Great news for you all round, ginger!

The Bairns have started the season with a defeat and a draw, so football is a sweary word right now. I had been rooting for Bournemouth (sorry Tweets) and Arsenal, so that didn't help improve my mood, lol.

    Succulent Sunday
Brunch: kippers, tomatoes, hm oat and bran bread (6)
    Snack: 2 ginger nuts (4) AND a Tunnock's Teacake (5) - I guess brunch was not a good idea :(
Dinner: roast beef, carrots, cabbage, potatoes, Yorkshire pudding (2) and gravy (1) followed by jelly (1/2) and 2 tinned pear quarters (1 1/2)
    Snack: hexa cheese and grapes

    Hi all

Was so thrilled to lose 2 lbs this week - I'm back to my pre-holiday weight loss of 3 stone :j . Was even more thrilled as I had my niece all last week and so had a couple of really off plan days! Back on track these week as she's gone back to her mum and DH has returned from his Army Cadet camp.

We're doing our WOTY next week (due to another charity event happening last week or something...I can't remember) and I've literally just had a text from the consultant telling me I've been nominated. I'm so thrilled. My weight loss isn't the quickest (averages 3 lbs in 4 weeks) but I'm now 1 stone away from target and am definitely one who gets back on the bike after I've fallen off it.

The past couple of weeks I've been switching up my HEBs and had another "new" one tonight - 60g dried apricots. Had to buy some for a recipe we tried yesterday (the Aromatic Lamb Bake from the Extra Easy All In One book) so I portioned the remainder into HEBs. They were really nice and sweet to eat after my dinner.

    Today's food:

Brunch: Bacon, eggs, beans, mushrooms, tomato
    Snack: Apple, pear, satsumas
Dinner: Roast beef, roast potatoes, yorkies, carrots, cabbage, proper gravy.
Snack: Trio (6 syns and a really annoying earworm :rotfl:)
    HEA: Milk
    HEB: Dried apricots
We may not have it all together, but together we have it all

Hi everyone, hoping I can pop in here for some support. I've been trying to lose weight with slimming world at home for a while. I managed to get down to 10st 8 just before my wedding in October but then a honeymoon to America and a lot of social events have meant that my weight has ballooned up to 11st 8lbs as of this morning. I'm determined to get down to my target of 9st 7lbs by my 30th birthday in March or at least close to it.

I know my problem is motivation and if I'm accountable to someone (even if it is strangers on the internet) then I can do a lot better than struggling on my own. So here we go for Day 1 back on plan:

    B - 1 x alpen light (1/2 HEB), 2 clementines, ff yogurt
L - Ham salad (ham, mixed leaves, pickles)
D - Cottage Pie with brocolli and cauliflower and HEA of cheddar on top
    S - 1 x alpen light (1/2 HEB), Hot chocolate (2.5 syns)

Also planning on starting my workout plan again to so hopefully will have 30 minutes of arm workouts followed by some yoga.

  • Morning slimmers xx Can I tag along here would love some extra support alongside slimming down my clutter and debts, to be honest if I find one part of my life out of order most of it is. I am not new to slimming world and weight loss in general I am 3 stone down with WW and was half a pound off my 5.5st award with SW until a crazy minute turned into a bingey weekend arghhh why do I do it??
Anyway I am back on track and got 56.5lb to go to my first target...

B- Arla warm ginger snack pot.and a pear.
l- Naked noodle chow mein pot and an orange.
T-2 poached Eggs and beans on toast ..

Today is very random as working a 16 hour shift (midnight Sunday til teatime Monday)but aiming for the red and green days again as these work for me.. I am still undecided on really upping my steps on my fitbit back up to 15,000-20,000 a day or keeping them low on 8,000 as never really 100% commit to any plan exercise or otherwise so don't know what truly works for me. Anyone here see many struggle to lose with excessive walking in group compared with just following SW plan??

    D - lamb tagine, couscous

    HEA - milk
    HEB - bread
Syns - low fat spread 0.5; brown sauce 1; not sure what else, maybe some dark chocolate

Welcome ruby_eskimo and raindaze and congrats on your weightloss and WOTY nomination Emmylou!

Gingerfurball - great news about your Mum and well done on being brave and wearing "normal" clothes to weigh in :-)

I'm battling with myself today. It's so hard to get back on plan after a holiday. I didn't go completely crazy but I enjoyed a couple of afternoon teas with scones, jam and cream as well as some chocolate and dinners out. I am expecting a gain on the scales this week but going to try really hard and see if I can minimise the damage and maybe STS.

ETA: just saw you got your group's WOTY June - congratulations!!

Congratulations on your loss and your nomination emmy.:T

STS after a holiday is quite an achievement gfb. Well done!:)

We won't be strangers for long ruby.

Your menu looks good, almost EESP if it wasn't for the mash on the cottage pie. The jury's still out on SP but I think the more we control our carb portions and up the Speed the better. I can see you only have 2.5 syns planned. Are you saving them?

I'd say your menu today isn't bad for Green although if it wasn't for your long shift then my comment would be the meals are a bit snacky and overall not much food. I'm assuming the toast is your HEB and you're perhaps having milk for drinks as your HEA. You seem well under syns too and no extra HEXs for Green.
I agree that being in control of your weight helps massively.
Do you mean that your group/consultant is pushing excessive walking in your group? IMO it's the food (and drink:o) that makes the biggest difference to weightloss. Exercise is great for lots of things like toning and suppleness and a general feel good factor but it's not essential. I'd just do what you can.
I was well behave yesterday and stuck to lean meat and plain salad. I ignored the burger bun and although I had a couple of bits of crackling the syns were no more than if I'd had a roast at home. Another bonus was sticking to a few G&Ts with diet tonic. It all helps rein back, until the next time.....tomorrow.
    Today's plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: probably JP with cottage cheese and beetroot
D: ham, egg, SW chips, mushrooms
    Syns: maybe a biscuit
I'm calling this a Green day so it'll be a very small slice of ham.
  • Hiya and welcome to the newcomers :hello:

I've had a naff week food-wise, really annoyed with myself for eating utter rubbish, star week's looming so I'm tempted to blame that. But I know it's more due to the fact that I'm in holiday mode as we're away in 2 weeks and I just can't get my head in the game properly. So massive line drawn and on I plod ..

We are due an online shop later today, packed with lots of yummy healthy things so hopefully that'll keep me on track

B - crunchy bran with muller light and banana
L - BNS soup with a couple of ryvita for dunking in
T - gammon grill with fried potatoes & lots of veg to make up for lack of speed at breakfast

Trying to be low on syns today to scrape a maintain this week if I can

Gorgeous sunshine here so I'll have my lunch in the garden I think

    Have a lovely day everyone
    xx
