Hi everyone, new and old! Thanks for the new challenge Shala!

I really need to get my bum in gear with this one. I'm currently sitting at 14st 1lb (half a pound away from 3st award). It's been really slow going recently and I've only myself to blame. I'm going on holiday in the 2nd week of August and I want to be fitting in my 2 large size 12 dresses by then. I'm currently a small 16 so I anticipate I need to lose another stone and a half to be about that size. So I am going to set myself a challenging target of 16 pounds please shala! with the remaining 5lbs being lost in July.

To do this, there will be no takeaways and If I am eating out I will make sensible choices and not just say "oh it's only one meal, I'm going to enjoy myself!" It should be easier to stay away from the cakes once I am open to the public at the end of May rather than just making tester cakes for photographing. I will be continuing my current exercise regime as I have really done well with that and should be getting my gold body magic award this week. I also need to get back in the habit of posting my daily menus on here.

Sorry for the monologue everybody but I really need to draw a line for myself!

It's amazing how people's shapes differ so much. My last weigh in was 12st 12lb (4.5 stone loss) and I am still in a size 18 (gone down from around a 22 in trousers and 24 in tops). I don't think it will be long before I am a 16 though.

Had a gain of half a pound though this week! It's now the 2nd May and I go on holiday in 5 months, so want to get as close to my target weight as I can by then!

So in the interest of getting back in the game here is my plan for today:

    B - 1 x hifi (half heb), activia, clementine
    S- banana, 1 x hifi (heb)
L- bacon and cannelini bean soup
    S- wotsits (4.5), Kitkat (5.5)
D - pork and black bean chili, rice, cheese (hea), light sour cream (1)
P - ff Greek yoghurt, berries, meringue (2.5)
    E - half hour swim

Need to stay away from the carrot cake testers I'm making today!

It is strange isn't it. I'm fairly average height (5 ft 5) but I've always carried my weight quite well. I'm also very busty too so that probably accounts for some of it. It has probably hindered me in the past because it took a long time for me to realise that I was as big as I was!

Morning all, hope you've all had a good weekend and enjoying the extra day off today if you're still working!

Going with a Green day today and DH is missing cheese and we need the 2nd HEA for that!

B - porridge made with water (HEB1); strawberries, grapes, 1 tsp honey (1 syn)
L - cheese on toast (HEA1/HEB2); lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, spring onions, beetroot
D - egg, chips, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms

HEA2 will be milk throughout the day in tea

Syns (so far) honey 1 syn.

As I've still got syns left I may have some toast & butter later if feeling peckish.

Morning everyone! I used to lurk here a few years ago and suddenly thought "oh yes! MSE Slimmingworld forum, is it still going?!" and im very glad it is.
Just a quick summary of me.... two years ago my knee decided to become arthritic and from being pretty active I was reduced to limping around the park with my dog, not able to jog or even walk very well. Felt sorry for myself, ate chocolate, cakes, anything sugary. A year ago I decided to become vegetarian. Seems strange after 46 years of eating meat but I just didn't want to eat them anymore. Found myself eating a lot more calorific stuff since so need to sort that out. I've done lots of reading about the old red and green days and the extra easy and it seems that people are finding green days work better on a vegetarian diet than extra easy so i'm going to do that.
I'm walking the London Moonwalk for breast cancer in two weeks time. I decided to either feel sorry for myself and my arthritic knee and give in or do something about it so slowly, for one year, I have walked further and further and am so happy to once again be able to walk the marathon. I will never be able to run on it but its still a great feeling. Now its time to get rid of my flab! Although I am fit and ready for the walk, I work in a bakery full of lovely cakes and doughnuts..... what more do I need to say!
Looking forward to meeting people here and reading others success stories etc..

I would like to set a challenging target for the 8 weeks of 14lbs please.

My plan to achieve this is to stick to plan, filling in food diaries each day and limiting syns to 6 per day. Concentrating on a Mediterranean style diet with lots of speed food and veg plus fish, which I love. Cutting right back on the alcohol and sticking with at least 10,000 steps per day. The only issue will be 6 days in Ireland at Whitson when I normally can't resist Guiness and soda bread!! Weigh in day is Tuesday, off now to get out some old magazines for recipes and to plan a shopping list.

I'm giving the baked oats recipe a go for breakfast this morning. Currently in the oven as I type. Hope it's as tasty as everyone raves about.
Third weigh in later on and am hoping for a loss of 2lb. Although any loss will be good. I'm still waiting for the shoe to drop and my body to go "No, I've just been playing with you. No more weight loss for you."

Welcome goldfinch. Green days are no longer supported by SW so hope you still have your old books with Syn values in as they aren't always the same as they are for EE, which is all that SW support now.

I still do occasional Green days but usually when I want to have the 2nd HEA and HEB, LOL!

Good luck with your Moonwalk in a couple of week and also for your SW journey.
