Posted this on the old thread and New Me redirected me here.

Can anyone explain to me why muller lights are free but other own brand fat free yogurts have a syn value? I've got an @ldi one a muller one in my fridge and I've checked the ingredients and they're nearly identical. There's actually more fruit pur!e in the muller yogurt than the @ldi one so its not that.
    I just find it weird

The more cynical of us think they have certain brand sponsorship, hence some items being pushed more at class. Who knows though..

Hello to all the new peeps, sorry I'm on the iPad at the minute and it's hard to go through each post but welcome to the board and if you're joining the challenge then I'll get you on the chart :D

OH is the only male in our group, he hasn't the same experiences as you yet Jock! I'm sure he will after a few more weeks, he's won SOTW twice in a row now, which won't go down well if he wins again I'm sure!

Working this morning :( completely missed breakfast but OH is going to cook me a bacon, lettuce and coleslaw sarnie for lunch so I can stay on plan.

    So menu for today
    B - none
L - bacon, lettuce, coleslaw, Mayo (1)Wholemeal thin (heb), pop corners (4.5)
T - gammon pasta bake, served with salad, cheese (hea)
    S - milk (1) orange, banana

my remoska went to the electrical goods dept in the sky yesterday :( I'm looking at buying a multi-cooker to replace it. Anyone got one/have recommendations/have experience of any? There's so many out there I don't know which to choose!

    Thanks x

Hello everyone! Good to see some new faces, welcome. We're a helpful lot on here so do ask any questions you want.

The reason I stopped is I just got tired of going to the group first time around, I stuck around for three extra months trying to lose the final few pounds to a totally arbitrary target.

How did you arrive at the target jock? That's for you to decide. Some of the height/weight charts can be useful but others choose a clothes size or what looks/feels right. You can call/reset your target whenever you want. What's your plan this time?

We're off to football today, eating afterwards in the city centre and then off to celebrate the day that we won the FA Cup against MUFC 40 years ago:eek:

I've had a SW breakfast (baked beans and HEB toast) and lunch will be on plan. Dinner's likely to be a roast in Wetherspoon's so could be worse but taking the half time fun size Crunchie into account as well not the best of days. Back on plan tomorrow.

Shala, popping in my final weigh in of the previous challenge - wasn't sure which thread to post it in though! 1lb loss this week.

Have been on the go all weekend so haven't had time to read back through the posts, hope everyone is well. The post questioning Mullerlights being free caught my eye though. Consider me one of the cynics, I think there's a few brands that have definitely paid for free status as nothing about them would qualify as healthy IMO!

Being somewhat cynical myself I did wonder too. I'll probably stick to @ldi ones. I don't eat a huge amount of them anyway and I will still log them as a syn but if I'm over my 1 syn in a day then I'm not going to freak out too much over it.

Afternoon all, could I please join this months challenge as an extra motivation and source of expertise and inspiration. Rejoined SW 3 weeks ago and have already lost 6.5lbs, which I am very pleased with. I bought a 12 week count down and would like to be back at target by the end of it, this means a challenging 2lb a week target!! Is this unrealistic, I am determined once I subscribe to anything and have also cut right back on alcohol which is normally my downfall. Also bought a Fitbit and over the last 3 weeks have done 10,000 steps at least every day.

Interesting to see some of the differences in SW since last year, what's happened to super speed and also certain foods are no longer speed e.g. Pineapple, mushy peas and baked beans???

    Hi all. Waves to newcomers.

Just back from footie - very happy that Bairns finished 2nd and have a week off before play offs.

Sony think.I'll be posting much for a wee while as my 8 month old laptop has a failed hard drive grrrrrrrrr. I'll take it back to shop tomorrow. I'm not sure whether my files can be saved, doubt they'll bother to try. Reading and posting on the phone is not the best.

    Good luck all

L - sweet potato & pepper soup, 1 slice crustless WM
D - pork chop, roast potatoes, roast carrots, onions & peppers, cabbage, mashed swede, splash of gravy followed by rhubarb (rest of HEB), crème anglaise (5.5 syns for 100ml)

    HEA - milk
    HEB - as above
Syns: crème anglaise 5.5; pastis 5

WI a day early for me as I'm out tomorrow, lost 1/2 lb

Slightly disappointed it's not more, but I think I've lost inches rather than loads of weight this week. Clothes definitely looser :D

    Today was:

    Breakfast - Mango
Lunch - cold SW chicken sausages and plums
Dinner - The rest of the chicken sausages with mash and carrots

    A - Milky coffee
    B - 2 original ryvita

    Syns - 25g mozzarella (I think 4syns), 1 tbsp ketchup (1 syn)

Body magic - Walked 4.66 miles to the market and back. Return journey was carrying around 10 kg of fruit and veg.
That sounds like a classic case of premature extrapolation.

Well done on second place and good luck with the playoffs greentiger. We had a good day too.

Quite a few changes since last year sandypan. What used to be called superfree is now Speed and a few fruits taken off the list. There is a thought that if it worked before it'll work again but I think the more you have from the Speed list the better.

Wetherspoons was so packed after the game that we went to a Portuguese restaurant instead. I had piri piri chicken with s salad and fries so not too bad at all. Back on plan tomorrow with a huge stir fry on the menu. :D
