Doing lots of green days at the moment as we're giving veg the heave-ho until our hols (OH's idea) but still eating fish so pescatarian diet I guess you could call it - not that I eat fish apart from cod cakes and tuna :D whether it'll help with the weight loss who knows. I thought I'd go crazy not being able to eat bacon or chicken but it's not gone too badly. It's made the weekly shop a lot cheaper so I'm happy with that.

    Have a great Sunday everyone
    xx

I'm guessing you meant to say meat rather than veg?

Does anyone know of an alternative HEB to OSS Mulitigrain or any instant oats which are HEB? I have tried making porridge with normal oats and I can't get the texture right. I don't eat them every day - every 10 days in the summer, half that in the winter.

Overnight oats are a good alternative to porridge and can be prepared the night before so there's nothing to do in the morning. They're also transportable if you like to take breakfast to work.

Creeps back in..... don't know why but I've been really unmotivated at the mo, most unlike me I've stuck to the plan since joining beginning of June and lost weight from 1.5lb to 3.5lb and 7.5lb first week.
So 9 weeks in and I'd lost 1stone and 9.5lbs and I've hit my first brick wall it seems.

I've not gone mega off track but did decide to have a week off, still keeping roughly to having 3 meals out in the week and then today I went to a vegan fair and had my SW head on as ordered a vegan hot dog with bean chilli but asked for the sausage and chilli on a plate no bread roll (they were huge baguette length ones) then I had a slice of baked vanilla cheesecake and ate the filling and left the pastry part!

Have got a bag of scones that I've brought to use tomorrow when family visit but I'm not too fussed with scones so will have fruit tomorrow.

I didn't go to club last week and past few weeks I've had to go to morning weigh in as I've been caring for my Mum who's been ill.

Maybe I need to stay for the meeting next week only got 2 weeks left on my referal vouchers so need to go to get my next lot as my GP surgery won't do the form as from the council area I work in so got to ask my consultant to do the form.

Sorry for long post I'm obviously feeling guilty I've had a bad week and eaten too much and need a boot in the direction of getting back to plan from tomorrow if I've any chance of a loss on Thursday but after the last week I doubt it:o

Do you need frozen fruit? I never have room for them in my freezer

You can do it with fresh fruit but part of the moistness of the dish comes from the juice from the frozen fruit. Have you got more space in your fridge? If so you could use the whole container of frozen fruit to make up four or five portions in advance, then keep them in the fridge. If you like cold food they can be eaten straight from the fridge - I prefer fruit at room temperature so I'd take it out the night before.

    Morning all

Reporting in this week with a STS.

I think I need to be more accurate with counting syns - I've been allowing myself more each day because I'm not saving up syns for weekend wine, but probably not counting everything.

Have a good week everyone - good luck to everyone weighing today.

Doh! Yes what a narna I am, obviously meant cutting out meat rather than veg :D not sure SW would really work the other way around!

Candyapple - there's no reason you can't have chicken or bacon on a Green day, you just have to limit the amount. If you haven't got a Green book post on here and I'll have a look how much.

Thanks Denise I'll give you a shout once I'm back on the meat eating wagon again :) I think Green days were over with by the time I joined SW so they're not in my book but I do like them for the extra HEXs

One will keep on plodding ;)

Maybe it's because you're out of routine during school holidays tweets? Maybe if you did like lois suggests and counted syns carefully or did a food diary of everything that passes your lips for a week it might help?

Hello alisont, good to have you back. You've done the right thing keeping up with group and now coming back here. It doesn't sound as if you've strayed too far. Keep posting, it's interesting to see how you manage SW being a vegan. I think you have to be creative and plan really well.

I settled for roast beef yesterday. Masses of meat but I thought they were a bit mean with the veg but then maybe that's because we always have loads at home. Usual non SW friendly bits (yorkie and non-SW roasties) but not too bad in the scheme of things.

    Back on plan today:

    EE menu:
B: NAS grapefruit, 2 boiled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
L: probably JP with cottage cheese and beetroot
D: salmon, SW chips, runner beans, tomatoes, mushrooms
Syns: maybe a biscuit when I'm out dancing tonight

    Thanks Maman

Yes it does require some working around as a vegan but is pretty vegan friendly as loads of veggies, salad, tofu, quorn now do 3 vegan products and some of the vegan products are low syn such as Frys and Linda MaCartney ranges plus I love beans and pulses. It's annoying having to syn yoghurt etc as the almond and plain I get are very low or zero sugar.

I'm afraid I do find the weekly chat about meat products and Miller lights very boring but realise that helps some so I should just ignore it.

I think my problem is I'm out of my routine as I'm term time only with work so I'm off for 7-8 weeks now got 3 weeks left. I've also been working round my Mum being ill and being carer and not being able to get to class and stay for group.

I'll have to make more effort - only I can do it and I've only wobbled off path so can correct it now and really go for it once back at work in 3 weeks.

I hate it when DH and I have a meal in a restaurant and they bring out a side dish of vegetables which would be a normal portion for me, and they say it's one between two!
