Welcome to the thread slowlyfading. I know what you mean about entering a room full of strangers but everyone is so friendly you'll wonder what you were worried about. I know I was!

Good luck for the interview this afternoon Lantanna.

Need to add up my syns since WI on Thursday to see how many I can have each day Mon-Weds. Think it should be fairly near to the 15 a day as not gone made over the weekend with the wine as not feeling too well and not really wanting it.

I'm going for a Green day today for a change:

B - boiled eggs; soldiers for dipping (2 for butter) - definitely not as nice as when I had them with asparagus and serrano ham last time
    L - beans on toast
D - macaroni cheese with added onions, garlic and peppers for Speed. 4 syns for cheese sauce (milk from 2nd HEA)

    HEA1 - milk for tea
HEA2 - milk for cheese sauce
    HEB1 - bread for soldiers
    HEB2 - bread for toast

Syns: butter 2; cheese sauce mix 4; chocolate (maybe?) 4

1 lb off since last WI! No idea how, thoroughly undeserved and it's star week, but the scales say what they say.

A good week this week, although star week means I won't be checking out the new Taekwondo class this week either.

    B) Bacon and egg sandwich (hexb + 2 for great white bread) with half a punnet of cherry tomatoes on the side. Really enjoyed the change from mushrooms for my speed and I could take those I couldn't manage to work.

    D) Ham and egg salad and a Bolognese mugfull (think these are free or 1 syn), strawberries and an apple and some peaches for later if I feel a bit ish

    T) No idea, Top Bloke is making something SW friendly.

BM - General walking round, school run, commute

HEXA will be milk in tea.

Can't get warm at all and first day of star week always makes me feel a bit bleurgh so I'm more than happy if I stick to this, with an options hot chocolate before bed.

    Congratulations fellow losers :D
  • Best of luck lantanna with your interview and welcome slowlyfading

Ugh bad day yesterday, lots of emotional eating and just feeling generally blue. Then I checked my calendar and noticed that a certain Mother Nature is on her way  so that explains that! Hoping to do better today.

    Today's menu

    B - grapenuts with yoghurt strawbs & a banana
L - not sure yet, maybe a JP with something
T - moroccan chicken tagine with cous cous and veg

Have never made the tagine before, I found it in one of OH's muscle food cookbooks. I'm going to just throw everything in the SC I think and hope for the best :D

    Have a good day everyone
    xx

Thanks guys, off home soon to get changed.

All our good weather is gone. Think I'll make a Bolognese this week.

I've made tagine in the SC before and found it to be fine, the only thing to remember is that you don't need anywhere near as much stock because it doesn't evaporate like it would in a tagine or in a casserole dish in the oven.

I always make my own tagine spice mix so I can get it how we both like it.

    Afternoon all,

welcome new faces :) just another prompt whilst I remember; we have a Facebook group too. PM me with the email address you use for Facebook to be invited in :)

weekend syn-ing done, on to a (hopefully good week)

breakfast: melon, pineapple and strawberries with quark (ate it later than planned as got to work over an hour early and got stuck straight in to work so didn't remember to eat until after 10am!
had a Vimto zero too (free) as I bought a six pack on offer at Morrisons - I like a fizzy drink some days and tend to buy pepsi max at the poundshop but I like fruity things more :)

Lunch: brought a tuna salad in [oops started this at 11am!...continuing now at 3.05!] so tuna, lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, boiled new potatoes, coleslaw (1syn), a pepsi max (free) and maybe a cupshotz (free)

tea: chicken and bacon with more salad (lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, pepper, beetroot, pickled onion, hard boiled egg)

    syns:smarties little bar 5.5, coleslaw 1

    heb: no idea
    hea: no idea

I've been purposely running the freezer down to make space for fresh meats (some has been in there getting on 2/3montsh which is the longest I like to keep it really!) and so I can rearrange the drawer contents but this means I am starting to run low on meal inspiration. By pay day next Friday I should have loads of space so can go and get a nice variety of meats/products rather than just chicken and mince! I'm thinking: chicken, mince, turkey, gammon, pork steaks (these may just be for me as OH isn't a huge fan of pork but then when they have nuggets/pizza/etc I can have a pork steak ;) ) etc.
