Wow, there's a lot of posts since I last visited this thread! WI day today and I lost 3lb ! Well chuffed with that. Got my 5.5st award plus was SOTW. The basket had a lot of nice goodies in it, so was happy.

    Thank you shala_moo!!

I shall drag the waffle maker out of the cupboard that harbours all those kitchen appliances that seemed like a great idea at the time!!

I just make it with the magic pancake recipe and shove in the waffle maker..

    •35g porridge oats
•half muller light yoghurt (I use natural yogurt or whatever I have in the fridge)
    •splash of vanilla essence
    •1/2 eggs depending on size
    •sweetner to taste

I actually whizz the oats up so it's a bit smoother, however, there's obviously the argument whether this is a tweak or not and whether it's allowed or not.. it's up to you to decide :D

I go by the consultant I follow on Instagram, she says because its a measured healthy extra b for your oats then you can't overeat it so it's not a tweak..

    Day 5

Funny sort of day. Loads of time consuming "stuff" had to be done but it doesn't feel like I accomplished much.

    B - passed in a blur

L - made a SW quiche with loads of free veg. 4 syns for cheese. But it was so filling that I ate less than 1/2.

Snack - Light & Free yoghurt. Finally found them in Tesco! No sign in Sainsburys.

T - I had left over SW curry that had loads of veg.

HEA is 1% milk in tea.

HEB turned out to be Finn Crisp crackers with 4 syns for light philly.

So 8 syns today. Enough left for a fibre bar if I want something else later.

I've been wallowing in self pity at my blinking ankle and have scared myself at just how easy I have slipped back in to bad habits! I haven't made the last 2 weigh ins but am determind to make it this week. I'm hoping for a STS at best but im expecting a hefty gain :o

    Day1 back on plan:

    B: oats (b) aldi yoghurt (1), strawberries
L: left over veggie chillie, cheese (a)
    sn: Veggie quiche, necterine
D: chicken and veggie tikka with rice and huge helping of hm coleslaw (3)

not sure if I will have anything else, need to claw back some over spent syns :o

    B) Bacon and mushroom sandwich on HEXB bread

    D) Missed :o

    T) Chilli dogs (SW chilli, SW sausages, HEXA cheese and lettuce instead of rolls)

    Wine syns.

Please tell me I'm not the only one in a total funk? Although, I got in some next size down jeans today, even if they gave me the rollover...

Hugs Topgirl, it is hard some days but you're doing something about it, and every day you'll be getting closer to being the weight you want to be.. imagine the day you look in the mirror and love what you see :D

Thank you shala_moo , I really appreciate it.

After today, I am taking control back. 'Treats' within syns and lots of free/speed options to keep me on track.

Just found out I have a voluntary placement at a local school (adjusting work hours so I don't lose money) starting in Septemer to get my classroom experience for teacher training and I would like to be in my slimmer clothes by then, even if I can't be in my goal clothes. It's abou 10lb away by my reckoning so doable :)

Can't possibly be a tweak as you HAVE to eat that (or the equivalent) once a day :T

    Hi all

Lovely day here, summer has finally arrived, lets hope it doesn't go away again when the school's break up.

The G&T jellies are lovely, DH and I had one after lunch today and may have another later. I used 1 can of gin and slimline tonic which is 4 syns, and the jelly is 1.5 for the sachet, so they work out at about 1.5 syns each, which isn't bad at all.

I made a lovely pudding the other day with a caramel snackajack (2.5 syns), a banana, and a WW banoffee fromage frais (0.5 syns). It tasted much naughtier than 3 syns worth.

Tie - great news re the NSV and good luck with getting into the next stone bracket before you go on holiday.

Shala - those waffles sound/look lovely, but I definitely haven't got room for a waffle maker! :rotfl: I've virtually stopped eating cereals for breakfast now, only occasionally having overnight oats. Most days I have fruit and yogurt and find it's enough, in the past I would have had a grumbling stomach by 9.30!

Well done GFB and everyone who's lost weight this week. :T

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

    LL :)

Thanks Lois but I'm not off on holibobs or near next st bracket. Easily mixed up with all these comments :o nice to see it so busy in here :D
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

  • Since I moved house I have been off the sw wagon, but my weight has been creeping up again due to too many take aways, with having such a long commute. Anyway, I start a new job tomorrow so no excuses any more, so I'm going to sign up again and start afresh. I realised I need to lose 100lbs or so and trying to do it before I hit 40 is very doable, so I'm going to use that to help with motivation.

I've done a little chart to put on the fridge with 1 to 100 in boxes on I can colour in for each lb lost, along with postit notes I can change once in a while with motivational phrases on.
