The bulky waste has been collected :j:j:j (oh how I wish I felt like that).
Finally made it to the doctor's for the blood test results and now have tablets for vitamin D deficiency. Googled the symptoms - joint and muscle pain, bone pain, tiredness and depression. I can tick all four boxes so hoping for some improvement. Getting out in the sun isn't an option as yesterday's forays up and down the yard slathered in sun cream have brought out my sun related eczema today.
Huge relief that I'm not just old and fat and lazy and useless - before you all rush in, I wrote that in my notebook to try to make myself angry - an adrenaline rush would be very welcome.
Things that made me happy - a lilac tree, apple blossom, chestnut tree candles, playing 'peep' with a baby in the waiting room.
Good deed - said thank you to the woman who collected the bulky waste. Okay it's her job but it's always nice to be appreciated.
Frugal tip - I've altered the setting on the fridge. This may cost me more but it felt warm in there and a couple of things have gone fuzzy. Food waste is bad and I will adjust it appropriately in the autumn. My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.NST SEP No 1 No Debt No mortgage0 -
Hi soaked through on my walk tonight no sun here.
Busy day in work, visiting few friends after work who somehow had health problems on same night. One fell badly and other had heart complications so that's my kindness for today done.
Did another food shop £23 in lidlee on the way home, only popped in for milk. Better I did shopping today, on granny duties rest of week.
Mothernerd glad you got yourself sorted out, I been trying to diagnose my problem on Internet as been so many times to see Drs and guynae. Treatment had has been poor, made condition worse. However more I read into it could be low vitamin d plus I am always shattered. Might make another appt this week.
Tired and off to bed, nothing frugal springs to mind, brain asleep already:rotfl:LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
I've been reading about vitamin d deficiency recently as my doctor warned me that rickets is on the rise again in children. We don't get enough sun in this country and as soon as we do get sun we cover ourselves in sun block. The risk of skin cancer is so high if u don't cover urself in sun block tho. It's a tough one. I definitely think supplements are the way to go.Mortgage free wannabee 2022 #820

Sure,
you mix 1 cup of chickpea flour/besan flour with some salt and turmeric. Add 1.5 cups of cold water, mix well. Bring another 1.5 cups of water to the boil. Reduce heat and add flour/water mix. Simmer while constantly whisking till it turns really thick and shiny. Pour into a baking dish or similar lined with a dish towel (you don't mind getting stained with turmeric). My dish was about 18*18cm. I also folded the towel over the top and pressed down with a plate and a book to get extra moisture out in the towel. Leave for an hour (I put mine in the fridge) to cool down. ViolaDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Hello,
still sunny and warm up here. Finally planted my replacement seedlings out like beans, pak choi, spinach, beetroot etc. However, I forgot to label the seedlings for cabbage, brussels, kohlrabi and broccoli etc. and they look so similar . So I planted them anyway and we'll just see what we get.
Another SFD. Run at lunch and have to find a tasty potato dinner recipe as we have so many left and I need a cheap meal. Any suggestions?
sorry no good deeds or frugal tips today yet.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

Good morning Turtles!
Happy hump day.
What has made me happy?
I visited my sick gran yesterday and while I was there I went to see another patient who was extremely kind the last time I was in and offered me her last bar of chocolate to give to my gran as she had noticed she had a sweet tooth. I was incredibly touched and so I bought some chocolate to give to her as a way of saying thanks for the kind gesture. I left the ward in tears, she was such a lovely and kind elderly woman.
One thing I done for someone else?
See above ^
Frugal tip?
The chocolate I bought was a large bar of chocolate for £1, the smallest size was 80p. To get more bang for your buck, the cheapest item is not always the best idea.0 -

It is getting quiet here, or I am just a bit bored at work.
Oh thought of a frugal tip. Had to do that now other wise we'd be going through way too much loo roll. Squish the loo roll flat so it doesn't spin so easily in the holder and the little ones don't use two yards every time they go.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Updated my totals, paid another 20 pounds off my cc's today.:T
Apologies couldn't think of anything happy yesterday was feeling tad sorry for myself as didn't feel great.
Today feel lot better. More focused on debt reduction than I have been lately. Claimed an Ipos voucher today woo hoo, these surveys are paying off eventually and also claimed 12 pounds back from Quidco. - Happy Smiley face:)
A SFD today now reached 6 however my food spends gone bit mad. Trouble with running down the cupboards need everything at once, building up supplies slowly.
Trying my hardest to cut out sugar today, craving a cake badly. A probiotic yogurt isn't really a replacement:(
Good deed for someone.
Grandson after work and will call and check on friend tonight.
Yesterday - had a cross over dress on, but lets just say it got lower as the day went on. Lets just say it gives a new meaning to Checkout in Lidlee, lad didn't look at the shopping at all.:o
Frugal tip
share a shower/bath :rotfl:
