Quick post before I go to bed.

Lovely weather here again today and more forecast for the next few days. The office has been taking loads of calls from people wanting to book, so we're going to continue being busy for a while yet! :D

Maman, i didn't realise strawberries could affect milk, but mine rarely make it to the fridge as I tend to eat them quite soon after buying them. I don't like cold fruit so if I'm planning to have them for breakfast I leave them out overnight. Happy double anniversary.

Beanie, sorry to hear you were unsuccessful, but well done for being nominated. That club 10 will be yours next week. :A

Hugs to anyone struggling at the moment, as Beanie always says, keep plodding, it will work in the end.

    Have a lovely weekend everyone.

    Evening all
Something has upset my tummy :( I have a feeling it's because I was eating so much rubbish when I was away that my stomach is protesting wildly and trying to adjust to the fact that actually I'm eating good stuff again :D Thank goodness for Imodium :rotfl: Little NSV- I bought some PJ bottoms from Boux Avenue that were a bit tight and uncomfy to wear but now they fit nicely and are amazingly comfy. Problem is now I don't want to take them off :rotfl:
    Today's menu:
    B: Strawberries, water
    L: Ham salad, decaff tea
In the afternoon: Bottle of Becks Blue (2)
T: Steamed sea bass, broccoli, cauli, carrots, peas, decaff tea
S: 2 x packs of Peckish rice crackers, (9 syns- oops :o) HEXB 2 x Weetabix with 2 cherry 0% Activia Yoghurts, decaff tea.
    Syns: 11
    Steps: 5284

I just won £70 on online bingo- I'm off to actual bingo with a friend tomorrow so I hope my lucky streak keeps up!
Happy anniversary Maman- keep plodding everyone. Xxx

  • Happy anniversary Maman.

My bad week is continuing. I had Chinese last night! Oops! And I did not make good choices at all. Will try and get back on it today.
Met the new man last night so I'll blame him although we did walk around Plymouth Hoe searching for Pokemon so maybe that counts as a bit of body magic?

    Xx

Good morning all. Lovely day out, but heavy clouds forecast for the afternoon. Have optimistically put the washing out anyway!

I won my group's woman of the year. It's given me a motivational kick up the bum to carry on as have been struggling for a while, taken nearly 4 months to lose a stone. Have two more to target and I don't want that to take 8 months! So have put a goal date on target for end of the year.

Plan to be 100% on it today, first Saturday in ages I can say that...

    Breakfast - Porridge and berries. Coffee. (1/2 A, B)
Lunch - Pub lunch so will be going for jacket and beans, salad without dressing. Should be free.
Dinner - Freezer rummage but will most likely be burger, SW chips and more salad. 3 syns for burger and relish.

Rest of A will probably be another coffee after lunch, and rest of syns will most likely go on a tiny bit of cake as out for a family birthday. :o

Thanks for good wishes.:) DH still not realised it's our anniversary. I'll have to tell him soon if we're to do anything tonight.

I've just portioned up a massive chilli I made yesterday in SC. 5 x 2 meals and a small portion for me to have with a JP. Packed full of Speed so very SW friendly.

Sorry to hear you're feeling poorly MrsR. It's strange that bodies can rebel against rubbish when we've been used to healthy eating.

I've had my SW breakfast (HEB Puffed Wheat with HEA milk and strawberries). We're leaving early for the match so lunch will be something in town, probably a take away tuna salad from Pret unless we go in somewhere. This evening...who knows!:rotfl:

WI - -.5lb disappointed it's not more but still a loss is a loss. Maybe there's an inch or too gone from my waist instead (size 10 jeans :D).

I do think I have that body dysmorphia thing going on! When I gain, in my head I'm massive but lose half a pound and I'm super thin :o

So as I've (finally) lost the gain I had, in my head I'm super skinny and everyone will notice the weight loss when I go back to work (especially wearing my size 10s) :rotfl:

    Bonkers or what? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Last night for my tea I had the Slimming World sweet and sour chicken it was _pale_

Contained a bit of sweet and sour sauce and a large piece chicken thin in parts and thick in others. I couldn't eat it so ate my veg and tried the sauce but yuk.

I ended up having veg and a bag crisps for my tea :(

Rang Slimming World freephone careline this morning.

Lovely lady apologized and said she will send me out an apology letter with some Iceland vouchers. :T

UPDATE: Apologetic letter arrived this morning with 3 £1 vouchers stapled to it. So I got my money back nothing else :( lol

Happy anniversary Maman. Hope DH remembers and you don't have to remind him!

Well done June on getting your group's Woman of the Year. We're not having ours until next week as our consultant was on holiday this week.

Tweets not much in the way of compensation then but at least you got your money back in vouchers, so better than nothing.

Having another Green day today as fancy a mixed bean goulash that I cook and it's really quick and easy. The longest part is cooking the rice!

    B - Cheese on toast (HEA/HEB)
    L - egg, chips & beans, 3rd slice of crustless, butter (2)
    D - mixed bean goulash/rice

    HEB2 - cheese

Syns: butter 2; wine 14, so one over for today but not too many to pull back during the week as I tend to make mainly Free dinners.

Hubby has handed his notice in and is off for 3 days so they can't contact him :rotfl:

Had to pop into mr Ts for a few things and snuck a pair of 10s in the trolley . They fit perfectly, much better than I expected and better than Mr As :D. Gave in to a belt today as walking the dog with phone in back pocket made these jeans fall down :rotfl:

    Well done June89

The chicken katsu curry was AMAZING! Very spicy though so I had a sneaky beer to wash it down with :o

Says it serves 4, but Top Bloke and I had a large portion each and his seconds got rid of it all :T Big hit in our house

    2 large diced carrots
    2 large diced onion
    1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp. ginger paste (not sure so synned as 3)
1 tsp garlic paste (same so called it 2)
    1 tbsp. tomato puree
1 tsp chilli powder (I used extra hot which might explain the warmth!)
    1 tsp Chinese five spice
    1 tsp ground turmeric
350g boneless, skinless, chicken thighs cut into 1cm pieces
    200 ml chicken stock
    1 tbsp. cornflour (3?)
    1 tbsp. water
200ml milk/soya milk (left 100ml of my HEXA for this)
20g bunch of coriander, roughly chopped, to serve (forgot this :rotfl:)

Fry the chicken, carrot, onion and salt until chicken sealed and vegetables softening

Add pastes, puree and spices and mix well, let this fry together for a further minute and add the stock

Mix cornflour and water together, and add this paste plus the milk

Bring to a simmer, cover and cook for 10 minutes (I did 15 as I am wary about chicken), stirring occasionally.

Served with Blue Dragon Long Grain Rice (free) and SW chips. Delicious, well worth the couple of syns and felt like a weekend treat.
