Well, folks, I STILL haven't managed to read back, so I've only read this page - and lots of things have piqued my interest, so may yet go back a bit. Glad to see there are lots of new faces here.

My brain works in strange ways and I misinterpreted a couple of things
fozziebeartoo: Inside is 5% mince ... - That's not much mince, " I thought, "but there is a lot of veg right enough." Then the penny dropped.
lush: some boots flavoured popcorn ... - "Eek! I don't fancy that!" was my immediate reaction.
I did get a good chuckle.

Well, I've been pretty well under syns since Tuesday.
    Today was
Breakfast: hexb BLT (1 - mayo), banana
Lunch: ham & tomato omelette, salad (lettuce, tomatoes, syboes, cucumber, red pepper), Danone Light & Free raspberry yogurt (hoping it's free - can't find it, not even on syns allowed - can anyone confirm, please?)
    Snack: shortbread finger (5)
Dinner: chicken cacciatore (4), new potatoes, broccoli, strawberries and ff Greek yogurt
Snack tonight wil be grapes and hexa cheddar

Tomorrow, instead of taking my friend out for lunch, we are just going for an afternoon not-really-tea, iyswim, ie not the whole shooting match - I hope! It was just arranged this evening and already I had tomorrow's dinner sorted, so I didn't want two main meals (I try to avoid the snacky lunches as they usually involve bread). So tea and a cake it will be (actually this is the friend who likes lunch AND afternoon tea on the same outing, so SOME syns will be saved). Any ideas on best choices? I do not like meringue or anything with chocolate, tend to go for scone or empire biscuit or fly cemetery or coffee & walnut cake - that kind of thing.

Oh well, ttfn. It's good to be back.

    Welcome back Greentiger.

You'll be pleased to know the Light & Free are just that - Free. :) And they're really nice, very creamy and not too sweet.

Danone Light & Free Greek Style Yogurt, Raspberry Razzle 4 pack (115g pot) FREE

What's your friend like weightwise, is she one of those lucky s*ds that can eat anything and stay slim, or should she be doing SW?

Regarding treats for afternoon tea, scones are quite low in calories as they don't have much fat in them, however as most people like to pile on butter and jam and/or clotted cream, that soon adds on the syns.

    LOL @ fly cemeteries. :rotfl:

I bought some 5% fat pork mince (on offer in Morrisons £1 for 250g), but checking the calories its 179 kcal for 100g v 5% beef mince 120kcal? I thought pork was suppost to be healthier? Turkey mince is 7% at 140kcal. I'm confused

5% mince is still free so don't worry. I suppose the explanation is that it says 'less than 5% fat' on most packs of free mince so the variation in calories is probably in the how much less.

The caf! sort of scone (like M&S caf!) rather than a tiny one made up from scone mix is still coming up at a day's syns greentiger and that's before butter/jam/cream. I have a friend who just has to have a cake or biscuit with a cup of tea when we're out. When I was getting to target I just had a pot of tea and let her get on with it but relatively easy for me as I don't have a particularly sweet tooth. For me temptation is being in a bar and drinking fizzy water when there's wine on offer:o. I think you just take the hit and try to claw back on syns tomorrow.

Thanks maman; should be easier as I am not at the mercy of others as I'm the only cook at home!

That's a shame though lush as you never get a break. Couldn't BF be persuaded that it's really macho to cremate things on a BBQ?;)

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, scrambled eggs, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas
    L: probably soup and melon
    D: SW spaghetti Bolognese
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, parmesan (although probably get away with it as part of HEA), maybe 3 syns of chocolate

STS for me this morning.. Better than i thought it would be but i'm hoping some of it was water retention.. OH lost 1.5lb..

Just at The shopping outlet place now waiting for OH to try on loads of jeans!! Had pancakes for breakfast  and then we're going to have tea out so it'll be pizza or something..

Back on track as of tomorrow!! I'm quite proud that we've managed to stay on plan most of the week even though we've been off work:D

potentially...it's whether or not we trust him with fire! hehe...he's not too back actually - I tend to start things off in the oven (even though he thinks that its silly) inside then let him finish/crisp them on the BBQ ;) either way it's me preparing everything anyway as he can't use the kitchen work tops!

I could do with starting to let littlie try and do things so I may plonk them both at the table to do some basic bits and see how she gets on with him!

weigh day and I am definitely bringing a gain home tonight! breakfast: melon, strawberries and passionfruit with sweetened quark (actually a really lush breakfast and definitely going to happen again)
    mid morning: heb peanut hifi
lunch: chicken pasta mugshot (1 syn)
mid afternoon: easy peeler, 1 rich tea finger

drinks: coffee (dash of milk from hea) water and nas squash.

Dusting myself off and back on it. I really want another 1/2 st award before the wedding so in the next 5 weeks. I figure that should be fine dress fitting wise. in total that will be 1/2st less than I wanted to achieve before the wedding :/

going to buy another countdown as I think its a more cost effective way to go to group and I'm not going to hit target in those weeks following that and I'll buy another journal. I've barely used mine this week and I've actually missed keeping track of everything!

going to run some 'sp' ideas past my consultant and check that I have the right idea then start using those at least 3 days a week. going to up my exercise again and do zumba at home 1/2 times a week (30-60minutes), 60 active minutes a day (usually lunchtime walk) and also take little one swimming every Monday - not proper swimming but I want her to start getting used to swimming pools as she's been less than half a dozen times before the holiday.

I think I need a bit of visual encouragement I can have around - any ideas?

I thought summer holidays would be easier when my daughters grew up, got married, left home......enter DGS aged 6!!

All my planned meals went out the window as we have been out Pokemon hunting :o Him walking and me on a mobility scooter, we must have looked an odd pair :D

    B - oat cupcakes (heb)

Stop in caf! (Pok!mon hunting is hot work). Tea for me while DGS had ice cream and Viennese whirl!

Very late lunch - left over Sw cottage pie (bursting with veg)

T - too hot to even think about. Possibly jacket potato with syned cheese and chicken. I would also add a tiny bit of butter.

    Hea is always skimmed milk.

Weight Loss Planner shows that as 6 syns so will have something else later I expect.
