Hi my posting of my losses .:j :j :j
SHALA, La La ,SHALA La La , Bingo 2lb off YEH ! :T:T:T
And about time too. Can't be BIG bold and RED sorry.:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Settling in at the cottage nicely. Did some shopping at Marks & Sparkson the way down (had some vouchers we needed to use up). I really wanted pizza and they had a nice small, thin one (185g). So I got that. It was still 23 1/2 syns but I feel like I've had my pizza and don't need another one. In total had about 34 syns yesterday but be written it all down.
I splashed out and bought one of those tiny bottles of cava and shared that with the hubby in the hot tub last night. That's my alcohol consumption for the year. So far I've got away with it. Not feeling depressed, but still rather tired.
Popped out to J Sains earlier and got a few more bits and bobs mostly fruit and veg but also for my previous, previous Diet Coke. I also bought a multi pack of Freddos just in case.
Weather is wet today so probably won't leave the cottage but hopefully hubby will go fishing after Le Mans 24 finishes. He's listening/watching on the iPad (with headphones bless him).
My plan this week is to try and eat on plan for the most part but don't beat myself up when I don't but to still write everything down. Even if I do have 35+ syns0 -
Hope everyone's having a good weekend.
I went to 2 festivals yesterday and was so worried I'd totally blow it food wise but did OK.
First event was a vegan fair, had a look at the food options and found a lovely potato salad (no mayo) so had that with some spiralised courgette and carrot salad, then got to my favourite vegan burger stand and told the staff I was on slimming world and they did me chargrilled chicken style burger strips on a bed of salad with homemade salsa which was syn free, allowed few syns for any oil on the BBQ grill. There were some fantastic cakes there but I said no and didn't buy any.
Did buy 2 slices of a mushroom, lentil and quinoa bake but one was for my Mum and I've frozen mine in 2 slices for future use. Didn't manage to avoid the cashew cream cheese - but so hard to buy decent artisan vegan cheese - again I'll share with Mum and think most vegan cream cheese is 3 syns per 100g but might weigh it and count it as cashew nuts.
At the second festival I avoided the veggie burger stall and had a portion of veggie spicy noodles with vege - not over hungry so brought other half home and Mums had them. Queue for vegan churros was luckily way too long.
Avoided alcohol and had a jacket and beans with salad for tea so all in all it was fine.
Back on plan today and counted yesterday at 25 syns but might add another 10 as had to know what oil caterers add to food.
Today so far I've had a brunch - Lin Mac Rosemary sausages, garlic mushrooms, baked beans, grilled tomatoes and vegan egg scrambled (yes such a food now exists!) all free and a slice of wholemeal toast but I'm feeling a lot healthier without bread so don't think I'll have anymore bread or wheat pasta.
Think I've heard possibility of a Chinese meal for dinner as Father's Day but I'll just order plain rice and maybe tofu in sauce or do my own stir fry.
Got to keep off the alcohol today.Sealed Pot Challenge number 8 Amount declared £365.50.

Hi everyone. A 0.5lb gainfor me this week.
Getting a bit fed up now and a bit complacent now I'm in "normal" size clothes after a life time of being plus size. I think the problem is that I feel I've had to sacrifice the things I enjoy in life and I'm starting to rebel. I've always enjoyed cooking, I have about 101 different cookbooks but I can barely use any of them on SW. I have my SW cookbooks and the stuff I just throw together but (in my opinion) most of the recipes are just a variation on a theme so I get bored of them very quickly. Don't really know how to get myself out of this rut. I want to lose about another 2 stone but its 2 steps forward and 1 back at the moment. Sorry for the rambling.0 -
Haven't posted for a few days - Did the run yesterday and it was great. My 2 daughters and hubby were there to watch. My youngest daughter (12) ended up doing it with me as well, we were given a spare ticket and she really enjoyed it! Our just giving page has got £775 so far.
Normally weigh in at group on Saturday morning but I booked yesterday as a holiday. I can't weigh in next Saturday either, so I'm going on Thursday evening instead so I don't lose a week (I have a countdown) . I'm hoping to at least reach my interim target of 12st or even better if the scales show 11st something. Fingers crossed!Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £26,322.670 -
Hello all - checking in with a 1/2 loss which meant I got my 1 stone shiney and I was so flipping excited!! DD got her 1/2 stone shiney which made us really happy lol!!
We went to nandos today for father's day and DS and I shared a meal...I always find nandos too filling and he has a small appetite (he's 24 but doesn't eat a lot) so we got 4 chicken thighs between us (they looked tiny when the arrived and I nearly regretted my decision but as it was plenty - had it with corn on the cob and I shared my coleslaw with hubby - gonna just flexi syn it. I'm craving lasagne so I'm going to make that tomorrow.0 -

Evening all
The rain hasn't stopped today, it's miserable. Makes me wonder if those couple of weeks of good weather were the summer.:(
MrsP - I just noticed predictive text had been doing its evil work on my last post and unhelpfully changed your name to mess! Whereabouts in Devon are you?
Alison - the foods you eat sound amazing, you've opened my eyes to the possibilities of a vegan diet. We have a vegan couple staying on site at the moment and I've been thinking about what we could add to our range for vegans and vegetarians.
Abbafan - well done to you and your DD for doing the run, I hope you raise lots of money. :T
Shala - G&T and jelly have been added to my shopping list. :rotfl:
Well done to all the losers this week and commiserations if you've gained. As Beanie says, keep plodding, it will work in the long run.
Enjoy what's left of the weekend and have a great week.
