Well as if this morning couldn't get any worse, I've gone and gained 3.5lbs :wall:
It's been a really, really busy week - days and evenings, and I've just felt tired and disorganised and fed up. I didn't think I've been that bad, but I've certainly been snacking on toast and cereal bars and so on. I've got four days off now, but Tuesday-Friday next week are going to be chockablock too, so I need to make the most of my time off to do some batch cooking.
Hope everyone else has had a good week xxWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Morning all
Raining here, which feels quite apt after the result of the referendum. I'm pretty tired too - I stayed up late to see the first results coming in, then didn't sleep very well, had to go to the loo 3 times and checked the results on my phone each time and couldn't believe what I was seeing, I really didn't think it would be leave.
Anyway, back on topic!
Kim kim - welcome to the thread. You will be amazed at how much you can eat and still lose weight. Your menu looks quite good, but you need to have more speed food - you could have some vegetables with the ready meal, berries with the porridge, swap the banana for an apple for example. Feel free to ask any questions, there are plenty of helpful people here.
Tete - commiserations for your gain. I hope the coming week is better for you. Maybe you could think of some free food alternatives for the bread and cereal bars if it's going to be the same. And then I had a slice of chocolate cake this afternoon. However I've been feeling a little down and it was just going round and round my head so I thought what the hell. But we did go for a bike ride (that I hated) and then went for a 4 mile run which I much more enjoyed!
You're on holiday MrsP so don't beat yourself up for having an occasional treat - I hope you enjoyed it too, there's nothing worse than having something nice and then feeling guilty with every mouthful. You're getting plenty of exercise which will help to counteract the affects of the extra syns.
Well done Abbafan, Shala and anyone else who has lost this week. :T
Have a good day everyone - it's nearly the weekend! :j

Lois I feel the same as you about the news this morning - may even have shed a tear!
Some really good losses on here in the last couple of pages - well done everyone!
Sorry to hear of your gain Tete, today is a new day and you'll lose it by next week I bet. Keep your chin up.
I have been saintly :A this week and my bathroom scales show a good loss BUT my SW weigh-in is Monday which means I have to have nerves of steel to get through the weekend without putting it all back on again! If I can lose 3lbs I'll get my first tone award so I'm trying to focus on that. Wish me luck, I'll let you know what happens on Monday night...
I have a new favourite meal; honey & mustard pork kebabs from Waitroseum. You get four chunky kebabs in a pack (the sauce is in a separate sachet) so enough for two adults and I served them with roasted peppers, onion and courgette and a green salad. I think the only syns were one or two for the honey in the glaze and one for the light salad dressing I use. I had to buy two packs as we have kids which made them a bit expensive (£4 per pack) but you could recreate the meal by buying your own pork and making your own dressing which is what I will do from now on I think.0 -

by some miracle I'm reporting a loss of 1lb for this week!
Breakfast today was not very plan friendly (sausage, mushroom and black pudding sandwich on a wholemeal roll and a small orange juice - absolutely gorgeous and a little pay day perk and commiserating over the referendum results!)
lunch however was a baked omelette (egg, yellow pepper, tomatoes, mushroom and 1/4 hea in cheese) on a bed of lettuce with tinned potatoes (using up the fridge contents before the weekend away!) more tomatoes, cucumber and yellow pepper
tea - will be out and about as we are leaving about 20 minutes after I get home! if we end up with fish and chips it will be fish and mushy peas (can't promise to remove all the batter though!) otherwise I will make the best choices I can
same goes for much of the weekend actually. there will be Saturday treats tomorrow but sunday should be fine************************************

Afternoon all,
Hope everyone's ok..
 hi kimkim, welcome to the board.. Have you visited before as I seem to recognise your name? Unfortunately I lose track of lots as so many people pass through..
Tete, can understand your annoyance. It might not be a proper gain though, so it will probably come off quite easy next week. Could it be partly water rentention?
Had a trip to the butchers today, loads of meat stuffed in the freezer nowI'm not sure where they get their chickens from but they must be dinosaur chickens!! Never seen such huge breasts :rotfl: one weighed 400g.. Anyway meal plan now done too so hoping for another loss this week..
There will be a cinema visit on Wednesday to see Independence Day but no popcorn
Menu for today - red day
B - yogurt(0.5) banana
L - Italian chicken soup, thin (heb)
T - sausages(1.5) bacon, eggs, chicken, toast (Heb)
S - milk (hea) crisps (4) Alpen light (3)Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Lois Lane - it was very enjoyable and I didn't regret it at all. I also hate that feeling which is why I try and reserve these treats for when I'm absolutely in need of it, not just when I fancy it. Had a tuna mayo sandwich on granary bread that had butter or margarine on it for lunch but compared to what else was available on the menu I chose well.
I too am distraught over this morning. Very nervous about the future now but I suppose we've got to get on with it.0 -

Glad it wasn't just me eating my feelings yesterday! Had a very bad day food-wise but I did spend most of the day gardening and somehow managed to rack up more than 10,000 steps?! Garden is looking a lot less jungly now and looking at it makes me feel peaceful so that's a good way to start the day today!
Thanks all for your messages of support, yes hopefully it'll be a 'blip' come off quickly this week. I really need to stop fannying about though and just get on with it.
Today I'm going to parkrun and then a food festivaland tomorrow I'm doing a race that finished by the sea and everyone's going for fish and chips
But I'll certainly plan well for the week ahead.
Hope you all have a good weekend!
PS Lush that sandwich sounds amazing!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0
