Evening all
Mirry - welcome back. You could join a group using a free membership voucher and just go once. You'll get the latest starter information, a new starter talk from the consultant, full access to the website for a few weeks and it will cost less than buying books on eBay. If you sign up for online membership you will have access to Syns Online and the Syns Calculator which gives you all the syn values of branded and own brand foods but isn't very user friendly IMO.
Fozziebeartoo - welcome to the thread, feel free to ask any questions about the plan. You could also post your meal plans if you want, we can let you know if there's anything you're doing wrong.
Sorry to hear quite a few people are struggling at the moment. Don't be too disheartened, we all have bad days and blips along the way, try to put it behind you, once you get back in the zone things will start to happen. Virtual (dodgy) hugs to all who need them. :grouphug:
Back tomorrow.

Hope my fellow sicknotes are feeling better (6th day of antibiotics of 7 and not feeling much better) and congratulations to you lovely losers, onwards and downwards0 -
Thank you Lois Lane, I'm wondering if I should of done that.
Last night I was looking on eBay for the directory book & put a bid in just as I was going to bed. Woke up this morning to find I won the bid but paid £27  The reason I bid so high was because I went on quidco yesterday to find I had £25 sitting there
Not so bad I tell myself
So it's day 2 for me, yesterday I ate 3 bananas ....is this too much?
I'm in pain waiting for the hospital to call me to remove 2 teeth & banana is easier to chew. The good thing is I take twice as long to eat my meals at the moment, always a silver lining!
Today's plan:
I filled up a container with 300ml of soya milk for today's cuppas (HEA).
breakfast today.....
3 sesame seed ryvitas with banana (I think this is a HEB?).
Lunch:
Quorn sausage best of British 2 syns
2 sainsbobs hash browns 3 syns
2 eggs scrambled FREE
Beans FREE
Dinner
Sweet potato/mushroom curry with rice - Free
I might use the rest of my syns on sesame ryvitas...can anyone please confirm how many syns are they each? Im confused as I've read different values online.
Snacks/treats....
Mango/grapes/tangerines
I was going for a EE day but this looks like a GREEN DAY, is it?Kindness costs nothing0 -

As Beanie says, SW no longer support the old Red and Green plans so the problem is not having access to the information online, which means unless someone has an old book (or a very good memory) it's difficult to give information like Healthy Extra quantities.
Having said that, some of us still do green days occasionally - it's good for vegetarians or if you decide to have a meat free day, and it means you can have 2 HEBs.
Your day looks fine and you can have another HEB.
Bananas are free food, so you can eat as many as you like to satisfy your appetite.
Good luck with your weight loss.

wow a lot has changed by the looks of things. I wonder why they stopped the green/red?
If it's just extra easy they promote, then have they changed any of the allowed free foods?
Am I allowed all free foods on red and green day?
Thanks for your help on this xKindness costs nothing0 -

Of course, beanie's right that SW have stopped promoting Red and Green days now so as far as they're concerned they don't officially exist any more. However many people who do remember them will still use them (if only occasionally) as they have the advantage of the extra HEXs, aren't so adamant about the one third Speed and Green suits vegetarians particularly.
I'd say your menu for today looks exactly like a Green day and I'd treat it like that. Unless you have masses of tangerines and mushrooms in your curry it couldn't be an EE day as bananas, mangoes and grapes are only free food not Speed and you need at least a third of Speed for EE to work well.
I can't think of free foods that now have syns but there are Speed foods that are now just free, like the fruits I've just said. I think it's because of the sugar content so if you could eat strawberries or raspberries instead of your bananas it would help. I think even Green works better with plenty of Speed (used to be Superfree) foods. Denise often has Green days and is something of an expert but she's away at the moment. I have an old book so just ask if you need help.-1 please Shala
No idea how, can only assume I've coughed it out (sorry)
I'm hoping for the same effect here topgirl. Can't decide if I'll go to WI tomorrow but I need to face the music soon. Other than maybe not quite enough Speed I've been back on plan for 12 days now so hope to have shifted holiday gain.
It's hard to guess the syns in a non-branded beefburger lush but best to just allow some syns and get them eaten up. It's a bit like when you first start SW when you have synful food in store and it's not very mse to throw it away. You could always feed them to BF and littlie and have something different yourself if you want to avoid any syns. I like the Sainsbury's BGTY burgers at 1 syn each, having that tonight.
I'm still lurching along with easy meals as I really don't feel like cooking.
Today's EE plan:
B: NAS grapefruit, fried egg, HEB toast
L: fried potatoes and veg with ham?SW chips, BGTY burger, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried onions, peas
Syns: squirt of HP sauce
Yesterday I bought some marzipan chocolate in Aldi. I reckon there are about 8 syns in a bar. I've eaten one bar.:o0 -
Thanks , yes the book is 2016.
I have just been to the market & got some strawberrys, and will try to fill up with speed foods :A.
To save confusion I will stick with EXTRA EASY PLAN, and will try to research the speed foods. I will get thereKindness costs nothing0
