Good luck for tonight beanie. You'd get our nomination too. You're an inspiration for plodding on when it's not easy.:A

Had a couple of apples this afternoon to make up for the 'lack' of speed, although old SW advice was that if you're using your HEXA/HEXB, they don't count towards your 2/3 free food as they're 'extras', is this still the official party line does anyone know?

I don't know officially. I do remember an Area Manager standing in once that told us because they were 'extras' they were optional. It caused a bit of a stir as they're healthy but there are other ways of getting calcium and fibre so not such an issue and not a problem at all if it's occasional.

My take is that the more Speed you have the better (especially veg) and I've never understood having a third at meals and then 'filling your boots' (one of my consultant's favourite expressions) with free food in between as it upsets the total balance. I balance my Speed across the day. Generally none at breakfast and then loads later so it works out at least a third each day.

I'm loving your menu today wiz. JP with cottage cheese is my favourite filling and I adore good, old egg and chips. DH tells me he's out on Monday evening (he doesn't eat eggs) so I'm planning it already.

    Today's EE menu:
B: NAS grapefruit, HEB porage with HEA milk
L: LO hash with pickled cabbage
    D: SW spaghetti bolognese
Syns: Parmesan, maybe chocolate, squirt of syrup

I had munchies last night and ate a whole bar of chocolate (7 syns) instead of sharing it. Hope I'm better tonight.:o

Sorry guys, I have put a pound on. Bloody star week. I didn't eat as much apples this week. Now on antibiotics for sinusitis. Any tips to prevent gain on them as I don't do well when on medication. Actually, if I only lost 4lb last week, I would have lost today. My weight loss pattern is massive loss, maintain/little gain, average loss.

No idea on my lunch yet.

Dinner is the remains of the Quorn and veg tagine I made for the taster session. I will syn it as 2 as harissa paste and cooked apricots are synned. About half of it was consumed.

Putting 5 syns down for the other things I sampled at the meeting. Most of was free.

Tomorrow it's Mum's birthday so out most of the day. No idea on what I be eating.

Miserable weather here too, can't make its mind up to rain or not. Cooler than of late too, had to put my cardie on to walk the dog .

Been a funny sort of week here too! Had my eyes tested couple of weeks back and had to go back for retest as pressures high. Could only get there this week as miles away, anyway pressures still high so hospital referral! Fingers crossed its a day when I go to unit so I get a day off :D. (Is that wrong? ;))

Hubby had telephone interview on Monday, must have impressed as face to face on Wednesday. Must have REALLY impressed as he got the job!! Better shift system and more money :D, downside he won't be off in week so no relief from the taxi :(. Oh well that should stop at Christmas so something to look forward too :D.

NSV today as ordered cropped jeans from Asda and size 10 :T. OH OK I read the reviews that all said on the big side so go lower :p. Tiny bit snug on the calfs but still loose on waist :D.
After I'd ordered I popped into Tesco and they had cropped jeans reduced to £8 .

Now have 2 new pairs :o
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Good luck Beanie for Woman of the Year. As Maman said you are an inspiration when things get difficult.

Went to WI this morning and as expected (because my trousers were a bit tight!) it was a STS. Still at least it wasn't a gain but had to pay as lb over top end of target range.

Not sure whether I'll be able to get to group next week so have booked 6 weeks holiday as hoping to be flying back to France some time next week (fingers crossed). So really need to stick completely to plan this week (but won't be doing any SP days as they never seem to work for me!), just in case I do go!

    Today's EE plan is:

    B - fruit after WI
L - carrot & lentil soup; 2 slices of crustless WM with butter (4 syns)
D - butchers sausages (1 syn); mashed potatoes; brussels; roasted carrots, onions & peppers; splash of gravy (1 syn)
    S - slice of toast & butter (2 syns)

    HEA - SS milk
HEB - 3 slices of crustless WM

    Syns - sausages 1;butter 6; gravy 1

    Afternoon all,

having a bit of a low afternoon - could quite happily go home and hibernate for a week or so!

Still plodding on. Expecting a 1lb gain on the scales tonight; maybe as much as two so if I can shift that next week that would be great.

Beanie - you'd get my vote for woman of the year :)

Struggling with motivation to actually eat/drink which is rare.

    Today:
    breakfast: mullerlight
mid morning: 1 crispbake with 1 extra light laughing cow (1.5 syn plus 1/6th hea)
lunch: 1 crispbake with 1 extra light laughing cow (1.5 syn plus 1/6th hea)
mid afternoon: 6 syns in malteasers, cup of tea
going to have two hard boiled eggs now

weigh in tonight but expect results not to be on the positive side (as noted above)

back on it from tonight. lots of fruit that needs eating (melon, grapes, strawberries and pineapple) salad bits in to eat too
theres no plans/nothing to get in the way over the next week either so I should be ok if I can pick myself out of my funk

  • Well done beanie on your Woman of the Year nomination :T
and well done to your hubby TIE on job news and to you for the NSV :T :T Big hugs anyone needing them for whatever reason.

I have my most unfavourite TOTM coming up  which normally makes me want to eat like a horse but today's been a very unhungry day which is most unlike me. So today's food:

    B - coffee & detox lemon tea
    L - turkish delight ML & a banana
T - stuffed peppers with SW roasties & veg

Maybe a HEB for supper in the form of shreddies

It's been a horrible wet & windy day, I've only ventured out of the house to post my brother's birthday prezzie. Planning on a bit of a cardio workout later, it's been weeks since I jumped on my cross trainer and I still want to lose some inches for my hols

Could I please have another STS for the chart please Shala - hangs head in shame :o
To be honest I've had too much bread these past 2 weeks.

Could be that this is where I am meant to be though and my original target was 3 stone which I'm at. I did want to be nearer 9 than 10 if I'm honest and currently 9 stone 9lbs.

Well done to SOTW and all the other losers :T

    Evening all

Wow, what a day! I haven't had time to catch up on the thread, never mind post! The weather is great here, which is always good for business.

Beanie, brilliant news about being nominated for woman of the year, good luck!

Debjay, there's no shame is STS when you're close to target, hold your head high and be proud of yourself for losing 3 stone. :T

I'm pretty tired tonight, it's not going to be long before I go to bed.

    Back tomorrow.
