done for coming in and taking the hit before moving forward when many others would stay away. I'd assumed that was the official SW way of doing things as one thing my consultant doesn't do is think for herself!
We've got someone who gets nowhere but she definitely enjoys the friendship and she says she'd have gained even more without SW.0 -
Hi all
Thanks for the chart Shala and well done Orlao for SOTW. :T
I lost 1lb at class this morning.
There are a few people in my class who have been going for ages and haven't lost much. They have plenty of excuses when they've had a gain, the most common one being their social life. However, if they didn't attend, their weight could be steadily increasing instead.
We had quite a busy day in the shop yesterday and then had some work to do in a property we rent out, and by the time we'd finished, time was moving on and we were both hungry so we decided to go to the Harvester, completely forgetting it was a bank holiday! We had to wait half an hour for a table, then they'd run out of skinny chicken and skinny steak and didn't have any jacket potatoes... I ended up having a gammon steak with egg peas and fries - I had about 5 chips with the egg (I love egg and chips) and gave the rest of them to DH. I also had loads of speed salad - they had big plates at the salad bar as well as the usual small bowls, so I filled one up.
See you tomorrow.

Today was an awful slog.
I weighed this morning, so have my starting point for this challenge. Time to knuckle down and do it.
I think the first day back at work after a bank holiday just always puts me out of sorts - my brain goes into holiday mode then has to rapid reset!
But I hope everyone had some sun today. :j
Breakfast - Banana
Lunch - Ham salad - Ham, watercress, tomato, beetroot, lettuce, carrot, sweetcorn, cucumber, Fat free vinaigrette dressing (free I think?)
Dinner - LO baked bolognese pasta - beef mince (4%), sw meatballs, garlic, tinned tomatoes, grated carrot, onion, sweetcorn, diced peppers, diced aubergine, mushroom, pasta, cottage cheese, quark, mozzarella, egg
Puddin' - Fruit salad - Pineapple, orange, grapes, melon
Syns - 3 metcalfe's milk choc skinny rice cake's - 85 cals each, so I'm assuming 13 syns?
HexA - mozzarella
HexB - ? I know rice cakes can count if you're gluten free (I'm not),
I guess I've had a fair bit of fibre today with the WM pasta and fruit/veg, so I'm not going to eat something just for the sake of it.
Body magic - none  stuck in a meeting for 4 hours today. sucked the enthusiasm for exercise right out of me. Back to it tomorrow.

ETA - Quick question - Is hummus a B option?
I think it's about 50g of reduced fat, but wanted to check before I dump it on my salad for lunch tomorrow.
Thankies kindly for the confirmationThat sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Have had a look on line and can't see it anywhere as HEB. It's 1.5 syns per Tbsp; 50g would work out at 5 syns.

I thought it was syns, but it's in the B list off the first page - but I know that's from April 2014...
Everything's changed since I was a (paid) member.
Just found it in my book as 1.5 per tablespoon (as you said) - I'll just go for 2 tbsp I think.
Thankies again. That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

If you used to use it as HEB previously and it worked for you then you could just use it. It's not something I've ever used as HEB. When I have hummous I tend to make my own using a tin of chickpeas and without tahini so it's free.

I struggle with my HexB if I don't have porridge. Think I'm going to have to go and buy some ryvita so I've got something in the house. Which reminds me I need to go and eat some nuts tonight...0

NewShadow - I *think* it was a HEB on one of the old plans, but don't have my old books within reach to double check. But if you're just doing Extra Easy, it's not a B.
So far the consultant hasn't shamed anyone to their face (that I know of) but she is VERY snarky in the go round about people who gained but didn't stay to group. It's created a really negative environment, I hate staying now and it used to be my favourite time of week. But people are definitely voting with their feet, she has barely retained any of the members who were there before she took over the group. Unfortunately it's a really convenient group being on a Saturday so there's enough turnover of new members to keep her stats up.
Stayed on plan today, happy about that! Did allow myself a treat after receiving some good news (potential job - should get confirmation this week) but still within syns. :j0
