Hi everyone, congrats to startingttc:j and good luck to everyone waiting for their BFP
(waddy80 know exactly how you are feeling:grouphug: have a hug)
My AF was due yesterday 16/Th but nothing... not even the dull sore tummy pains or sore boobs. I don't want to get my hopes up as the last time I was late and tested I started to get stomach cramps as soon as the "not pregnant" words appeared and AF followed 20 mins later.
Any idea when I should test?
TIA
x
I try to wait until I am 5 days late. I can't always wait that long but I try.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Hi Shelly,
From what I read, people just lie flat on their stomach, but depending on the degree of tilt (i.e if it is very tilted) it may be best to raise the pelvic area with pillows or go on hands and knees with the bum in the air. Then again, I have also read that it doesn't really matter, that the sperm will find their way regardless.
It is just strange, but after my miscarriage I tried to concieve for 7 months and always put my legs up in the air for 20-30 mins, with no success. The month I did concieve, I wasn't really trying as I was so sick of it all and just lay on the sofa afterwards watching telly. I think when I first concieved (with the pregnancy that miscarried) I just lay flat too, as at that time we were not really trying that hard.
It could have some relevance, or maybe I was just more relaxed - I am not sure.

Thanks you so much for replying. I'll try that next time.
The first time we conceived was 2 months after coming off the pill and like you we weren't trying that hard, it just happened. No sticking pillows under butts or legs in the air
The second time (2 yrs later) was pretty much the same. We had just had the pressure lifted as we received an appointment with a fertility doc so stopped trying so hard then it just happened.
Its now been another 2 years (since 2nd mc and removal of cervix) and my consultant has said he is going to get in touch with fertility doc again so hopefully it might happen again itself!:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -
Hello everyone
- I can't believe I am actually telling anyone but DH and I are TTC now - first cycle, all very exciting and frightening and all-consuming.
All I am thinking about is when I can test...it is driving me nuts. I thought I would ask you lot rather than faff about on google - which is the best test to use and what is the earliest you can test?
Love and luck to you all

i know with some tests that you can get a result as early as 5 days b4 time of month due (T.O.M), based on the hcg level, but depends on when your ovaluation is, I personnally wouldnt use it, as once b4 used one day b4 due on it was neg, yet a week after I should of come on it was positive.
I know its nail biting but try and wait a couple of days after T.O.M., i used clear blue, and also tesco value, they were all accurate, and again try for the 1st wee of the day, the chance of the hormone being present is stronger.
good luck, keep fingers crossed. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -

My main problem is that I have only just come off the pill and so haven't got a clue what my cycle is like (it has been years!). I really wasn't expecting anything for a while but I seem to be displaying lots of symptoms. Either my body is playing (very good) tricks on me - in which case I would be devastated at a negative, or I have fallen already...
My last bleed on the pill started on 1st May. I then bled lightly on 10th, 11th & 12th May (but too light and not like a period type bleed - I think) since then lots of twinges and bloatedness, and sore nipples (not all the boob though), slept for England yesterday and today having waves of nausea and weeing every hour.
It could be my body playing tricks (or rather my mind wanting it to be so) but it just seems to feel like I am IYSWIM...
Anyone else gone through these kind of symptoms and then got a negative test? I need calming down a little I think.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Yes all of us I should think lol!!!
I definitely did and for me it was my body adjusting to coming off the pill and getting 'normal' again.0 -

As its your first month since coming off the pill I would use the first day of your last fake AF (Aunt Flo-period) as the date your next AF is due, which would be June 1st?
The tests I use are £1 each from my local Savers shop but when they run out I am buying from accessdignostics as the more you buy the better deal you get. Link here http://www.accessdiagnostics.co.uk/acatalog/Early_home_pregnancy_test_offer.html
Here are the prices~~
2 Early Pregnancy Test @ £1.99
5 Early Pregnancy Tests @ £2.29
10 Early Pregnancy Tests @ £3.00
20 Early Pregnancy Tests @ £5.00
40 Early Pregnancy Tests @ £9.00
80 Early Pregnancy Tests @ £17.49
They do early tests too but as mum2one said, I wouldn't trust them unless I could time my AF to the day. I have in the past used Predictor as well as the £1 each ones and they were both as good as eachother.
HTH & good luck:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

Hi MFD
If you get a chance, sit down with a nice cuppa and a few biccies, have a read through the whole thread. You will find loads of tips and info about how peaople have been feeling etc, whilst ttc.:D
I would say wait at least until 1st June as this would be a month since last AF. My friend didn't show a positive on her test until 13 days late for AF, so please do try to calm down, as being stressed about it all also will affect your cycle too.....
(i'm a fine one to talk though:rolleyes: )

Right poas today - BFN:(
strangely getting no symptoms of any kind, either pg or af????
I'm trying to not get stressed about it and will not test again for another week. I've got a lot to keep me busy at the moment anyway so it shouldn't occupy my every thought....although I was lying in bed this morning thinking, why on earth do I want to put myself through those sleepless nights etc???? I must be mad!!!
