Lois~~I went for the blue.
Other colours were not my colours.
My Pandora bracelet broke last night.
Sad about that but had it five years which for me is great.

My friend is thinking of becoming a slimming world consultant, we are going to an intro meeting about it at the weekend. Does anyone have any experience of this? Looking online a lot of people say it cost a lot to set up, and didn't produce much return for the hours involved. I'm aware the presentation is likely to be all positive to encourage new applicants, so I'm looking for a more balanced view.
Actual figures would be useful e.g. run 2 meetings a week, earnings after all expenses paid £X. I saw one example of a person who said it cost nearly £2k to set up, and she only just made it all back over 6 months.
Do you know how long your consultant has been going? I'm wondering if they are constantly turning over groups to new people.0 -
:T Congratulations on your loss and have a great birthday mrsp.
At the bottom end of target range is the perfect place to be before a holiday arkers. Have a great time, take the hit of any gain then get back on plan when you return. That's a philosophy that works well for me.;)
Have a lovely holiday week too topgirl and you can do the same when things are back to 'normal'.
You can do everything possible to claw back yesterday's blip too betty. Just like lois said, as few syns as possible and plenty of Speed (maybe some SP meals?) and you'll be fine.
We had heavy rain yesterday evening and through the night but it's picking up now, even something yellow in the sky.;)
Hopefully there'll be a silver lining to the cake episode MrsR. That's an amazing step count. Where are you going with the travel money?
Will you buy a new chain for the Pandora beanie? Hopefully the beads are OK.
I wish I could have crisps in the house and ignore them denise but they call to me. I buy DH cakes and biscuits which I can ignore though so I do understand.
Wow! what a chatty lot.:)
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, scrambled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for drinks
L: lentil and veg soupchicken jambalaya (peppers, courgettes, tomatoes, onion, mushrooms)
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, may put a couple of syns of chorizo in jambalaya for added flavour and colour0 -
Thanks for the encouragement Beanie, Lois and maman! Today has started well with Weetabix for breakfast and I have a pot of homemade carrot and coriander simmering on the hob - I'm thinking that will be speed? Going to have a chicken and veg stir fry for dinner but without any noodles/rice to keep it speedy.
Sorry to hear about your bracelet Beanie - is it fixable?
Well done on your loss Arkers and Mrsp!
Lois I do feel sorry for your poor holidaymakers, the weather this year has been awful. I hope the next couple of weeks have some real sunshine.
Enjoy your break Top Girl
Sorry New Me, I don't know anything about being a consultant though we were all given recruitment leaflets at our class too. I remember reading somewhere that consultants make £100 per week but I don't know if that was after expenses or before. Either way, it's not a lot of dosh for a fair amount of work IMHO.0 -
Thank you for the chart Shala!
Very pleased to get SOTW here :j Thank you.
Sadly only 1/2lb off this week.0 -
New me - there used to be a good thread on minimins about being a consultant. I can't look for the link at work but i'll have a look later.
I know a lot of people on there gave it up after a bit.
From what I remember..
If you're taking over a established class then it looks like you get more money from the start - you get different percentages of the takings depending on number of members/retention etc.
If you start a new class then you only get a small percentage until you reach a certain member rate. It means you'd have to do a lot of canvassing (is that the right word?) and delivering leaflets, putting up posters to try and get your numbers up.
I can't remember now how much the franchise was - £2k ish?
I imagine you need to be a people person to be able to hack it.. no good for me :rotfl:Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Pleased to hear of your loss, Lois.
Beanie, daughter has a Samsung phone and app came with it – it’s called S Health. Oh just spotted you’ve sorted yourself out Well done.
Didn’t manage in yesterday. STS for me, shala; not surprising at all.
Well done, mrsp and Arkers.
I’m prostrate in front of you, fozzie, o sotw.
Hope you’re feeling better, Mrs_R.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
I've caught up with you all I think
Shala sorry thought I'd reported in with my 1lb loss last week - not the whole 2lb gain from the previous week off but a step in the right direction. I have been better behaved food wise this weekend.
today:
breakfast: cheesestring (1/2 hea) and a hi fi light (1/2 heb) - was running late so not much time and had hardly any appetite
lunch: 1/4 of a melon and a handful of strawberries. another cheesestring (2nd half of hea)
mid afternoon: hi fi light (2nd half heb) 4 chocolate fingers (6 syn)
tea: not sure yet. OH is having left overs. I think littlie and I may have some kind of savoury mince and mash (5 syns or less) will see how I feel once I get home
I'm definitely less bloated this week and I'm not constipated for a change. I have some multivits and some other supplements that I haven't used in ages but I refuse to throw them out as they are decent and cost a relative amount (not my usual £1 multivits ha) so I am trying those this week to see if they help with just about everything. not holding water either as I don't think I've been to the toilet so frequently apart from when I was pregnant haha************************************

Hiya everyone
In a better frame of mind today after my last 2 naughty days. Holiday is just 4 weeks away now so I really need to get my bum in gear so I don't feel like an elephant around the pool
