First wedding anniversary tomorrow and hubby "has something planned" for tomorrow night. I'm assuming it's a meal out at the hotel we got married at. Also yesterday neither of us were feeling very well and so we ordered Chinese for dinner. I had boiled rice, king prawn Chop suey and mixed veg with cashew nuts. Ate more than I should but didn't eat it all. Don't think I could've done better than that really.
Not volunteering today - still feeling a bit off today so I'm at home and have decided to binge watch the whole of series 5 of the GBBO. Hopefully hubby will go fishing this afternoon and I'll have the house to myself.
That's the secret to a happy marriage :rotfl:0 -
Sorry a few days ago someone asked about Biggest Loser and I forgot to reply, I apologise but I'm easily distracted
I think it's usually on Sky Living but the season we watched is over now. They sometimes repeat it though so watch out for it coming back on...
.
Thanks so much Shala, that was me
Good luck for the next few weeks Lois, I hope you make a million!
Welcome back Rebster, where in Italy did you go? I loved Rome when we went there but would love to go back and see the Lakes etc.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LushLifesaver, Have a lovely day.
My home scales are showing a decent loss so I'm hopeful that I'll make a good impression at my new class tomorrowThen again, I do feel quite bloated so who knows. You girls could be right thinking it's water retention - how do you get rid of it??

Mmmm chip shop curry sauce sounds yummy. I prefer the soups and sauces I think to the ready meals - I've not found any of those which I really really like.
Big hugs gainers! I don't really swell up in the heat although my MIL suffers with it really badly. We all went on hol together a few years ago and her ankles were about 3x the size after a while. I just tend to get really grumpy and irritable if it's too hotIt feels a bit cooler today so I'm a happy bunny.
Incase I don't get on over the weekend happy anniversary mrsp and happy birthday lush
Today's food:
B - overnight oats HEB using turkish delight ML & nectarine, lemon detox tea
L - jacket potato with tuna mayo and HEA cheese
T - sweet & sour chicken using WW sauce (4 syns for my half)
Need to do a top up shop at some point today. My fruit bowl is literally empty and my veg rack is looking a bit sorry for itself - most of my salad seems to have gone mulchy in the heat yuck!
Have a good day everyone whatever you do

Thanks, I will try it.
I did the fromage fraise, white wine vinegar, sweetener, mustard one.
But will try the variations. I have % quark, fromage frais and yog in the fridge.
[QUOTE=shala_moo;71029829We use yogurt with a squidge of light mayo for our dressing fozzie, add a bit of mustard and pepper too and it's nice. Those bags of shredded veg are brilliant aren't they..

That sounds good, I will try it, thank you!lushlifesaver wrote: »I use quark or low fat/fat free fromage frais and add a shredded or diced apple to mine - very nice and refreshing

Day 11
B - overnight oats (heb) with Turkish delight mullerlight (gives a tang) and raspberries, blackcurrants and redcurrants.
L - Ham and chicken and nectarines
T - Trying SW chips, egg, maybe small tin of spag hoops. Followed by whatever fruit I can find hiding in the fridge.
Had a lemon drizzle fibre one bar with a cuppa for 1st time (I love the choc ones) and ended up sharing it with DGS who thought it was delicious, so 2 syns so far.
But there is a long evening ahead!0 -
Hope you’re super busy over the next few weeks, Lois, even though we’ll miss you!
Cologne sounds great, Emmylou - and it sounds like you’re back on track already!
Sending you lots of hugs, Tete. You’ve been a good supporter; I’m sure you’ll get your mojo back soon.
Yes, lush, fly cemetery is just currant cake. I love it.
This weather seems to be bringing lots of gains with it! I hope it doesn’t affect me too, come Monday.
“cankles”, shala – not heard that before. Is it swollen ankles?
Thanks for your cheap quickie meal ideas, maman. Lots of you are good at that sort of thing – maybe we should make a CBA (can’t be a***d) collection for when we CBA to look through all those lovely ideas we already have.
Happy anniversary mrsp.
Happy birthday weekend, lush.
Friday
Breakfast: hexb porridge, banana
Lunch: Batchelor’s cheese & broccoli pasta ‘n’ sauce with tomatoes
Dinner: smoked haddock, boiled potatoes, green beans & mangetout (shh don’t tell) dotted with butter (3)
Snack: hexa cheese & grapes
Off to match tomorrow, so I’m working hard at controlling syns today as I’ll be sharing an Indian takeaway with DH afterwards, no doubt.
Enjoy yourselves, whatever you’re up to.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -

Thanks everyone for the kind words, and I must admit I'm relieved to see other gainers too. I hadn't made the connection with the heat tbh, although I don't really feel 'swollen'. I've certainly had the sausage fingers all week, but I went on a run yesterday and actually felt slimmer than I had in ages in my running gear - I normally have a little muffin top because the leggings are so tight and yesterday it felt greatly reduced. I guess we can only keep plodding and see where we end up when things level out. Mercifully, the heat means chocolate is the last thing on my mind!
Betty I think the best way of dealing with water retention is to drink more water no? Your body holds onto it because it thinks there's some sort of drought on, but if you keep drinking then it realises it can 'release' what it's hanging on to as it knows there's a plentiful supply? Whoever mentioned the dandelion tea is probably right as well, they're not known as making you wet the bed for nothing!
Maman, the voice of reason! I know SW can be quick and easy really, I did do a lot of batch cooking last week though so that explains the expense and washing up fatigue I suppose!
Ooh GFB - I love sweet and sour so will be trying that meal out for sure, I may never need to eat a takeaway ever again! Hmmm.
Looks like another glorious day out there but my sunburn and I shall be remaining indoors. I did do nine and a half miles up on the moors yesterday (and got a tick on my leg in the process ) so I don't feel too bad about lazing about in my PJs with my book this morning!
Have a good weekend all, happy birthday to Lush and happy anni to MrsP xxWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Day 12 - still hot here!
My sausage fingers and puffed up feet suggest I am unlikely to lose weight next week BUT I am eating SO much better (more healthily) that I have decided that's fine.....and I am actually (very early days) enjoying Slimming World! :j
B - strawberries, raspberries, pineapple, nectarine
L - going to try oat pancakes again (and hope they don't fall apart again) with strawberries and raspberries and greek yogurt.
T - SW chicken chow mien. I have prepped the veg to go in the stir fry, red pepper, red onion, baby corn, broccoli, asparagus, sugar snaps, water chestnuts, carrot, onion. Dry noodles.
My local Sainsburys didn't have the oyster sauce that is free, so had to get another one and syn it. Also syns for the sweet chilli sauce. The meal planner is saying 3 1/2 syns for a 1/4 of the meal (serves 4).
I did manage to find the Sweet Freedom fruit syrup so may have some of the on my pancakes for 2 syns.0
