Wheezy and sent home from work early. Supposed to be working a festival tomorrow, so we will see.

    B) Cup of tea

    D) Peanut butter on toast when I woke up from my nap (approx. 10 syns :o )

    T) Vegetable chilli slow cooked yesterday. Another fab recipe and this one is totally syn free

Slice up a medium courgette, green pepper, two celery sticks, two onions and two cloves of garlic (I used 2 tsp of lazy :) ). Add to the slow cooker with 2 tins of chopped tomatoes, 1 kidney beans (I use the ones in chilli sauce) and a tin of sweetcorn. Add 1-3 tsp chilli powder (depending on taste), 1/2 tsp cumin and 1 tsp oregano. Mix well and add a little water if needed. Cook on high for 4-5 hours.

Hoping it'll clear me up a bit. And out (Sorry :o )

    Have finally got some wifi!

Definitely not sticking to plan very much with all the french sticks and red wine but plenty of body magic with all the walking we're doing.

Having pork with new pots and veg his evening so at least that is fairly sw friendly.

Will check in again whem I can.

Right that's me, off home to enjoy the tennis with a few gins and a tuna pasta salad for tea.

    Have a good weekend all!

If you fancy a long cold drink with red wine, ask for a tinto verano with sin azucar gaseosa - it's like a white wine spritzer and very refreshing. The gaseosa is like diet lemonade so the only syns are for the red wine but make sure it's sin azucar (sugar free). Have a lovely time - I'm a bit envious, can't wait to get back there again. :)

Hope everyone having holidays and breaks has a good time, with at least some summery weather.

    Have a good day.

    LL :)

Thanks LL that's a fantastic tip. I've never heard of that before and I will definitely give it a try!

Well done, shala, beanie, lantanna, lush and Emmylou.

Chin up, Tete, you’ll come good again.

I’ve been to a few of those live theatre/cinema events and I agree they are really good, Lois.

    Friday
    Breakfast: beans on hexb toast
Lunch: baked potato, prawn mayo (1), very sad salad, ML Greek style mango yogurt
Dinner: lamb hotpot (1 ½ ), potatoes, carrots, asparagus
    Snacks: Doritos!

Well, I’m on the downhill slope now SW wise; struggling to make sensible meals that are a) SW friendly b) appetising c) require no effort and no washing up! I bought cheese and prawns today. I still have plenty of raw meat in freezer, but not using that as I’d have to buy more ingredients, so I’ll still be shopping from freezer for another week when we come home.

    Night all.

Same here. The opera ones are really great. Locally, when they relay from the NY Met it's teatime here and people turn up with hampers, wine etc. It's brilliant.

Have a brilliant holiday greentiger. I've only ever been to Lake Garda but thoroughly enjoyed other holidays both city breaks and places like Tuscany and Sorrento. Italy's great. Enjoy!!

So far today I've had SW friendly breakfast (fried eggs on HEB toast). Not much in to have lunch (could stretch to a JP?) but not felling massively hungry. I must do my meal plan as DH is threatening to come food shopping with me to 'help'.

Thanks, maman. I love Italy too. It sounds like you and I have been visiting the same places. I've stayed in the Venice area a couple of times as well as Tuscany and the Amalfi coast. My daughter and I will celebrate her 40th later this year in Rome, her choice - she has the Italian bug too! She's going to Garda for her summer holidays.
