    Morning all :)

No Maypole dancing here, although there's something going on later in our local small town, not sure if they have a maypole or not.

goldfinch68 - Welcome to the thread. I have arthritis in my knees too so I know how you feel. It's very frustrating not to be able to exercise as much as I'd like to. Carrying extra weight doesn't help, so you may find yours improves when you lose some.

greentiger - sorry to hear about your laptop, presumably you'll get a replacement as its less than 12 months old? Doesn't help with lost files though. :(

Sandypan - have you joined a class or signed up online? Well done with your results so far. 2lbs a week is achievable, especially if you keep your resolve. Good luck.

The post questioning Mullerlights being free caught my eye though. Consider me one of the cynics, I think there's a few brands that have definitely paid for free status as nothing about them would qualify as healthy IMO!

When I first started SW (15 years ago!) I used to eat loads of Mullerlight, at least 2 a day, sometimes 3, but I rarely eat them now. I buy the WW dessert recipe yogurts to have after dinner, as I think they're more like a pudding than a Mullerlight, and they're smaller so less calories and less sugar. I never have more than one, I've developed a taste for natural yogurt now and often have that for breakfast with fresh fruit.

    Have a good day everyone.

My plan to achieve this is to stick to plan, filling in food diaries each day and limiting syns to 6 per day.

Syns are built into the plan so I'd suggest you have at least 10 as that would give leeway for any slip-ups. You can always cut back a bit if and when weightloss stalls. If you deprive yourself of treats too much you could get fed up.:)

So in the interest of getting back in the game here is my plan for today:

    B - 1 x hifi (half heb), activia, clementine
    S- banana, 1 x hifi (heb)
L- bacon and cannelini bean soup
    S- wotsits (4.5), Kitkat (5.5)
D - pork and black bean chili, rice, cheese (hea), light sour cream (1)
P - ff Greek yoghurt, berries, meringue (2.5)
    E - half hour swim

Need to stay away from the carrot cake testers I'm making today!

I could be wrong but that looks a bit low on Speed food (only what I've highlighted). Of course, you could have onions, mushrooms, peppers....in your chilli. Just saying;).

As it's a miserable Bank Holiday here I'm going to cheer us up with some extra syns this evening. So I'll have wine with dinner even though it's Monday:eek: and have a bit of a cheat Chinese by making SW chips to dip in hot chilli sauce and pretend we're having spring rolls. It won't be too bad as I didn't use all wine syns yesterday as was out most of the evening.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, 2 fried eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: JP with cottage cheese, spring onions and beetroot
D: chicken stir fry (mushrooms, spring onions, peppers, courgette, cabbage) with brown rice and SW chips
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, tbsp. honey (shared), tbsp. hot chilli sauce, wine syns.

    Today:

    Breakfast - strawberries

Lunch - Bacon, egg, sw chicken sausage, beans, chopped tomatoes, mushroom, wholemeal roll.

(TBE)Dinner - baked bolognese pasta - beef mince (4%), sw meatballs, garlic, tinned tomatoes, grated carrot, onion, sweetcorn, diced peppers, diced aubergine, mushroom, pasta, cottage cheese, quark, mozzarella, egg

    A - mozzarella
    B - wholemeal roll

    Body magic - 1.41 miles
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Next Step: Bathroom renovation booked for January 2021

Thanks Maman! Yeah there's passata, onions, garlic and basil in the soup and tomatoes, onions, garlic, peppers in the chili. I'm probably still a little short on speed. I find it difficult to get speed fruit in as I don't like crunchy stuff like apples.

I have eaten some cream cheese frosting so although not accurate I will swap that for the kitkat I'd planned to have!

    Hi everyone!

Had a bit of a crazy bank holiday weekend, hasn't been SW friendly at all! Thankfully a lot of dancing at a festival has been done so hopefully that'll be on my side.

Weigh in yesterday and for my final weigh in for the last challenge, I lost another -2lbs which should mean I hit my target for the last challenge.

This challenge I have three holidays booked during it  so I'm going for a realistic -7lb thanks Shala.

Hope everyone is doing ok and plodding along, I wish the weather would make it's mind up about what it wants to do, meant to be May and on Thursday morning I was scraping a thick layer of ice off my windscreen before the drive to work... Argh! Maybe shivering counts as body magic though :rotfl:

STS this week. Trying not to be too upset about it and trying not to dwell too much on why I didn't lose anything this week.
I'm just going to make more of an effort to eat more speed foods and try and get more protein as well.

    Evening all,
Lois Lane - I've rejoined a local club because I couldn't do it on my own!!! Frustrating when I have been doing SW on and off for last 15 years so pretty know what I should be having but food evils for me are bread, cheese and wine, also holidays, birthdays and Christmas! When I set my mind to it I can lose but it is sooo easy to put it all back on again!! I think I have been target half a dozen times.

Mamam - thanks for the advice about syns, the only thing I normally syn is alcohol and I'm trying to cut that right down.

    Today's food diary
Breakfast - 35g oats soaked in juice from 1 orange, grated Apple, raspberries, blueberries and 2 tbspoons quark.
Lunch - eggs scrambled in frylight, smoked salmon and 2 sliced tomatoes.
Planned dinner - SW moussaka with large mixed salad
HA 250ml milk in tea and coffee.

Think I would have to syn the freshly squeezed orange juice but not sure how many and is the grated apple ok?

Hi All, don't know if you remember me!

I've slinked back to this thread as I did to my SW group on Tuesday, I honestly didn't think I could face them again, I even tried joining WW but the group I tried to join didn't exist. Since I'd already done my pre weight loss start of eating a whole dominos pizza and drinking 4 pints of water, I wasn't for going again another day. So I went back to SW!

Good job, I didn't get WW, said I could have 49 points, 8 slices of pizza or five snickers, I don't think I'd have lost much.

So back in the saddle, if it isn't too late can I got for

    20lbs please
. Welcome back I did wonder what happened to u!

My evils are much the same too. I can manage the bread as it's easy to measure. Cheese I virtually banned when I was getting to target except for the occasional cheeseboard with an off plan meal. I save the vast majority of syns for wine at weekends with a few left over for gravy and sauces. I found it quite OK to make almost syn free meals all week.

I've relaxed things a bit now I'm at target but it really was worth the effort.

For the orange juice I wouldn't worry too much if you're cutting back on syns. It's only one orange. The problem is that you haven't had the fibre in the whole fruit.
