welcome to the thread slowlyfading..

Thanks for the welcome everyone, what a lovely thread :)

I'm glad I went last night - I had doubts but made myself go. I need to try something to try and change my eating habits for the better. I've spent today trying to stay on track, but I'm somewhat of a chocoholic. I've ended today on 14 1/2 syns which is within limit, but only just :o

    It gets easier, right?

When I first started over two years ago I used to allow my some chocolate each day so that I didnt feel as though I was losing out but a while back I noticed that while I still love chocolate I sometimes opt for a bag of crisps. I dare say though that there are days when only choccie will do ;). Good luck x

    evening,

ended up with a jacket potato with beans and a side salad (no onion don't like it raw but it did include hard boiled egg!) which was luuuuuush! well worth the £3!

Didn't eat any of my mid morning fruit as there just wasn't time with everything I had to get done.

tea changed and was a minute steak with onion and yellow pepper served on lettuce and cherry toms with 1/2 hea grated cheddar and it was divine :)

finally managed some toilet movement...gross I know but I really struggle with this despite drinking more than enough and a steady intake of ruffage!

tomorrow is conference day so its a massively busy day with very little time to eat anything so:
breakfast: fruit to be picked at (strawberries, melon and pineapple)
    snacks: benefit light bars (heb)
    drinks: water, nas squash
tea: no idea yet. I will be beyond knackered so it will be something from the freezer for the others and probably some kind of salad for tea - thinking about it I think I will go and get some prawns out to defrost and have them with some salad and a sauce made from low fat fromage frais (free) and tomato puree (also free)...sounds like a plan.

tomorrow's body magic will be hours of walking and stairs and nervous energy!

    Hi all,

Quickie from me, so so so busy this week :(

B - Baked oat carrot 'muffins' (HExB)
D - Mug Shot (was still full from breakfast!)
T - Chicken and roast veg leftovers from yesterday, plus a Linda Mc red onion and rosemary sausage to bulk it out a bit, and because they taste like stuffing (free)
Other - Coffees (HExA, 3), Aldi Fat Free yog with 2x passion fruit (0.5 - I'm outraged that they are blatantly a copy of Muller Light but not free!), bag of Revels (8.5), hot choc (2)
    TOTAL: 14

SlowlyFading - I like to have an Options/Hi-Lights hot chocolate each evening, they're only 2 Syns and a real chocolate fix (obvs I also had my Revels today, but it sometimes works!!)

Well done Musogirl! Hugs to all the poorly ones! Oooh, Maman, Turkish Delight!!!

A small bag (the fun size multi pack ones) of maltesers is only 5 syns. I buy them, hubby hides them and I ask for one when the mood strikes. Brilliant system.

Hi all. Firstly, Shala, I got to class to weigh in yesterday so I can report a loss of 3 pounds.

I hope everyone is keeping well. Its very wet here today.

I too have got my eye on those diaries that have been given out if you buy a 12 week countdown. I think they will be on general sale in a couple of weeks and I am thinking of getting one.

Well done Flat Eric - 3lb is a fantastic loss.

It's WI for me tomorrow, the last before my holiday and have been fairly good this week and haven't gone over syns so hoping for a loss.

    Today's plan:

B - bacon & mushroom omelette, baked beans
L - LO beef stirfry with extra spiralised carrot & courgette.
D - Beef stew (from freezer); mash

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
HEB - not sure but maybe a couple of Alpen Lights

No syns planned but sure I'll have something this evening.

    Morning all

Very quiet here in [STRIKE]sunny [/STRIKE]Devon - its pouring and we've only had one customer in half an hour, I think they've all decided to have a duvet day.

Slowlyfading - it does get easier once you've got your head around the plan. When you first start you're likely to use syns for meals as you'll have food in your fridge and cupboard that doesn't quite fit into the plan. Most people try to keep meals as syn free as possible so they can save their syns for naughty treats like chocolate and alcohol. You will need to decide what's most important to you so you can decide what to change.

Also, I think you mentioned that you have a lot to lose, and I believe you can have more than 15 syns to start off with in that case. I'm not sure what the rules are, someone else may be able to advise on that.

Welcome back from your holidays Jocko and Newme.

    Have a good day everyone.
