    lush~~I love risotto.
    It is lovely.
I find easiest way to do it is in a non stick pan with the rice & stock & then add the vegetables.
I often do mine with courgettes & peas

    Evening all

Well done Beanie and Maman, great results.

I've finally got round to doing the gin and tonic jellies! I gave up looking for cocktail glasses and decided to use whisky glasses instead as I have some of those, I'm going to use half the jelly with gin and tonic and whisk the other half with lemon yogurt. I had to buy a food mixer for that, but after spending hours whisking egg whites by hand last week I decided I should get one. The g&t bit is in the fridge now, when they've set I'll put a layer of lemon 'mousse' on the top.

Enjoy the rest of the evening, back tomorrow.

    LL :)

Morning all, sorry I haven't been on in ages, I just don't know where the time goes!? Reporting a 1lb loss this week which is a massive relief, all things considered. My meals have all been on plan, full of Speed, etc. and I've been doing loads of exercise, but it's the snacking - I'm starting to think I have some kind of actual food addiction. My hands feel restless all the time, wanting to dip into a bag of Maltesers or something, you know how smokers describe giving up? My holiday is really looming large on the horizon though (11 weeks today!) and I want to enjoy it, not spend it feeling fat and frumpy.

Today will be fruit for breakfast then I think I need to use up a load of shrivelly mushrooms so maybe an omelette for lunch. Will check in later with full breakdown. Love to all xx

great losses Beanie and Maman :)

I too get to report a loss...2lb off for me please Shala. almost couldn't believe.

The day before I'd been doing my stats on my Tanita scales (body fat, muscle mass, bone mass, body water %, basal met rate [calories needed to maintain] and metabolic age and visceral fat [the bad stuff around the organs]) and my scales showed a maintain or gain though I tend to ignore the weight aspect of the reading now.

further good news; I've brought my (absolutely shocking) metabolic age down by 3 years now and shifted a full litre of visceral fat :) all good news.

Drinking a cup of Herbalife 'instant herbal beverage with tea extracts' just about the only herbalife product I didn't have issues with when I tried that stuff! it's quite nice actually...it apparent 'burns fat' but I'm guessing that's because the 85mg caffeine in every cup gives you so much energy you fidget and the green tea extracts which are supposed to be good for weightloss anyway. It needs using and I'm trying to have fewer milky drinks at work so all good

breakfast today has been a write off; its in my journal and done now.

lunch: I brought in a tub of my homemade pulled pork (pork shoulder, Heinz bbq beans, mushrooms, onion, orange pepper slow cooked) but nothing to have it with. to be fair it's lush just on its own so may just do that! or I'll go and buy a lettuce and make wraps of it with the leaves :)

    tea: not sure yet.

I'm flexing tomorrow as it's my FIL's 50th birthday party (pirate fancy dress BBQ and hot tub :/ shindig) I won't be going crazy though as MIL's BBQ food is likely to just be a bit of salad, burgers and sausages. I'm going to take some melon I think (for littlie ;) ) cheeky but protecting myself hehe

I sometimes have days when I just want to keep nibbling on things, it might help if you can find something free or speed to replace it with like carrot sticks, celery, blueberries, grapes, satsuma segments etc - make a mixed bag up of them and dip in every now and again to see what you get.

and I'm wondering what other meals I could batch cook. Maybe some sheppards pie, spag Bol?

I always have Bolognese sauce, savoury mince and chilli (in rotation) in the freezer for an easy HM ready meal. All are packed with Speed veg as well as the mince so make an EE meal in themselves. I don't make up the cottage pies in advance just take out some mince and add mash (carrot and swede if you want to do EESP) when I'm ready. I batch cook soup too but you may not need to if it's quick in the soup maker.

I use these for individual puddings lois but I don't suppose you have an Ikea near you?

Lois is right tete. There's nothing wrong with snacking but you need to be prepared so that you don't end up with the wrong things. I think we all know the feeling of wanting something to nibble on although we're not remotely hungry.

I've done a lot of grazing on strawberries and raspberries lately and cold meats are another favourite. I've taken a pack of smoked salmon trimmings from the freezer to have on Melba toasts so that'll be fairly low syn. You can make yourself a free dip (yogurt and mint sauce?) for the veg sticks or put cottage cheese on the celery. You could be more than a stone lighter in 11 weeks. Stick with it!!;)

Good idea taking your melon to the BBQ lush. Any chance you could take some BGTY sausages and burgers? I'd stay off any buns/rolls if I were you and hope there's a bit of salad going begging.

I've put some proper trousers on today to celebrate my weightloss!:D I couldn't face anything but leggings (certainly not clean jeans:eek:) since I've been back from holiday and as I've just been mooching around feeling sorry for myself I've got away with it.

I've had a SW breakfast ( fried eggs on HEB toast) but not sure what's happening for the rest of the day. I'll be doing some food shopping but I've still got no energy and I'm running out of easy meal ideas! I'm off to write meal plan and hopefully find some inspiration.:)

thanks maman; I'm not a huge white bread or burger lover so I'm thinking 1 burger (birds eye original beef so 5.5 syn) with lettuce and tomato plus cucumber. then a sausage (their usual brand is 5 syn) and more salad...then the fruit. I'll have a glass of prosecco but nothing else as we have littlie etc then stick to pepsi max/diet lemonade.

I usually flex on a Saturday for a Chinese/pizza etc so I'm hoping this is a way to limit any damage this week - I will take some asda reduced fat sausages (pre cooked) at 0.5 syn for 2 if we have any left at home :)
