Well then you should clearly change the thread title to "Damaged my car due to driving like an idiot and without any due care and attention".Wow amazing levels of rudeness from many posters here that is utterly unwarranted, i was merely asking for a bit of advice. If you have nothing constructive to say then say nothing. I was busy and so had not posted photos but here they are naysayers.

It is a little higher than i though, though still pretty invisible as you come round the corner.
Sorry but the only one to blame here is you. Next time you emerge from the garages/car park area try and look to see what's coming BEFORE you pull out.0 -
What's wrong with the area and how is that relevant? I took them when I got home about 3 hours ago. Why so determined to try and accuse someone of being a liar for no apparent reason?
Earlier today you said that the place wouldn't show up on Google Maps because it's only been there 9 months.
I call BS.0 -

I call BS.
No I said the grit bin didn't show up on google streetview as it has only been there 9 months. The houses were built in the 60s/70s.0 -

If you think you're not at fault for hitting that thing, you should hand in your license.0 -

It's still got Autumn leaves on it.
It hasn't snowed here for a long time so I guess not.0 -
That's not even slightly invisible. Get your eyes checked or hand in your licence. You're a danger to other road users and pedestrians.0

Stupid place to put a bin.
you did know it was there though0 -
I don't see that being a council grit bin. Having travelled across a lot of the country I have never seen green council grit bins
They will normally be yellow to stand out as much as possible and they will never be lockable as this one appears to be.
However the fact that it has been there 9 months (by the OP's own admission) and the OP still managed to hit it says it all0 -
If the road shown is a public highway then there is a high likelyhood that the bin should not be on it so the OP may have a case imho. However the OP is also a member of the resident's association that put the bin there in the first place; karma comes to mind.0
