    Hi all

Went to group tonight and lost 1.5, which means I'm finally into the next stone - I seem to have been there or thereabouts for ages.

We had a taster session and a party to celebrate the target members. The tasters were really good, I'm inspired to try a few things like falafels and southern chicken, I made coconut macaroons which were very popular. I should have thought it through first though - I haven't got an electric mixer so I had to beat the mixture with a balloon whisk. I left DH doing it while I popped to the coop for desiccated coconut, hoping it would be done by the time I got back but it took ages. I haven't got an icing bag either so I spooned the mixture onto the baking tray and shaped it into rounds.

I bought the new magazine tonight and I've read through the recipes - there were quite a few of them that involve equipment I haven't got, mlike a liquidiser, food processor etc, I haven't got space for any more gadgets so I won't be doing them.

There's a recipe for crab cakes with coconut, and as I now have half a packet of desiccated coconut in the cupboard I may try them!

I sat next to a lady who started last week and she'd gained half a pound and was quite disappointed (understandably) so we had a chat about what she'd been eating, hopefully she's feeling encouraged and won't give up.

Well done to all the losers this week, and commiserations if you haven't lost, as Beanie says, keep plodding, it will happen.

Weigh day today! Just want it over with, hate this hanging around waiting to know all day.

Hoping for at least one off, my mission is to get one every week from now til xmas.

Strangely enough Maman, that's what I ate a lot of this week, omelettes and lentil soup although my lentil soup had a few potatoes in it.

Hope you feel better soon! Had my Heb Eggs on toast with Laughing Cow Light this morning, lunch is crabsticks and fruit. Need to decide what I'm having for dinner as it will be about 8 by the time I get home.

Last night I was all for getting a chippy or a Chinese, today I'm not really thinking that way anymore. Strange how we can talk ourselves in and out of something and the night before weigh in the Sausage Supper Special from the chippy seems to be calling to you when on any other night you don't even think about it!

Will be joining you, really cold and wet here a cup of hot soup just the thing lol. Lentil is usually a favourite with me but have made a pot of celery and potato as celery was only 29p in Tesco I bought 2 and then my DIL turned up with another 2 she had bought me. It is really nice I used left over mash from the freezer and a sprouting onion.

The onions were 25p for 4kg reduced in Asda and I will dry some for
winter. The celery will keep for weeks in a vase with a little water it makes roots and just keeps growing.

Stinking cold has turned into stinking chest infection :(

Antibiotics from the doctor started. In work, snuffling still.

    B) A large cup of tea :(

    D) Chicken and egg salad. Maybe one of those mighty madras mug shot things and an apple if I'm hungry in a bit.

    T) Not sure yet. Whatever I can be bothered making, if I can be bothered to cook. If not, I'll do savoury rice and fruit or some kind of soup.
  • Hello all - hope you all feel better soon you poor sickies.

So this week I've been going out of my way to have variety in my food and to make sure I have a 1/3 speed at every meal...sneaky peak on the scales looks like I'm up 2 lbs!! How bloody frustrating!! I was hoping for 2 lb off this week as my holidays are jjust over 3 weeks away and I wanted to lose 6 lbs to get me down to 13:13 which I haven't seen in years!

Hopefully it's just water and I have a miracle between here and Saturday's weigh in. *huffs*

    Food today:

B: in a mad rush and just grabbed 2 cooked bits of bacon (no fat)
L: a big chicken salad (loads of speed)
D: thinking SW cod and chips with mushy peas and a salad

Going out in a minute for C25K day 2
