Wow thanks Shala and everyone :j I am clearly never going to get SOTW in class so I am extra chuffed to get it in here
Hope you have a very happy birthday Lush!
Have a lovely time in Devon Arkers, hope you get good weather.
From your experiences it does seem like around a stone = a dress size. Although you are experiencing something a bit different Lois. I guess it all depends on where we lose the weight too. My problem spot is my stomach which I think will be the last to give up the fight so it makes sense that my trouser size hasn't dropped even if my thighs and hips etc. are smaller. Could be the same for you Lois?
So mrsP and shala are getting a tattoos and lantanna is going for K Gieger boots - what is everyone else going to treat themselves to as a target reward? I'm going to buy myself a silver and quartz ring I've been coveting for months.0 -
Hello Humans :j
Just hopping on to let you know the latest...
I did itI got to target, and I am actually quite pleased
So going 'sugar free' did work, and I think I'll have to stick with it as I know that one nibble would soon get me nobbled and it would be game over.
Hi Frogga - what a great achievementI can't imagine going completely sugarfree but I have started to be a little more mindful
My weekend:
Saturday was on plan and at/slightly under 15 syns
sunday was on plan...although granted I missed breakfast then picked until the BBQ - finished the BBQ at 7 syns and had a glass of pink cava that will have taken me to 15
yesterday was different: took littlie out for breakfast (5 syns for hashbrowns) and then OH surprised us with lunch out as a final foodie treat. I had a chicken tikka masala then regretted it as it wasn't the best - plain boiled rice, 1 tbsp. mango chutney, a poppadum and a naan that was a waste I actually left over half of the naan and almost all the sauce! but I did also enjoy my only dessert of the weekend which was two scoops of icecream in a waffle coneso full it was 1/4 of a melon for tea! and I took littlie to the park before bed
today:
breakfast - heb fruit and fibre with 1/2 hea semi skimmed plus an instant fruit tea
lunch: I have a huge box of left over salad plus 2 leftover asda reduced fat pork sausages cut in to it all (0.5 syn) the salads include: peas, sweetcorn, wholemeal pasta, new potatoes, diced onion, coleslaw mix (red cabbage, white cabbage, carrot and onion) and fat free fromage frais
snacks are: cherries, easy peelers and green grapes
tea: I'm thinking two more of the leftover BBQ sausages (0.5 syn) and salad
tonight I want to clean the kitchen down then clear the fridge out and give it a tidy. then I'm hoping to prep:
carrot sticks
hard boiled eggs
melon (diced)
pineapple (diced)
strawberries
boiled baby potatoes
mini omelettes/egg muffins
also aiming for minimum 60 active minutes and 3 litres of water a daywant that 2 off this week but would prefer 3. limiting syns to 10 or less a day to cover yesterdays curry and ice cream.
I also got given new running shoes for my birthday AND our neighbour asked if I fancied taking up jogging with her as shes cancelled her gym membership so I think the universe has made the decision haha. I'm going to give it a go
anyone on instagram? I need new accounts to follow for sw-inspiration************************************
Daughter born 26/03/14
Son born 13/02/210 -
Hello all...our son has booked his flights for Friday and that's us with an empty nest
We're going to miss him a lot...he's moving from here in NI to Leeds...so won't see him too often. Hubby is really feeling it.
Shala - could you remove me from this challenge...looking at my 2lb is making me sad...and I'm off on holidays at the weekend so (even though I'm hoping to sts or at least not gain too much) I'll not be making much of an impact on weight loss for the next couple of weeks...I'll still keep posting and checking the thread...and I'll join the next one all guns blazing.
As far as clothe sizes go...I'm kinda top heavy (big boobz and tummy) with relatively fit legs (I used to run quite a bit) so far I've lost 17lbs and I've gone from a 16 loose style jeans and I'm wearing topshop size 14 skinnies today. I do wear bigger tops...I'm down from a 22 to a 18/20 or so.0 -
2nd weigh-in today.
Pleased with a 4lb loss!!
So 9.5 lbs in 2 weeks. Now I have to keep motivated as the loss slows to a crawl, if that!0 -
Nervous for weigh in..
Food for today.
B - 2 weetabix (hexb) with semi skimmed (hexa) and canderel. Apple afterwards.
L - grapefruit and muller light yoghurt
D - tuna pasta with salad - peppers, onions, cucumber and lettuce.
Snacks - quavers (4 and a half), maybe skittles (7 syns for 36g)0 -
No problem at all Credit crunched, we welcome a healthy debate on this bit of the forum
I just wanted to put up a different point of view as you said to avoid this way of eating.
I don't always agree with the Slimming World principles.. they do push certain brands more than they should IMO and they aren't necessarily the healthy brands(sweetners etc).. however, overall I think they like to encourage their members to cook from scratch.
I know my weight gain this week comes from stuffing pizza in my face - no calorie counting or slimming world plan would have helped that this week :rotfl: so there are lots of different reasons other than portion control, but yes I agree that this can be an issue.
What's your thesis about? I love a good health study...
Brilliant typo by the way! :rotfl:
How'd you know it's a typo? I'm certainly a guts after the last couple of weeks, hence the 2.5lb gainMy friend has the semi colon on her arm too MrsP! I was cat sitting at the weekend and had forgotten how bonkers they are.
