Only explanation I have had from a doctor about missing AF is that you *might not* have ovulated for whatever reason.
I'd wait and see if next AF arrives at time it should, if it doesn't you need to give your local authority a kick up the back side to get you registered somewhere.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
I showed as ovulating (got the ferns) for 1 day at a time at 2 seperate points in my cycle, so wasn't sure if I actually did or not until AF arrived at the weekend.
You may have actually ovulated twice...

Well we had "the chat" and OH would like us to have a few months stress free before trying to concieve and I would like to start trying now :rotfl: so we've compromised and I will have one more month on the pill and then come off it but not actively try for the first month or two
He thinks we just need a little time to relax and be us before we actively try and add to the gang - and I can see his point, we've both been very stressed and some us time would be nice
But in the mean time I am having a full check up at the docs and I am going to start taking supplements too in preparation - can't hurt!
Mrs Tine, I came off the pill one month before I got married, we wanted to try for a family 6 months after getting married, anyway we got carried away on our wedding night:D , and as a result I became pregnant.
I just wanted to say you could fall straight away so make sure you are taking the folic acid and use another method of protection if you come off the pill and want to wait."Wisdom doesn't automatically come with old age. I did wonder if that happened, but the 'ferns' are meant to appear for a few days in a row to show ovulation, and i only got one day's worth each time. Well in 6 weeks time it will be 1 year from coming off the pill so will be able to see dr about it all.0 -
Hi everyone,
Did my first BFN test on Monday. Did it with DH there and whilst we were both disappointed we know it is early days (still haven't got a clue about my cycle only finished the pill on 26 April - last pretend AF on 1st May).
No signs of AF though and continue to be nauseous and metallic taste in my mouth (like I have got a mouth full of fillings all of a sudden).
Will test again in a few days if AF doesn't show (although I am tempted to test every dayI am keeping myself in check!)

Before I had the Mirena in my cycles were quite long at 31/33 days. I had tummy ache last night and this morning so I am hoping that is a sign that AF is imminent as I really wanted to have a 'proper' period first so I know where I am with dates...
Just to update on here, the tummy ache was indeed the sign I was looking for as af came back with a vengence yesterday...so cd 2 for me and counting...
At least I know where I am for dates now :T

I came on today too Kathy, and am quite pleased too now that I know what's going on cycle-wise since mirena was removed. Doesn't explain the sickiness that I have been having though, hmmmm. Hey ho! x:jLoves freebies! :j

Excellent news for us both then Helen as we both know where we are now!
I was feeling a bit sicky too at first until I realised that it could be because I had been taking the folic acid tablets first thing on an empty stomach. I've now switched to taking them at night after my main meal and feel much better...
How are your hormones making you feel? Mine are all over the place and it has made me realise just how much the mirena kept them in check! My sense of smell has become ridiculous! I had to ask my work colleague if she had had a drink the night before as I could really smell alcohol on her yesterday morning...turns out she had had 2 glasses of wine and yet I could smell it on herGoodness knows what I will be like when I get pregnant!!!!!!
So pleased I have found this forum...

Aha! So that's why I sit at work feeling really nauseous until I eat a museli bar! Thank you for that - I'll shift when I take my tablets...

Yes so am I pleased I found this forum too.........and yeah I think you're right, it could be the Folic Acid making me feel icky! I tend to feel icky in the afternoon though, maybe it's just the left overs of the hormones lurking around??!
Lol! My sense of smell is the same! How bizarre!
My hormones are all over the place at the moment. One minute I'm ok, then the next I am angry-poor bf, tend to take it out on him, lol.........and then the next I'm crying! I'm starting to wish that I hadn't had the coil removed now, I took it for granted before. Especially since my AF is like niagra falls again! TMI I know.......
Take care
Love Helen xx:jLoves freebies! :j
